    Job Details/Description
    The County Secretary will be the Secretary to the County Executive Committee, and Head of the County Public Service.

    Duties and responsibilities;

    • Be responsible for arranging the business and keeping the minutes of the county Executive Committee
    • Convey the decisions of County Executive Committee to the appropriate person(s) or Authorities
    • Providing strategic policy direction to improve service delivery in the County Public Service.
    • Ensuring efficient management of County resources, coordination and implementation of County Government Policies.
    • Interpreting, disseminating and overseeing implementation of National and County Government policies.
    • Coordinates county state functions.   

    Requirements for Appointment;

    • Be  a  Kenyan Citizen
    • Have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field i.e. Business Management, Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration or relevant Social Sciences from recognized university in Kenya.
    • Be in possession of a Master’s degree in relevant field from a university recognized in Kenya.
    • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
    • Have knowledge, experience and a distinguished carrier of not less than ten (10) years in Senior Administrative and Human Resource Management position in Public Service or Private Sector.
    • Possess Knowledge of organization and functions of Government
    • Have thorough knowledge of the structure ,legislative and regulatory framework of the public service
    • Membership to a professional body.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Administration of County department.
    • Formulation and implementation of programmes to attain vision 2030 and departmental goals.
    • Implementation of policies and regulations.
    • Development and implementation of strategic plans and departmental development plans.
    • Providing strategic policy direction for effective service delivery
    • Ensuring compliance with National Values and Principles of Good Governance Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this position the person should be;
    • A Kenyan Citizen
    • Have a Bachelor’s degree from recognized university in Kenya.
    • Possession of Master’s degree in a revant field will be an added advantage.
    • Must be a member of a professional body relevant to the position applied for and in good standing.
    • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
    • Have vast knowledge and experience of not less than 5 years in the relevant field, five of which should be in a managerial position to the portfolio of the department seeking to be considered for appointment.
    • Be conversant with the Constitution of Kenya and devolution related legislations.
    • Demonstrate thorough understanding of County development plans.
    • Have ability to build a strong team.
    • Must be computer literate.
    • Have the ability to work in multi-cultural and diverse environment.

    Terms of Service :Contract

    Salary : As per SRC
