    Marketing Assistant -Hospitality

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Assistant to support our Marketing Manager in the execution and measurement of seasonal multi-channel marketing plans and campaigns. As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a key role in our marketing team, contributing to various aspects of marketing, graphic design, content creation, and digital strategy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To assist the Marketing Manager with the delivery and measurement of seasonal multi-channel marketing plans and campaign
    • Graphic design skills
    • To produce internal and external promotional materials such as menus, brochures, online artwork and social media graphics. 
    • To work closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver the annual social media strategy across a wide range of platforms including Facebook, Linked In and Instagram. 
    • To keep the online blogs of both hotels up to date with the latest news, offers and seasonal content. 
    • Creative content writing within the brand tone of voice, with an awareness of SEO techniques to improve the overall effectiveness of new content added to the websites. 
    • To design, send and track e-newsletters
    • To work with our digital agency to assist the Marketing Manager in the delivery of our digital strategy across PPC, SEO, content marketing and e-newsletters. 
    • To assist the Marketing Manager in working with our digital agency to implement website developments. 
    • To liaise with Head of Departments across both hotels to ascertain their marketing requirements and fulfill their requests once agreed by the Marketing Manager. 
    • To assist with photo shoots and video projects completed at both hotels. 
    • To liaise with external marketing agencies when required to assist with projects. 
    • To undertake regular research into new marketing or revenue techniques and technology as guided by the Marketing Manager. 
    • To undertake basic marketing tasks such as proof-reading, updating menus within a template, inputting information and day to day printing of internal marketing materials. 
    • To attend marketing meetings with internal departments and external clients when appropriate. 
    • To carry out all other duties reasonably requested by the Marketing Manager

    Requirements

    • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communication or a related field is a strong advantage
    • 4 - 6 year Proven experience as a marketing assistant
    • Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
    • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
    • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
    • Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases

    Senior Agronomist

    Job Summary:

    • Our client is a long established Agri business dealing in Horticultural Export of Vegetables and Flowers in
    • Kenya. They run farms and pack houses across the country and have clients across the globe, including Europe and the Middle East.
    • They are looking for a talented and driven individual to join as a Senior Agronomist for the Vegetable division.
    • This is a critical role for the business as we continue to scale at pace. You’ll be working alongside our Chief Executive and Operations Manager to help move the business forward.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • PRODUCTION STRATEGY: The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a growing strategy per product line aligned to customer demand. They must be strategic with the ability to think through the potential opportunities and risks to the growing strategy and be able to share this with senior management for potential solutions.
    • FARMER MANAGEMENT: Recruit and maintain out growers’ farmers that are capable to consistently produce high quality and safe crops to meet the regional targets. Ensure that the recruited farmers are well inducted and trained in good agronomic practices and the company policies and procedures. Offer timely and consistent agricultural extension services to the farmers. Handle farmers complain and liaise with the relevant office to address the complaint.
    • FARMER ADVISORY: Advise the company on the best seed variety in your region. To do this, regularly carry out seeds’ trials in your region. Scout for pests and diseases and make recommendations of the pesticide to use in-line with the company pesticide usage policy.
    • HARVEST MANAGEMENT: Develop harvesting program in close consultation with the Agronomy Coordinator. Supervise post-harvest processes up to the time the harvested crop is loaded into the truck and ensure that the produce integrity and traceability is maintained.
    • RECORD MANAGEMENT: Ensure farmers maintain updated records on production and crop management in line with good agricultural practices. Timely submit your weekly field monitoring and performance reports to the Operations Manager. Act as the custodian of all company records and documents in the assigned region.

    Requirements

    • A Minimum Diploma in agricultural related field.
    • 6-7 years’ experience working including working with Out growers.
    • Previous experience working with an exporter company is an added advantage.
    • Demonstrable agronomic skills in growing fruits and vegetables.
    • A preference for experience in growing sugar snaps and snow peas.

    Other Competences:

    • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
    • Dedicated and highly motivated professional, with a strong spirit for teamwork and sense of initiative.
    • Abilities to train farmers and peers and disseminate good agricultural practices and adoption thereof with emphasis on environmental sound practice.

    Assistant Accountant-Tally

    Job Purpose Statement:

    The Accountant is responsible for ensuring that all client funding transactions are reconciled and attributed to the correct funding accounts. The role will communicate reconciled information to other members of the payroll department to ensure accurate accounting for tax payments and associated refunds/payments needed out of our payroll systems. This role will ensure that they are current on all system and procedural changes to assist the customer better and the payroll department in balancing their account monthly.

    Responsibilities 

    • Manage accounting software and implement new features and updates.
    • Calculate all appropriate adjustments, deductions and credits working with customers.
    • Check data input and verify totals on forms prepared to ensure correct tax form completion.
    • Communicate payment information to internal departments as needed (accounting, tax and payroll).
    • Reconcile payments and funding from client accounts.
    • Setup and process General Ledger (GL) entries for clients.
    • Audit prior months data for debit and credit information processed after payroll processed.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred. 
    • 5 years of accounting experience.
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
    • Experience in a multi-client environment is highly preferred.
    • Experience with Tally and related software tools.
    • Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications.
    • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills.
    • Growth driven and is a team mindset individual.
    • Analytical skills with particular attention to detail.

    Management Accountant

    Job Purpose:

    To ensure timely and accurate reporting and recording of financial records for proper decision making and the management of company’s accounts payables as guided by relevant standards, policies, and contractual obligations and to negotiate favorable terms that will drive affordability of the company’s offering and delivery of customer centered services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Reporting: Warrant the availability of timely and accurate financial reports for decision-making by seeing to it that all transactions are captured and posted appropriately, all journals are maintained, and reconciling transactions posted on time for monthly and year-end accounts closure. This includes, weekly income statement for both veg and flowers. Provision of weekly vegetable and flower reports.
    • Reconciliation: Drive consistency of information across different company platforms and system by leading regular reconciliations of bank accounts, cash, M. PESA, Credit card transactions and resolution of discrepancies through Monthly creditors and debtor’s reconciliation and Bank reconciliation flower accounts.
    • Cash flow management: Contribute to sustainable company operations by preparing and maintaining cash flow forecasts and cash flow reports and advising the Chief Accountant and accounts receivables and payables team appropriately. This will support the management of weekly payments to ensure provision for statutory payments and timely payments. Ensure timely payments to farmers, ensure timely payment of key bills like KPLC, KEPHIS HCD ETC Daily and weekly cash allocation and cash position management and also ensuring timely provision of financial resources to facilitate smooth running of the business.
    • Management of the debt collection process: Facilitate company’s efforts in debt collection by overseeing the implementation of the collection guidelines throughout the department, assessing the effectiveness of the methods and policies used and proposing any improvements necessary.
    • Supplier and Customer Management: Facilitate productive engagement with all clients by resolving incoming client queries on matters of credit business professionally and efficiently and coordinating corporate needs with company to ensure all collection is done as per agreed terms. Negotiation with suppliers and customers on payments and provision of services and goods.
    • Accounts Operations: Efficiently manage the day to day running of the accounts operations by ensuring that VAT refund claims on ITAX, facilitating Bank forex trading, providing flowers customer’s claims analysis, ensuring data entry for flowers section (bank account) and posting of payroll journals at month end.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance/business related field.
    • CPA /ACCA Finalist.
    • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in audit or finance.
    • Conversant with ERP System.
