    Senior ICT Officer

    Requirements for Appointment:

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • A Degree in any of the following fields, Computer Science/Information Communication Technology or in Electronics/Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
    • A minimum period of five (5) years relevant work
    • Proficiency in computer applications
    • Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks
    • Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter (6) Six of the Constitution

    Duties and Responsibilities at this level will entail:

    • Carrying out systems analysis, design and programme specifications in liaison with users
    • Developing, implementing and maintaining of systems
    • Ensuring adherence to established ICT standards
    • Supervising and compiling overall systems documentation: and advising on ICT related issues
    • Supervising installation certification, repairs and maintenance of ICT equipment and associated peripherals
    • Developing and maintaining ICT standards
    • Recommending and supervising Hardware /Software specifications for Information Communication Technology equipment
    • Logging problems and bugs
    • Drawing and scheduling preventive maintenance
    • Assisting in feasibility studies as assigned.
    • In addition, the officer will train officers working below him/her and any other duties which will be allocated to him or her by his/her superiors.

    Principal Internal Auditor

    Requirements for Appointment:

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree from any of the Kenyan Universities or other recognized University/Institution, majoring in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science etc.
    • A minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience three of which should have been at the level of senior officer.
    • Master Degree in the above disciplines
    • Professional qualification and membership to a professional body where applicable
    • Proficiency in computer applications
    • Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
    • Be in possession of CPAK Examination or its equivalent
    • Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter (6) Six of the Constitution

    Duties and Responsibilities at this level will entail:

    Responsible for the overall audit operation and supervision of audit programmes for the Agency including the correctness and accuracy of accounts, fact and figures in the reports submitted to the Agency for certification or signature.

    The Principal Auditor will monitor and constantly review audit programmes at the Agency and ensure that Audit programmes guides and techniques are regularly updated.

    The officer will be also responsible for supervision of staff under him/her and for maintenance of high auditing standards in Audit at the Agency.

    Senior Corporate Communications Officer

    Requirements for Appointment: –

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Mass Communication, Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Social Sciences or any other approved equivalent qualifications from a recognized University/Institution.
    • Possess good oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
    • A minimum period of five (5) years relevant work
    • Proficiency in Computer application
    • Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks
    • Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter (6) Six of the Constitution

    Duties and Responsibilities at this level will entail:

    • Gathering information on programmes and significant events in a specific sectoral area and the impact on customers, and forwarding the same to his superiors for dissemination
    • Assisting in the development of communications and media strategy
    • Editing stories on various topical issue before they are released to the public and liaising with media practitioners and the public or issues of mutual concern.
    • Scheduling interviews with Government officials
    • Managing assigned projects/programmes
    • Organising events under the guidance of the institution

    Senior Planning Officer

    Requirements for Appointment:

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • A Degree in any of the following fields, a minimum of an Upper Second Class Honours degree in Economics, or Economics and Mathematics, or Economics and Statistics or a Postgraduate Diploma or Masters Degree in subjects enumerated in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics
    • A minimum period of five (5) years relevant work
    • Proficiency in computer application
    • Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks
    • Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter (6) Six of the Constitution

    Duties and Responsibilities at this level will entail:

    Work at this level will involve responsibility for a broad area of planning, economic/statistical activities which may include supervision, assisting in the formulation of economic and statistical policies; initiation, implementation and appraisal of development strategies and projects and performing the role of planning at the Agency.

    Driver

    Requirements for Appointment: –

    For appointment to this grade an officer must:

    • Must have KCSE mean grade D plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognised Institution;
    • Have valid driving licence free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the officer is required to drive;
    • Have passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade 1 from the Department for Roads and Public Works;
    • Have First-Aid certificate course lasting not less than one week from St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building technology (KIHBT) or any other recognised institution;
    • Have valid certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police;
    • Fulfil the requirements for Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

    Duties and Responsibilities at this level will entail:

    Driving a vehicle as authorised, carrying out routine checks on the vehicles cooling oil, electrical and brake systems tyre pressure etc. detecting malfunctioning of vehicles system; maintenance of work tickets for vehicles assigned; ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road; overseeing safety of the passengers and/or goods therein; and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.

    Senior Driver

    Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade an officer must:

    • Have KCSE mean grade D plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
    • Have a minimum period of three (3) years relevant work experience;
    • Have valid driving licence free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the officer is required to drive;
    • Have Defensive driving certificate from Automobile association(AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification form a recognised Institution;
    • Have passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade 1
    • Have First-Aid certificate course lasting not less than one week from St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building technology(KIHBT) or any other recognised institution;
    • Have valid certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police;
    • Have demonstrated integrity and professional competence as reflected in work performance and results
    • Fulfil the requirements for Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

    Duties and Responsibilities at this level will entail:

    This is the highest grade for this cadre.  Duties and responsibilities at this level entail; Driving a vehicle as authorised, carrying out routine checks on the vehicles cooling oil electrical and brake systems tyre pressure etc. detecting malfunctioning of vehicles system; maintenance of work tickets for vehicles assigned; ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road; overseeing safety of the passengers and/or goods therein; and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.

    Accounts Assistant

    Requirements for Appointment: –

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • Diploma in Accounting
    • Proficiency in computer applications
    • Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter (6) Six of the Constitution or a pass in part II of the Certified Public Accounts(CPA) Examination or its equivalent qualification.

    Duties and Responsibilities at this level will entail:

    Preparation and verification of vouchers in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations involving primary data entry and routine accounting work such as balancing of cashbooks, imprest and advances ledgers etc. He/She will be responsible for safe custody of records and assets under him/her and any other duties which will be allocated to him/her by his/her supervisors.

    Supply Chain Management Officer

    Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields, Commerce, Business Administration (Supply Management) option, Economics, Procurement and Supplies Management, Marketing or the equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Proficiency in computer application
    • Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter (6) Six of the Constitution

    Duties and Responsibilities at this level will entail:

    • Processing of agenda for the tender committees and assisting in implementation of decision thereof.
    • Prepare and update store ledgers and all store documents
    • Opening of tenders/quotations
    • Undertake technical evaluation/quotation analysis
    • Issuance of goods from store to user divisions
    • Serve as a secretary to both opening and technical committees
    • Prepare stock reports/ reconciliations and submit to relevant users
    • To prepare good received note/documents and pass to the Accountant for payment
    • Undertake any other professional duties assigned by the supervisor
