    Marketing Officer

    Job Summary

    Qualifications and Competencies

    1. Bachelors degree in marketing
    2. Be a qualified chartered or certified marketer
    3. At least 3 years experience in a similar capacity. Banking experience will be an added advantage
    4. Strategic thinking ability, Confident and dynamic
    5. Have a strong creative outlook
    6. Possess analytical and critical thinking skills
    7. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    8. Be of exemplary integrity and honesty

    Responsibilities

    1. Liaising with the CEO on new innovations  in the finance industry and how they are influencing the marketing efforts
    2. Developing marketing plans geared towards membership growth in line with the Sacco strategic plan
    3. Supporting the development of the website and the social sites and ensuring they are regularly updated
    4. Conducting market research and competitor analysis regularly with the aim of determining customer needs, demands and potential improvement on products.
    5. Updating members on current Sacco products through quartery bulletin and SMS on need basis
    6. Manage the marketing budget
    7. Organize implementation and review of member education
    8. Organize Annual/Special General Meetings
    9. Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

    Credit Officer

    Reporting to:  Credit Manager

    Duties and responsibilities:

    1. Appraise all loan applications as per the Sacco lending policy
    2. Maintain and update data on all borrowers.
    3. Ensure that loan guard schedule is accurate and submitted on time
    4. Ensure that the guarantor register is updated.
    5. Analyze guarantee and follow up on security perfection process.
    6. Accompany Valuers to view properties submitted for loan security and make independent report.
    7. Follow with members who have delinquent loan via telephone and emails as per the lending policy
    8. Monitor performance of loans and recommend remedial measures in consultation with the Credit Manager.
    9. Co-ordination of client visits to ensure every loanee is visited
    10. Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications and Competencies

    1. Degree in a business-related field from a recognized University
    2. KCSE Minimum C+ with C+ in mathematics
    3. Computer proficiency especially in accounting packages
    4. At least 3 years’ experience in a related field
    5. Be of exemplary integrity and honesty
    6. Have excellent financial analysis skills

    Customer Service Officer

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Handle all enquiries through the phone, email, online chats, letters and physical visits by members and potential members.
    2. Register new members, process all the required documentation and input the information into the Sacco System
    3. Direct all queries to the relevant staff, follow up and give feedback to members
    4. Maintain a clean and updated database of members records
    5. Ensure timely, accurate and efficient flow of information to and from members of the Sacco in Kenya and the Diaspora
    6. Maintain a log of members complaints, follow up to ensure timely resolution of the complaints and provide feedback to the members

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations or Marketing from a recognized University
    • Minimum of 2 years professional experience in a similar position
    • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills, including the capacity to converse warmly and effortlessly with members
    • Good computer, presentation and organization skills
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
    • Integrity and professionalism

    ICT Officer

    Reporting To:    Sacco Manager

    SYSTEMS AND STAFF SUPPORT

    1. Perform day-to-day IT tasks including staff support, IT systems setup and installation, systems management, and maintenance.
    2. Manage the Sacco network infrastructure and ensure that the machines, servers, network, and powers systems are running efficiently.
    3. Manage Sacco electronic communication systems including Email, Internet, and website. When necessary, liaise with internet service providers to resolve internet connectivity issues.
    4. Update the Sacco website accordingly.
    5. Maintain an up to date Inventory of the Sacco IT Equipment and recommend equipment replacements where necessary based on the policies and need.
    6. Provides technical advice on new technologies that are appropriate in enhancing the Sacco’s service delivery.

    NETWORK & DATA SECURITY

    1. Ensure that high standards of integrity, availability and confidentiality of all Sacco data, information, networks, systems, and other IT resources are maintained.
    2. Perform daily system monitoring, review and address system & application logs, document and report any security incidences to the Sacco management.
    3. Ensure that all machines and systems are up to date with the current anti-virus software. Install software, OS and firmware updates and security patches when available.
    4. Ensure that the Sacco website highly available and the SSL certificate is up to date. Ensure members portal is always functional and secure.
    5. Conduct regular system audits. Prepare, and share regular reports with Sacco management.

    DISASTER MITIGATION AND BUSINESS CONTINUITY

    1. Develop, manage, and communicate a disaster mitigation and recovery plan that will ensure good data recovery in case of system failure/malfunction to ensure business continuity.
    2. Ensure all Sacco data is backed up daily and accurately following the backup plan. Conduct regular tests for the backup.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized University
    • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a similar position
    • Highly familiar with a wide variety of IT security, network engineering and operating system software
    • Integrity
    • Good problem-solving skills
    • Leadership, organizational and communication skills
