    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Sociology, Systems Thinking, or other related Social Sciences.
    • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in mapping and assessing systems related to Seeds, Sustainable Farming, Inclusive Markets & Trade, Policy & State Capability, and Youth Employment.
    • Demonstrated expertise in outcome mapping, as well as in the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative evaluations.
    • Strong scientific publication record, including journal articles, conference papers, or book chapters, focused on systems mapping and qualitative or mixed-methods evaluations.
    • Practical knowledge of market systems development (MSD) approaches, value chain analysis, and inclusive agribusiness models in Africa.
    • Experience in multi-country research work in Agriculture, Agribusiness, and related fields.

    Knowledge Systems and Learning Expert

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Agricultural Economics, Social Sciences, or Knowledge Systems.
    • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in developing and implementing knowledge management strategies in the agricultural sector.
    • Demonstrated expertise in harvesting, synthesizing, and documenting knowledge in the agriculture sector, particularly through value chain approaches and multi- stakeholder interventions.

    Team Leader (Monitoring and Evaluation Expert)

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or other related Social Sciences.
    • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in designing and leading Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems, policy frameworks, Theory of Change, evaluation design, and implementation in international agricultural development programs. Demonstrated experience in leading strategic and large-scale evaluations for regional and continental agricultural development programs in Africa, preferably those implemented by international organizations.
    • Proven experience in applying Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks from leading organizations, including the Gates Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, BMZ/KfW, FCDO, and Mastercard Foundation.
    • Experience in multi-country research work in Agriculture, Agribusiness, and related fields.

    Impact Studies Expert

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or Statistics.
    • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in designing and conducting rigorous mixed-methods impact evaluations in the agricultural sector. •Extensive hands-on experience in data management, cleaning, and statistical analysis using advanced tools such as STATA, SPSS, NLOGIT, and other relevant software.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
    • Demonstrated scientific publication record, including journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters, with a focus on impact evaluation and socio-economic studies in the sub-Saharan African agricultural sector.
    • Experience in multi-country research work in Agriculture, Agribusiness, and related fields will be an added advantage).
    • Experience in environmental impact assessment and evaluation is desirable.
