    College Head

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The Principal will provide strategic academic and institutional leadership across MedPrime Training College, ensuring high-quality, compliant, student-centred and market-relevant training across all campuses. The role will oversee curriculum implementation, trainer performance, student academic success, examinations, accreditation compliance, practical/clinical training and continuous academic quality improvement.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of academic programmes across all campuses.
    • Ensure effective implementation and coverage of approved curricula and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
    • Oversee academic timetabling, trainer allocation, teaching resources and curriculum delivery.
    • Monitor trainer performance, attendance, lesson preparation, workload and professional conduct, and coordinate coaching and development.
    • Oversee competency-based training requirements, including Portfolio of Evidence (PoE), assessment evidence and learner progression.
    • Coordinate examinations and assessments, including examination calendars, internal assessments, marking, moderation, results and examination records.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable TVETA, CDACC, KNEC, NITA, CBET and relevant professional/regulatory bodies and maintain continuous inspection readiness.
    • Monitor student academic performance, attendance, progression, retention and completion, and implement appropriate academic interventions.
    • Oversee practical, clinical and industrial attachment programmes, including student placement, supervision, documentation and industry partnerships.
    • Conduct academic audits, classroom observations and performance reviews and implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Ensure consistency of academic standards, processes and curriculum delivery across all MedPrime campuses.
    • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance management and development of academic staff and future academic leaders.
    • Develop and maintain academic SOPs and ensure accountability throughout academic processes.
    • Provide leadership in student discipline, welfare and resolution of academic concerns.
    • Maintain effective relationships with regulators, examination bodies, professional councils, healthcare facilities, industry partners, students and other stakeholders.
    • Prepare and submit timely academic performance, compliance, examination, student and campus reports to senior management.
    • Use academic data and performance indicators to identify problems, develop solutions and drive continuous improvement.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Health Sciences, Medical/Healthcare-related field or another relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
    • Relevant professional qualifications and a recognized teaching/training qualification where applicable.
    • Demonstrable understanding of TVET and competency-based education and training (CBET).
    • Minimum 2-3 years’ relevant experience in academic/training management.
    • Proven experience supervising trainers/lecturers and managing academic teams.
    • Experience in examinations, assessment, curriculum implementation and review.
    • Experience dealing with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
    • Experience in healthcare education or TVET is strongly preferred.
    • Multicampus academic management experience is an added advantage.

    College Manager

    Medprime Training College is seeking to recruit a competent, experienced and results-oriented College Manager – Finance & Operations to oversee the College’s financial, administrative and operational functions.

    The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounts, knowledge of property and asset management, and proven managerial and leadership experience. The role will primarily oversee the Accounts Department while providing general supervision of staff and College operations as required.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the Accounts Department and ensure effective financial controls and proper financial records.
    • Monitor student fee collection, receipting, banking, expenditure, reconciliations and financial reporting.
    • Monitor budgets, expenditure and accountability of College funds.
    • Provide general administrative and operational oversight of the College.
    • Supervise and coordinate staff, including monitoring attendance, discipline, performance and compliance with College policies.
    • Oversee College property, assets, facilities, maintenance and resource utilization.
    • Support management in implementing policies, procedures and operational decisions.
    • Identify operational challenges and recommend practical solutions.
    • Promote professionalism, teamwork, accountability and efficient service delivery.
    • Prepare administrative, financial and operational reports as required.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Commerce or a related field.
    • CPA (K) or equivalent is an added advantage.
    • At least 3–5 years’ relevant experience in finance/accounts, administration, operations or management.
    • Demonstrated experience in financial oversight, accounts management and staff supervision.
    • Good understanding of property, asset and resource management.

    College Registrar

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The College Registrar will be responsible for the integrity, accuracy, security and efficient management of MedPrime’s student and academic administrative records throughout the student lifecycle—from admission and registration through progression, examinations, completion and certification. The Registrar will provide leadership to the Registry function and ensure consistent, accurate and compliant registry processes across all campuses.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee admissions administration, student registration and onboarding across all campuses.
    • Maintain accurate, complete, secure and up-to-date student and academic records.
    • Supervise Registry, Admissions/Registration and Examination/Records staff and establish clear performance standards.
    • Manage the student management system, including Intellimis, ensuring data accuracy, timely updates and reconciliation with official records.
    • Coordinate student transfers, deferments, withdrawals, readmissions and programme changes in accordance with approved procedures.
    • Coordinate examination registration, candidate lists, examination records and results administration in collaboration with the Principal and Dean.
    • Maintain accurate academic progression records, transcripts and student completion status.
    • Coordinate graduation preparation, student clearance and certification processes, ensuring accuracy of graduation lists, certificates and transcripts.
    • Ensure effective custody, security and confidentiality of student information and academic records.
    • Conduct regular reconciliation of admissions, registration, academic, examination and finance-related student information and resolve discrepancies.
    • Develop and implement Registry SOPs and service standards to improve efficiency, accuracy and student experience.
    • Support regulatory and quality assurance requirements, including preparation of student and academic records for inspections and audits.
    • Prepare accurate weekly and monthly management reports covering applications, admissions, enrollment, progression, examinations, completion, graduation and registry performance.
    • Handle registry-related student concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution of administrative issues.
    • Drive continuous improvement, automation, data accuracy and consistent registry practices across campuses.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education Administration, Business Administration, Management, Records Management, Education, Health Sciences or a relevant field from a recognized institution.
    • Relevant professional or administrative qualification is an added advantage.
    • At least 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
    • Proven experience in student records management, examinations and certification.
    • Experience with student management/information systems; experience with Intellimis is an advantage.
    • Experience in a TVET, college or university environment is strongly preferred.
    • Multi-campus experience is an added advantage.
