    Grants Manager

    Functional Competencies & Experience

    1. 3 to 5 years of International NGOs field experience in a similar position: grants management, proposal development (program narratives and budgets), and donor reporting.
    2. Knowledge of International donor regulations, procedures, and requirements.
    3. Proven ability to develop winning proposals to public- and private-sector donors.
    4. Ability to work with tight deadlines for report writing/ information needs.
    5. Excellent written and spoken English essential.
    6. Excellent organizational skills, ability to determine and juggle multiple priorities, and attention to detail is critical.
    7. Ability to work in a multicultural context as a flexible and respectful team player, patience, cultural sensitivity, and application of contextual understanding in day-to-day work is required.
    8. Willingness to travel to the field sites as needed.
    9. High-level of knowledge and practice with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. required.
    10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    11. Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and teams effectively.
    12. Understanding of best practices and methods to achieve revenue goals, overall grant-based donor strategies, and effective communication of the mission.
    13. Knowledge of the basic concepts related to fundraising and grant management.
    14. Excellent initiative and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    15. Ability to respond quickly and effectively to the needs of the program team, partners, donors, stakeholders, and other groups.
    16. Ability to collaborate with diverse teams of staff, interns, volunteers, and stakeholders.
    17. Detail-oriented, with strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
    18. Ability to represent Power Learn Project in grant meetings professionally and in good light.

    Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Manager

    Functional Competencies

    1. Excellent knowledge on MEL systems.
    2. Excellent ability to think both strategically and operationally around the introduction and implementation of appropriate methodologies, tools, processes, and strategies.
    3. Strong report writing skills.
    4. Strong experience in research and data collection.
    5. Understanding of implementation of new systems relating to MEL.
    6. Excellent networking skills and ability to generate interest and engage an audience.
    7. Strong understanding of international development issues.
    8. Strong ICT skills, especially in using database software; proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
    9. Ability to work in a multicultural context as a flexible and respectful team player, patience, cultural sensitivity, and application of contextual understanding in day-to-day work is required.
    10. Willingness to travel to the field sites as needed.

    Skills and Personal Qualifications

    1. Excellent knowledge on MEL systems.
    2. Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
    3. Excellent project management skills with ability to lead and projects from initiation to completion.
    4. Self-starter with an ability to work autonomously to identify and serve the needs or the program with minimal supervision.
    5. Ability to organise and complete multiple tasks by establishing priorities while taking into consideration special assignments, frequent interruptions, deadlines, available resources, and multiple reporting relationships.
    6. Strong attention to detail.
    7. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish, build and maintain effective working relationships and affect behavior/attitudinal change with network staff and suppliers, across cultures and different working environments.
    8. Ability to consistently approach work with energy, a positive, constructive attitude, and self-drive.
    9. Creative, innovative thinker with demonstrated openness to change and ability to manage complexities.

    Experience

    1. 5 years experience within a similar position or with demonstrable leadership experience in the design and implementation of MEL/MIS in development projects implemented by national/international NGOs/governments.
    2. Strong experience of learning and developing evidence for policy and advocacy.
    3. Experience in managing or conducting project evaluations, preferably within a development setting.
    4. Preferably experience with tech and social start-up-based projects with various lenses including gender, youth and socio-economic.
    5. Strong experience in analyzing data and using statistical software.
    6. Experience in public speaking.
