    Global Change and Capacity Strengthening Manager – Right First time Project Delivery Review

    The change and capacity building manager role will contribute to this vision by managing a change process designed to rebalance resources, competencies and accountabilities for programme and award management between SC members and country and regional offices.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    Essential

    • Demonstrated experience and capability in change management and supporting the delivery of major projects within a large and complex international organisation.
    • Good experience of designing, managing and facilitating face to face and online training events and workshops, including a range of adult learning methodologies (e.g. simulations, case studies, group work, presentations and distance learning)
    • Strong commitment to, and significant experience in, capacity building and continuous professional development including mentoring/coaching
    • Experience of solving issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in
    • Affinity, knowledge and experience of working within a standardised project/change methodology
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to motivate, influence and negotiate both internally and externally
    • Proven experience delivering high quality communications, products or tools targeting a diverse range of audiences.
    • True passion for results, responsibility and proactivity
    • Ability to work as part of a team within a networked structure, and to maintain good working relationships with colleagues across functional and geographical boundaries
    • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
    • Competent in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    Desirable

    • Experience with Save the Children or other federated INGOs.
    • Cultural awareness and experience of delivering global projects across diverse organisations and in in remote project teams

    Global Foundations Lead

    We are looking for an experienced and passionate professional to support, join up, and grow the global Save the Children community of foundations, and support the global strategy for foundations.

    • Support Save the Children’s global philanthropy and partnerships team and the Head of Impact Giving & Foundation Partnerships to develop and implement the Foundations growth strategy to increase size and ambition of our Foundations portfolio
    • Support the Head of Impact Giving & Foundation Partnerships to prioritise and identify a list of global foundation prospects
    • Nurture a community of practice with Foundation fundraising colleagues from across the movement
    • Support on identifying, developing and promoting best practice in foundations across the Save the Children movement, in order to build internal capacity and increase long-term income.
    • Support on building capacity across our global movement, including building expertise and skills in foundation prospecting, proposition development, pitching and market analysis for new and growth opportunities with foundations to drive increased value and impact at national and global levels.

    In order to be successful you will bring/have:

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    Technical

    • Demonstrated proficiency in successful fundraising with foundations and/or similar strategic partners and experience
    • Established relationships with decision makers at some of the largest, most influential granting organizations and collaborative networks
    • In-depth understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and trends in foundation giving
    • Demonstrated professional verbal and written communication skills in English, specifically the ability to communicate organizational value add in a clear and inspiring manner
    • Confident networking with, and influencing, senior people both internally and externally in order to achieve pre-defined outcomes
    • Ability to think creatively and to develop tailor made proposals to meet corporate and Save the Children objectives
    • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage a varied workload in a pressured and complex environment
    • A demonstrable and sophisticated understanding of the complexities of international development programming partnerships and associated challenges and solutions
    • Strategic thinker – able to influence and bring others on a journey to inspire and deliver new partnerships

    Awards Management and Donor Compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Localisation Initiative

    The Award Management and Donor Compliance (AMDC) SME - Localisation Initiative will sit within the Awards Management and Donor Compliance Transformation team along with a team of subject matter experts (SME) working on a broad range of transformation initiatives across the movement. This role will also be a member of the Localisation Initiative team. Award management is a core business procedure for Save the Children, so this person will play a critical role to look at the cross-cutting aspects of key workstreams in the Localisation Initiative (the Initiative), define the functional workplan in the initiative to support the ambitions in Funding, Compliance, Organisational Model and Culture, to ensure fit-for-purpose alignment with the end-to-end procedures, and system, and are supporting consistent and efficient delivery of locally-led programs. This role will identify opportunities for change in how we work and what we do, to realise our localisation commitments, informing the future strategic direction of the AMDC operating models, accountabilities, procedures, processes and systems as we actively shift power to locally-led organisations.

    The role will lead on understanding and forming implications for our donor compliance management approaches across the organisation and is responsible for deliverables in the donor compliance space, so work in tandem with the Funding Localisation Lead as the lead of the funding workstream in the initiative, and with Partnerships in how this impacts our approach to sub-awards management (grants and contracts).

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    Essential

    • Experience and subject-matter expertise in a manager level awards and/or donor compliance role in the NGO sector in field locations, working with diverse groups in multiple locations
    • Demonstrated understanding and experience of initiative management within the contexts and priority thematic programming areas of Save the Children.
    • Experience in solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward, with a proven ability to forge consensus and buy in, and drive action
    • Excellent business partnering, communication and relationship building skills. Demonstrated ability to develop, influence and manage productive relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, including across SCA member agencies and senior staff
    • A track record of delivering results in a complex organisation, with an ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and internal networks quickly, to gain acceptance across country offices
    • High degree of cultural sensitivity and an appreciation of the varying levels of readiness and engagement across the organisational spectrum
    • Ability to work independently and use initiative, with a constructive approach
    • Attention to detail
    • Team player, with a full appreciation of the value of collaboration
    • Commitment to the mission, vision and values of Save the Children
    • Understanding of roles and responsibilities, processes, tools, reports and systems within Awards Management that could be impacted by the Initiative
