    Call for Interest (Consultancy) Programme Management and ME Analyst (AATI)

    Duties and responsibilities

    Governance and Coordination

    •  Provide guidance and technical advisory to national agencies supported by the AATI for their annual planning for agricultural transformation initiatives and in the execution of plans
    •  Support cadence of AATI country engagements
    •  Draft terms of reference for AATI advisory board and technical team including identification of relevant members.
    •  Undertake review of AATI country governance and update AATI country support model.
    •  Participate in the establishment and review reporting lines and relationships between AATI Central Unit and AATI country delivery units.
    •  Participate in the identification of new countries for AATI engagement and ensure that relevant diagnostics are conducted.
    •  Prepare regular reports on AATI implementation for the AATI steering committee and for AATI donors.
    •  Prepare agendas and supporting material for meetings of the steering committee and advisory council meetings
    •  Take part in the development, review and execution of AATI annual work plans and budgets.
    •  Develop and finalize Resource Mobilization Plan.

    Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

    •  Prepare AATI results framework and ensure regular reporting against the framework
    •  Conduct a comprehensive review of AATI pilot countries and make recommendations for the reallocation of resources where needed.
    •  Document lessons learned from AATI engagements with countries and lessons drawn from the establishment of country delivery units.
    •  Support the implementation of the reporting framework including financial reporting to donors.
    •  Draft the AATI annual report on achievements and utilization of resources.
    •  Act as the main focal point for all elements relevant to the execution of the Budget and the workplan.

    Requirements Education:

    •  Advanced university degree in agriculture, rural development, development economics or related fields. The advanced university degree may be substituted by a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) plus at least four additional years of relevant professional experience, over and above the minimum number of years of experience as stipulated below.

    Experience:

    •  At least 5 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, programme management or related field.

    Skills:

    •  Project/programme management- design, implementing, monitoring and evaluation
    •  Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with different stakeholders
    •  Teamwork
    •  Fluency in ICT

    Language:

    •  Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French.

    Call for interest (Consultancy) Communications and Partner Engagement Analyst (AATI)

    Duties and responsibilities

    Communications

    •  Develop and finalize AATI communications strategy and guidelines and ensure periodic updates;
    •  Develop visual and multimedia products based on AATI work and priorities;
    •  Create and deliver communication products including written, audio, photographic, film and other material as appropriate;
    •  Identify opportunities to develop visually appealing stories highlighting AATI’s work and relevant achievements;
    •  Act as AATI’s focal point for the development and clearance of visual and multimedia products with the initiative’s founding partners;
    •  Guide the production of multimedia material with AATI central team, partners and external consultants;
    •  Maintain guidelines on AATI branding and visual identity, including AATI’s Brand Identity Manual;
    •  Maintain content on the AATI’s website and other online presences;
    •  Propose improvements to the user experience on AATI’s website (design and structure of the pages, use of visual material, etc.);
    •  Responsible for the day to day management of AATI’s social media platforms;
    •  Identify opportunities for AATI engagement at regional/international events & conferences and develop relevant communications outputs.
    •  Propose new ways to engage target audiences based new trends in multimedia.

    Partnership Engagement

    •  Develop and finalize AATI partnership engagement strategy and guidelines and ensure periodic updates;
    •  Develop and maintain a landscape mapping of Africa agriculture stakeholders;
    •  Develop and maintain a list of potential partners for outreach and identify relevant contact points;
    •  Provide inputs to outreach/publicity material geared towards partners and donors;
    •  Assess external opportunities for resource mobilization and identification and mapping of current and potential donors;
    •  Organize resource mobilization events in support of the AATI
    •  Organize partnership engagement events
    •  Conduct post event follow ups with partners and or donors

    Other Duties

    •  Perform other related duties as requested by Deputy ED and/or ED.

    Requirements

    Education:

    •  Advanced university degree from an accredited institution in journalism, communications or social sciences. The advanced university degree may be substituted by a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) plus at least four additional years of relevant professional experience, over and above the minimum number of years of experience as stipulated below.

    Experience:

    •  Minimum of five years of relevant experience in highly disciplined and demanding communication environments, with experience in the media and public information and communications is required. Experience in donor and/or partnership engagement is required.

    Skills:

    •  News-writing, headline-writing, re-writing and editing skills
    •  Proven social media skills
    •  Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with different stakeholders
    •  Ability to engage in partnership building events
    •  Teamwork
    •  Fluency in ICT

    Language

    •  Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French.

    Call for Interest (Consultancy) Capacity Building and Learning Analyst (AATI)

    Duties and responsibilities

    1. Identification and Development of Delivery Tools

    •  Develop approach for diagnosing countries’ demand for delivery tools relevant for AATI’s work
    •  Conduct analysis or mapping of existing delivery tools within countries identified for potential engagement by AATI and identify where there might be a need to develop new tools
    •  Coordinate the deployment of delivery tools from other partners where necessary
    •  Prepare and deploy case studies and best practice guides on AATI country delivery units
    •  Establish a repository of delivery tools being deployed in countries and ensure that the repository is constantly updated based on feedback from countries.

    2. Capacity Building

    •  Perform diagnostics to determine the demand for learning support from pilot countries
    •  Identify options for capacity development including identification of potential partners who can support in capacity building and develop relationships with capacity building providers where necessary
    •  Develop knowledge management framework including potential experts, partners, and delivery models
    •  Develop and implement a dissemination plan of AATI knowledge and learning resources through appropriate platforms
    •  Identify, test and review multiple learning approaches that AATI can utilize in the achievement of its goals
    •  Facilitate the launch of AATI’s learning and training programme and ensure that activities are regularly implemented in relevant countries.

    Requirements

    Education:

    •  Advanced university degree in agriculture, rural development, development economics or related fields. The advanced university degree may be substituted by a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) plus at least four additional years of relevant professional experience, over and above the minimum number of years of experience as stipulated below.

    Experience:

    •  At least 5 years of professional experience within international institutions in capacity development, knowledge management and related fields.

    Skills:

    •  Knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts and approaches relevant to the identification and development of delivery tools related to agricultural transformation.
    •  Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
    •  Teamwork.
    •  Fluency in ICT.

    Languages:
