    Food and Beverage Supervisor-MICE

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Always maintain a prominent level of visibility and supervisory involvement in the food and beverage outlets
    • Ensure that all team members are trained to carry out effective, professional service and to deliver a warm welcome.
    • Ensuring high standards are set and continue to be observed
    • Responsible for inquiries, complaints and any problems that may arise whilst on duty and to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner and communicated to senior management.
    • Assist the Food and Beverage Manager, overseeing rosters and ensuring cost effective measures are always adhered to
    • Managing the Restaurant Reservation Book and attending weekly function meetings.
    • Ensure that a sales culture is created by actively encouraging up selling
    • To ensure cleanliness levels are maintained to a high standard in all F&B areas
    • To keep up to date with competitors and local businesses.
    • Liaise and maintain a relationship with other departments to ensure the effective, efficient and smooth running of events.
    • Assist in promotional and marketing activities as required.
    • Adhere to Health & Safety Procedures and other Company Policies and Procedures.
    • Any other duties relevant to your skills that may be assigned to you by the Company.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Excellent leadership and delegation skills required.
    • Must be a self-starter, with good communication skills.
    • Available to work early and late shifts both midweek and weekend
    • Must have a minimum of 2 years hotel food & beverage at supervisory level

    Bar Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the daily operations of all bar outlets within the resort
    • Lead, train, and motivate bartenders and bar supervisors to 5-Star service standards
    • Develop creative cocktail menus and oversee premium beverage offerings
    • Ensure exceptional guest experiences through personalized and attentive service
    • Manage inventory, ordering, cost control, and supplier relationships
    • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
    • Monitor budgets, sales performance, and profitability
    • Collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage and Events teams

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Bar Manager or senior bar role within a luxury hotel or 5-Star resort
    • Degree or diploma in any hospitality related courses
    • Experience Length: 2 Years
    • Strong leadership and people-management skills
    • Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, cocktails, and current industry trends
    • Exceptional guest service and communication skills
    • Experience with stock control, budgeting, and reporting
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-end hospitality environment
    • Professional appearance and a passion for luxury service

    Host/Hostess

    We are seeking a friendly and professional Hostess to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience.

    • Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner
    • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
    • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
    • Maintain an organized and clean reception area
    • Coordinate with wait staff to ensure smooth service flow
    • Handle customer inquiries and special requests promptly
    • Assist in maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the restaurant
    • Manage waiting lists during peak hours
    • Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff
    • Promote special offers or menu items as directed by management
    • Handle cash and credit card transactions when required

    Key Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
    • Fluency in English; knowledge of Swahili or other local languages is a plus
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent customer service orientation
    • Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and dining etiquette
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency in handling reservations systems and point-of-sale software
    • Well-groomed appearance and a positive attitude
    • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
    • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
    • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
