    Carpenter

    This position will be responsible for rough and finished carpentry work. The Carpenter may work from blueprints, specifications, drawings, or verbal instructions. The Carpenter should be able to design, build, remodel, maintain, or repair various types of structures and will report to the LCC Project Manager. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

    DUTIES:

    • Planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments. Making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
    • Selecting materials necessary for the work.
    • Prepare and submit detailed reports on carpentry projects for the LCC Project Manager.
    • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
    • Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals.  Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
    • Provide information to these ESH and QA divisions as necessary.
    • Construct, remodel, retrofit, and/ or repair structures made of various materials, some of which may be wood, drywall, plaster, concrete, or brick.
    • Construct, and retrofit cabinets, tables, shelves, benches, partitions, flooring, doors, windows, and other types of furniture. May install and repair modular furniture.
    • May provide oversight of subcontractors, to ensure adherence to the State and Federal Code Requirements.
    • Should be able to provide assessments for: cost, time, and materials for carpentry projects.
    • Will have to perform routine reports of the daily Service Orders and tasks. 
    • Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean-up activities.
    • May train or direct the work of other staff in the area.
    • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

    REQUIRED:

    • Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: 
    • Five (5) years’ experience as a Carpenter.
    • State License or Certification from home state or equivalent combination of verifiable education and experience.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which may require handling multiple tasks, at a given time.
    • Rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    MSC Riding Gang Paint Supervisor

    Job Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary supervisor for Riding Gang paint crews performing preservation, coating, and surface‑prep work aboard MSC vessels.
    • Coordinate daily work assignments, schedules, and task execution for paint teams while vessels are underway or in port.
    • Oversee surface preparation, coating application, corrosion control, and preservation activities in accordance with MSC, Navy, and industry standards.
    • Ensure proper use of paint materials, tools, PPE, and equipment, including sprayers, grinders, sanders, and blasting systems.
    • Inspect completed work for quality, safety, and compliance with technical specifications and coating requirements.
    • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation related to paint operations, material usage, labor hours, and safety compliance.
    • Support onboarding, training, and safety briefings for Riding Gang paint personnel.
    • Coordinate with ship leadership, engineering teams, and Amentum management to align paint activities with vessel maintenance schedules.
    • Ensure all preservation and coating activities comply with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

    Minimum Requirements

    • 3 years of experience in marine painting, preservation, corrosion control, or related maintenance fields.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in coatings, corrosion control, or marine maintenance preferred.
    • Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
    • Passport must be valid for at least one year beyond hire date.
    • Ability to meet and maintain contract medical requirements for the duration of assignment.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

    WTP Operator in Training (OIT)

    Job Responsibilities

    • The WTP Operator‑in‑Training (OIT) supports the operation and maintenance of Water Treatment Plant (WTP) systems in accordance with Navy utility operations standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include assisting certified operators with daily operation, monitoring, and control of water treatment processes to ensure the production of safe, potable water.
    • The OIT performs routine inspections, collects water samples, conducts basic testing, and records operational data under supervision. This role includes learning treatment processes such as filtration, disinfection, chemical dosing, and system monitoring while adhering to established safety and environmental procedures.
    • Additional duties include assisting with preventive maintenance activities, maintaining cleanliness of treatment facilities, responding to alarms or abnormal conditions as directed, and supporting inspections and audits. The WTP Operator‑in‑Training gains hands‑on experience while supporting mission‑critical water utility operations in a remote, mission‑driven environment.

    Minimum Requirements

    • 1–3 years of experience in utilities, water treatment support, industrial operations, or related field
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Basic understanding of water treatment principles, mechanical systems, or utility operations
    • Ability to follow technical instructions, procedures, and safety protocols
    • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, or on‑call schedules as required
    • Must be in possession of a valid Passport and be able to travel internationally.
    • Passport should be valid for a minimum of 1 plus years at the time of hiring.

    MSC Riding Gang Painter / Chipper

    Job Responsibilities

    • Serve as a key member of the Riding Gang team performing preservation, chipping, scraping, sanding, and coating work aboard MSC vessels.
    • Prepare surfaces by removing rust, corrosion, old coatings, and debris using hand tools, pneumatic tools, grinders, and chipping hammers.
    • Assist with coating application, touch‑ups, and preservation tasks in accordance with MSC, Navy, and industry standards.
    • Support corrosion‑control activities, including surface prep, priming, and painting of ship structures, compartments, and equipment.
    • Ensure proper use of paint materials, tools, PPE, and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and readiness of all assigned gear.
    • Follow instructions from supervisors to complete preservation tasks safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards.

    Fuel System Mechanic

    Job Responsibilities:

     

    • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot fuel systems and equipment, including fuel storage tanks, pipelines, fuel pumps, strainers, valves, and filtration systems.
    • Inspect and test fuel systems for leaks, malfunctions, or defects, identifying and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
    • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on fueling systems to ensure optimal operation and compliance with military and government standards.
    • Perform pipefitting, welding, assembly, and disassembly to maintain or repair fuel system components in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
    • Handle, transport, and dispose of fuel and fuel-related waste materials in accordance with environmental and regulatory standards.
    • Use technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to identify, diagnose, and perform repairs on complex fuel systems.
    • Operate specialized tools and equipment, such as pumps, meters, and valves, as well as general mechanical, hydraulic, and plumbing tools.
    • Maintain and enforce safety and hazard control procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
    • Document all work performed, including inspections, repairs, and services, in maintenance reports and logs for compliance tracking purposes.
    • Assist in developing and implementing operational procedures and checklists for inspection and maintenance of fuel components.
    • Support fueling operations by ensuring systems are functioning properly and meeting operational demands.
    • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to address system malfunctions or maintenance needs that may impact operations.
    • Required to comply with all occupational safety and health standards, rules, and orders applicable to their actions and conduct. The role demands consistent, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proactive reporting of workplace hazards, and total adherence to safety protocols to maintain a zero-injury environment.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, and operation of fuel systems and related mechanical components.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training in mechanical systems, fuel operations, or plumbing are strongly preferred.
    • Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing fuel storage, transfer, and distribution systems.
    • Familiarity with fuel system components, including pumps, valves, storage tanks, filtration systems, and associated piping.
    • Knowledge of industry safety standards, including those for handling hazardous and flammable materials.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints for mechanical and fuel systems.
    • Proficiency in using equipment such as pressure gauges, fuel pump systems, and testing devices for system inspections.
    • Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to complete and maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and other documentation as required.

    Water Systems Chemist

    Job Responsibilities

    • The Water Systems Chemist provides technical support for water treatment, water quality monitoring, and chemical analysis in accordance with Navy environmental, public health, and utility operations standards. Responsibilities include sampling, testing, and analyzing potable water, wastewater, and industrial water systems to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and operational requirements.
    • The chemist conducts routine chemical tests, records and evaluates results, and assists with adjusting treatment processes to maintain water quality standards. This role includes operating laboratory equipment, preparing reagents, maintaining testing supplies, and ensuring proper documentation of analytical data.
    • Additional duties include supporting inspections and audits, assisting with troubleshooting water quality issues, maintaining laboratory cleanliness and safety, and coordinating with utility operations personnel to address identified deficiencies. The Water Systems Chemist supports mission‑critical water system reliability and environmental compliance in a remote, mission‑driven environment.

    Minimum Requirements

    • 1–3 years of experience in water treatment, water quality testing, chemistry, or environmental laboratory operations

    • Basic knowledge of water chemistry, sampling methods, and laboratory testing procedures
    • Ability to operate standard laboratory instruments and follow testing protocols
    • Proficiency with recordkeeping, data entry, and report preparation
