    Community Outreach Officers - Embu

    The Community Outreach Officers will play a key role in driving growth of CIC Microinsurance by generating new business, engaging communities and institutions and promoting Microinsurance products within the assigned regions and sectors. The position involves lead generation, relationship management, client education and ensuring efficient service delivery in collaboration with internal teams.

    This role offers an attractive performance-based incentive and override commissions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and recruit new clients and intermediaries (cooperatives, MFIs, registered groups and bancassurance partners) while reactivating dormant accounts and expanding CIC’s outreach channels.

    Reconciliation Assistant

    About the Role:

    We are looking for an enthusiastic Reconciliation Assistant who will responsible for ensuring daily receipting, reconciliations, monthly reporting and posting journal.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor Daily Receipts, ensure cash ups are done and banking done on a daily basis
    • Check remittances (RTGS, EFT, IPFs, Mpesa) and facilitate receipting within 24 Hrs
    • Review all daily transaction entries to verify the correctness and completeness of the captured data and advise on required actions;
    • Reconciliation and signoff of intermediary accounts
    • Liaise with internal departments (finance, operations, IT, underwriting and business to resolve reconciliation issues within allowed TAT
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data between internal systems and external parties (e.g. banks, brokers) in a timely manner
    • Maintain accurate records of reconciliation activities and adjustments.
    • Prepare and maintain reconciliation reports and summaries for management review.
    • Escalate unresolved issues and aged reconciling items appropriately.
    • Ensure timely follow-up and clearance of outstanding items in reconciliation
    • Tracing and pursuing long outstanding debtors and where possible issue demand letters and escalate for cancellation

    Who We’re Looking for

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in a related field from a recognized university.
    • 1 year of experience (experience from general insurance or financial services industry is an added advantage).
    • Progress in CPA, ACCA or CCP is an added advantage.

    Key Competencies

    • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
    • High attention to details and data accuracy
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables etc. )
