    Nurse

    We are lookng for nurses who shall be responsible to the immediate supervisor/ HOD for implementation of nursing services in the Hospital. He/she must be good in:

    • Customer care
    • Housekeeping
    • Patient care
    • Promote HMIS implementation

    What You Will Do

    • Professionally, humbly listen to stranded clients and offer assistance where necessary or personally escort client to the relevant office for assistance
    • Facilitate and implement housekeeping duties that include general cleanliness, supply of clean well ironed beddings, uniform and provision of nets. He/She shall regularly inspect areas within their department to ensure highest standards of cleanliness are maintained.
    • Facilitate and implement bed and room preparation before a patient is admitted within shortest time possible
    • Coordinate, facilitate and implement treatment and monitoring protocols in a timely manner to ensure accurate and prompt patient care is offered as per physician direction
    • To offer solutions to problems within the department in collaboration with your supervisor
    • Supervision, task and subtask allocation to Subordinate staffs under your department
    • Facilitate and link patients/relatives to the primary Medical Officer who require more information on treatment progress.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a registered nurse
    • Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
    • BSc or other diploma from a nursing program
    • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
    • Valid nursing license

    Clinical Officer

    What You Will Do

    • Ensure appropriate and timely care is accorded to the patient via various departments i.e. Radiology, Laboratory, Theatre, Nursing care and treatment implementation by coordinating and facilitating activities
    • Ensure continuity of care by implementing proper focused handing over protocols to the next shift staff
    • Perform medical procedures according to scope of practise
    • Discharge clients and ensure appropriate follow-up is scheduled
    • Ensure client privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times while interacting with the patient
    • Immediately seek senior consult from a medical officer appropritely and avail basic investigation results prior to consult
    • Promptly clerk (including past medical history), investigate and diagnose clients according to standard evidence based management and avail the same in the patient file prior to admission or release of an outpatient client. Investigations done prior to visiting the facility MUST be copied and inserted in the file and or uploaded to the HMIS In easy to understand language explain clerkship findings, investigation results, diagnosis, appointments and plan of management to clients to their satisfaction

    Qualifications

    • Education: A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Clinical Medicine and Community Health.
    • Licensing & Registration: Must be registered and licensed by the Clinical Officers' Council (COC) of Kenya.
    • Internship: Successful completion of a one-year mandatory internship program.
    • Academic Background: A minimum of KCSE Mean Grade C

    Support Staff

    What You Will Do

    • Professionally, humbly listen to stranded clients and offer assistance where necessary or personally escort client to the relevant office for assistance
    • Cleans, sanitizes & maintains all dishes, food delivery trolley, equipment, work areas, & food stations and any other facilities pertaining to food preparation.
    • Collect cleaned and dried up linen, sort, press and pack according to its source and type, from different wards and units in the hospital
    • Liaise with the H.O.D on any torn linen that needs attention as well as informing him/her of the department's detergent requirements.
    • Sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming hospital rooms and compounds.
    • Dusting office furniture, wards and cleaning windows.
    • Scrubbing the ramp, and corridors.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
    • Understanding of basic infection control practices
    • Able to promote a healthy, safe environment
    • Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment
    • KCSE certificate

    Laboratory Technologist

    What You Will Do

    • The employee shall be responsible to the immediate supervisor/ HOD for implementation of laboratory technician services in the Hospital.
    • Professionally, humbly and cordially listen to stranded clients and offer assistance where necessary or personally escort client to the relevant office for assistance
    • Promptly identify, clerk (including past medical history), determine relevance of investigation to diagnose clients and communicate immediately to requesting clinician/medical team in case of disparity.
    • Coordinate and facilitate investigations requested to be done promptly and avail results in the files according to the service charter
    • Receive, label and analyse samples
    • Investigations done prior to visiting the facility MUST be copied and inserted in the file and or uploaded to the HMIS.
    • Schedule and follow-up appointments for investigations requiring client preparation
    • For out-sourced services, coordinate and facilitate client preparation, booking and transfer client or sample to the facility with out-sourced service and avail results in file and HMIS
    • Ensure continuity of care by implementing proper focused handing over protocols to the next shift staff
    • Perform laboratory investigations and procedures according to scope of practise
    • Ensure client privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times while interacting with the patient
    • Immediately seek medical officer interpretation for basic investigations and send to a specialist laboratory for a specialist report when required.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science
    • Registration & Licensure: Must be registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
    • Experience: Often requires 2-3 years of post-registration experience in a clinical or research laboratory.
    • Certification: Specialized certifications, such as phlebotomy training or knowledge of ISO 15189 standards, are highly regarded.

    Medical Officer

    The employee shall be responsible to the immediate supervisor/ HOD for implementation of medical officer services in the Hospital.Leadership: O versee and offer leadership to Clinical officers assigned to you from day to day

    What You Will Do

    • Professionally, humbly and cordially listen to stranded clients and offer assistance where necessary or personally escort client to the relevant office for assistance
    • Promptly prepare referral forms for clients for services not available after consultations with the hospital manager.
    • Promptly prepare to receive and review all referrals and inform all relevant departments as required.
    • Promptly respond to emergency calls for outpatient, inpatient and observation patients at the request of medical, clinical or nursing staff or any other staff as required.
    • Ensure departmental emergency care preparedness according to departments assigned
    • Maintain and oversee proper medical record with respect to all patients examined or treated in accordance with all legal, accreditation, regulatory and third party payer requirements.
    • Promptly clerk (including past medical history), investigate and diagnose clients according to standard evidence based management and avail the same in the patient file prior to admission or release of an outpatient client. Investigations done prior to visiting the facility MUST be copied and inserted in the file and or uploaded to the HMIS.

    Qualifications

    • Education: A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB/MBChB) degree from a recognized university.
    • Registration/License: Active registration and a valid practicing license from the relevant national medical board ( KMPDC).
    • Certification: Training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required or preferred.
    • Skills: Strong diagnostic, communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills
