• We are looking for a dynamic operational leader to serve as Tana’s Chief Operating Officer. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in building and managing teams, streamlining processes, and ensuring seamless execution across multiple business functions. You will work closely with the Cofounders to refine strategy and drive operational efficiencies while ensuring the success of our talent at partner organisations.

Responsibilities

• Operational excellence: Establish and refine scalable operational workflows that improve efficiency across all business functions. Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, standardise processes, and ensure the organisation can effectively scale. Continuously assess operational performance through KPIs, adapting strategies as necessary to drive excellence.
• Team leadership: Manage and mentor function leads across Talent Success, Recruitment, Training, and Operations. Set clear goals, provide structured feedback, and create opportunities for professional growth. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, ensuring alignment between teams and overall company objectives.
• Talent lifecycle management: Oversee the entire talent pipeline, from sourcing and recruitment to onboarding, training, and client placement. Ensure that Fellows are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in partner organisations. Develop and refine strategies to maximise talent engagement, performance, and long-term retention.
• Financial & administrative oversight: Partner with the Operations Lead to ensure effective financial management, HR processes, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Monitor and optimise budgets, payroll, and expenditures while maintaining fiscal responsibility and transparency.
• Strategy: Work closely with the Co-founders to develop and execute expansion strategies. Identify new opportunities for growth, implement process improvements, and leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making. 

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in management consulting or a start-up strategy/operations role.

• As Technical Training Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring our talent is well-prepared for success in their client placements and beyond. You will take ownership of Tana’s pre-training function—designing, managing, and delivering high-quality training programs that equip our talent with the necessary technical and professional skills to excel. This role requires a strong technical foundation, instructional design expertise, and hands-on training experience. You will oversee our technical trainers, ensure deep coverage of key technical concepts, and evolve our training programs to meet industry demands.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum design: Develop structured, effective training programs aligned with client pre-training requirements for early-career tech and data roles, including QA Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, and DevOps. Create engaging materials, assessments, and exercises that reinforce key skills while keeping content current with industry standards.
• Training delivery: Independently run pre-training cohorts from onboarding to completion, delivering sessions that build both technical and soft skills. Proactively identify and address learning challenges, troubleshoot issues, and ensure training outcomes align with client expectations, optimising for high fellowship-to-full-time conversion rates.
• Management: Lead and support technical trainers, ensuring they deliver high-quality training while establishing best practices for instruction, mentorship, and learner engagement. Continuously refine training methods to enhance effectiveness and scalability.
• Strategy: Scale and optimise training programs as we grow, expanding offerings to include post-training support, upskilling, and continuous learning pathways. Collaborate with the Talent Success team to ensure smooth transitions and implement feedback loops for improvement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a technical role OR equivalent experience in technical training, curriculum development, or talent development within a tech field.
• Proven ability to manage and develop tech talent, including mentoring, onboarding, and upskilling junior talent, with a strong ability to translate technical concepts into effective learning experiences.
• Strong understanding of early-career talent development, with a focus on both technical and professional skill-building.

• Talent support: Provide ongoing support to talent through regular 1:1s, serving as their primary point of contact for guidance, troubleshooting challenges, and fostering professional growth. Help them navigate workplace dynamics, strengthen professional habits, and build confidence in their roles.
• Performance management: Ensure talent meet and exceed performance expectations by leveraging structured coaching and feedback. Identify and address skill gaps, provide tailored development plans, and support talent in developing both technical and professional competencies.
• Retention: Proactively manage talent engagement and retention by addressing challenges before they escalate. Guide conversations around performance expectations, career progression, and professional development, ensuring talent remains motivated and aligned with their long-term goals. Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in talent development, coaching, or people management, with a strong background in performance coaching and employee retention.
• Proven experience managing people, with the ability to handle complex HR scenarios and support individuals through career challenges. Experience managing technical teams is a plus.

• Operations & Execution: Keep things running efficiently by managing priorities, tracking key deliverables, and coordinating across teams (Talent Success, Training, Recruitment, Operations). You’ll help execute internal projects, ensure smooth handoffs between departments, and step in where needed to remove bottlenecks.
• Meeting Preparation & Follow-Up: Support cofounders by preparing materials for prospect, client, and internal meetings. You’ll document action items, track next steps, and ensure they are executed by the relevant teams.
• Sales & Growth Support: Assist in running and refining sales experiments, tracking key performance metrics, and ensuring the CRM is always up to date with prospect and client interactions. You’ll help research leads, prepare materials for outreach, and coordinate follow-ups to drive business growth.
