    Credit Analyst

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prescreening loan proposal and ensuring that noted gaps are addressed proactively
    • Analyzing all credit proposals and making recommendation of quality assets to enable the next line of authority to make an informed decision
    • Ensuring that all credit proposals emanating from the Business Development team adhere to the laid down procedures, policies and Prudential guidelines and that any policy breaches are properly authorized at the correct approval level
    • Ensuring Compliance to workflow processes for efficiency and TAT actualization.
    • To ensure that credit appraisals and all documentation are properly collected, processed, and filed as required.
    • Monitoring the loan portfolio quality on regular basis and preparing accurate credit risk reports to address corrective, preventive, mitigation and enforcement actions to immediate supervisor.
    • Liaising with service providers and custodian of requisite registers and files.

    Qualifications Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, statistics, business studies, management finance, mathematics, accounting economics or any other relevant field –
    • Professional accounting/banking accreditation e.g Credit management for MFIs, CFA, ACCA or CPA will be an added advantage
    • Computer proficiency.
    • Prior experience an advantage but NOT a requirement.

    Credit Relationship Officer

    Job Summary

    Responsible for delivering excellent business performance through aggressive marketing of company products ensuring optimum productivity, high quality / yielding loan book, operational efficiency and outstanding relationship management

    Key Responsibilities

    • Business sales relationship and growth of savings and Loan security Fund
    • Conduct loan appraisals for customer applications and recommend disbursements to management.
    • Effective monitoring of loan repayments and mitigating risks related to defaults and maintaining PAR at set standard
    • Reduction of operating costs and ensure prudent utilization of resources
    • Grow active customers in line with the business plan/projection by aggressively marketing financial products in line with the given targets.
    • Keep abreast of new development in customer preference and advices management on relevant changes.
    • Manage customer relations under personal portfolio and ensure lasting relations are established with all clients.
    • Ensure that all conditions pertaining to disbursements are fulfilled prior to disbursement requests being processed.
    • Ensure compliance and  adherence to set policies & procedures in all operations
    • Ensuring compliance of KYC policies especially during the account opening procedure.
    • Being a good team player and working together with other departmental staff.
    • Generate and present Actual vs. Projections report for information  & decision making by management

    Knowledge & Skills Required

    • Bachelors’ degree in accounting, finance, banking, business, or a similar field.
    • Strong communication skills and customer service experience.
    • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to work with complicated financial data.
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
    • Strong ethical behavior and the ability to work with sensitive financial information.
    • Basic computer skills and a quick learner
    • Credit Operations & SME evaluations experiences from a bank or Fintech environment an added advantage
    • Proficiency in excel skills or working with spreadsheets
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and self-drive toward targets while ensuring quality output and prioritization.

    Accounts Assistant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Book keeping.
    • Accounts management and reconciliations.
    • Budgetary and inventory control.
    • Preparing financial projections.
    • Custodian of the asset register and other financial related registers.
    • Extract system generated reports for checks and analysis.
    • Co-ordinate the external audit assignment.
    • Conduct continuous appraisal of internal control systems.
    • Compliance with internal and external requirements.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Related Field.
    • KCSE mean grade of C+

    Agri-Business Finance Specialist

    Purpose of the Job

    To get involved in developing agricultural related product offering, create awareness, marketing and convert prospects while retaining leadership and oversight of all agricultural value chain initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities;

    • Develop an agribusiness lending strategy and effectively translate it into business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing functional strategies.
    • Identify agricultural related customer needs & opportunities through extensive market research and intelligence.
    • Provide inputs and market demand insights to the product development team
    • Develop and share knowledge with staffs on agri-business lending.
    • Create strategic partnerships necessary for business growth
    • Undertake the necessary actions in order to maximize agri-product penetration and cross selling.
    • Identify priority areas for investment and plan market interventions where KKVL can have highest impact;
    • Guiding service providers on the identification, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of value chain support activities, including the promotion of entrepreneurial skills in farmers’ organizations.
    • Ensuring timely reports presentations.

    The accountability areas are as follows;

    • Development of Agribusiness financing models.
    • Identification of possible funding for Agribusiness.
    • Training Agribusiness customers.
    • Attaining of a low risk high impact diversified portfolio mix.

    Knowledge and skills required.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development or any other relevant/equivalent field from a recognized institution;
    • Three (3) years working experience in a similar position in a Bank, Microfinance.
    • Demonstrated experience in facilitating value chain development, value chain analysis and in building capacity of value chain actors;
    • Knowledge of technologies and issues for value chain development, business development, and rural livelihoods;
