    Assistant Finance Manager/Accountant

    Job Overview

    Our client a macadamia nut processor and exporter based in Juja is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented assistant Finance Manager/Accountant to support our financial operations. This position will assist with managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the
    overall financial health of the company.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
    • Support the Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
    • Process invoices, expenses, and payments in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
    • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
    • Monitor and maintain accounting records, ensuring proper documentation and supporting data for all transactions.
    • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
    • Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies in financial reports.
    • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in coordination with senior finance staff.
    • Support the implementation and monitoring of internal controls.
    • Assist in preparing financial reports for management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
    • Handle various ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis tasks as required by management.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles (assistant finance manager or accounting ).
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
    • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and accuracy.

     Preferred Skills

    • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA)
    • Experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
    • Knowledge of tax regulations and corporate compliance.
