    Regional Pharma Supply Chain Lead

    Job Purpose:

    This role is responsible for the pharma supply chain operations worldwide including the oversight of all aspects of pharmaceutical products procurement including medication and other related health products, inventory & warehouse management, order fulfillment and distribution in all Kasha Operations. The incumbent is expected to autonomously design and implement robust pharma supply chain operations initiatives that support Kasha's objectives and ensure efficient processes and tools are in place for scalable and sustainable operations with a focus on our pharma sales. Key responsibilities include managing country operations and overseeing teams in procurement, warehousing and distribution, leading complex procurement requirements (particularly high complexity negotiation with pharma distributors) and supporting strategic and complex supply chain decisions such as GDP compliance projects, pharma import and warehouse location. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of pharma supply chain management including temperature-sensitive logistics requirements, excellent operation management skills and a strong background in supplier relations and negotiation with a particular focus on the pharma industry.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Global Logistics Oversight: This role serves as the global lead on pharma supply chain operations, with a focus on maintaining robust operational oversight over procurement, warehousing and order management for pharma products. Responsibilities include designing or implementing key logistics plans, implementing technical projects for GDP compliance and plan/execute procurement operations to reach sustainable margins.
    • Warehousing & Inventory Management: Design and oversee implementation of inventory control processes with a focus on ensuring Kasha is compliant with GDP standards across all country operations. Responsibilities include the implementation of quality assurance initiatives and establishing a strong internal control protocol for Kasha’s pharma facilities. Additionally, the role is expected to lead negotiations and onboarding of key service providers and fulfillment teams to identify and set up ideal warehouse locations in compliance with Kasha Standards, including GDP.
    • Transport & Dispatch: The role is the overall leader for Kasha pharma products fulfillment operations. This includes developing lane assessments, setting up service level agreements and guiding country pharma teams on the correct execution of fulfillment operations.
    • Temperature-Sensitive Logistics: Serve as the main technical referent for end-to-end operational health supply chain and distribution networks related to temperature-sensitive products.
    • Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance: Together with the pharma operations team, be the supply chain champion on regulatory compliance of Kasha operations. The role provides leadership to any initiative related to improving quality and regulatory compliance of Kasha operations, including audits and investor’s assessments.
    • Procurement: Serve as global lead of all procurement activities for pharma products. Lead complex negotiation and sourcing decision process related to Kasha current and prospective markets with strong focus on margins, availability and quality management. This includes support to country teams to review procurement requirements, negotiating terms of health items (including prices and delivery terms) and serving as the main focal point for international procurements for pharma and medical supplies.
    • Coordination: Coordinate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to create, roll out and ensure adherence to processes related to pharma sales. Building excellent relations within the organization and facilitating collaboration meetings with stakeholders and vendors to review operational issues.
    • Performance Management and Continuous Improvement: Lead high-complexity/high-impact process improvement projects related to the pharma supply chain and provide corrective actions for non-conforming/non-performing KPIs.
    • Team Development: Sponsor Kasha-wide pharma supply chain capacity development with a particular focus on team development, process adherence and efficient ways of working.
    • Compliance and Fraud Prevention: Ensure strict adherence to Kasha’s rules and regulations, taking a proactive role in spearheading fraud prevention measures within the supply chain operations. Ensure appropriate use of corporate systems during the operation.
    • Team Management: Manage the supply chain team where applicable, providing leadership and guidance to ensure effective and efficient operational performance.
    • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other relevant tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain operations.

    Role Requirements:

    • At least 7 years of progressive pharma supply chain experience including 3 years of equivalent level of responsibility.
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management with a health background or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy with a background in Logistics. Master's degree preferred.
    • Advanced negotiation expertise oriented for local procurement (distributors, producers).
    • Professional proficiency in English.
    • Experience in medical procurement and in pharmaceutical supply chain management (procurement, import/export, warehousing, stock control, fulfilment, dispatch).
    • Experience in conducting pharmacy, supply chain or health assessments, particularly related to Good Distribution Practice Standards.
    • Experience relating to Essential Medicines, National Drug Policies, Quality Assurance and Retail/Wholesale Pharmacy Operations.

    Credit Officer

    Job Purpose:

    As a Credit Officer at Kasha, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth functioning of credit operations by collecting necessary financial documentation and evaluating clients' creditworthiness. You will collaborate with the Credit Admin Team to assess risk ratios based on credit scores and financial histories, enabling informed decisions regarding credit extension.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Debt Collection and Payment Plans: Manage debt collection within credit terms, negotiating and establishing payment plans with customers to facilitate timely repayments.
    • Account Reconciliation: Ensure accurate account reconciliation to reflect the true financial position at any given time, maintaining transparency and reliability in financial records.
    • Issue Resolution: Resolve issues such as short deliveries, unallocated payments, and customer complaints promptly within a 48-hour timeframe to uphold customer satisfaction and trust.
    • Relationship Management: Provide exceptional customer experience by actively engaging with clients through various channels including phone calls, market visits, and feedback sessions, thereby fostering strong client relationships and gathering valuable market insights.
    • KYC Process and Data Capture: Conduct thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) verification exercises for all new clients, ensuring the capture of relevant information in the organization's system to support decision-making processes.
    • Credit Evaluation: Assess the creditworthiness of Kasha customers before approving goods issuance, mitigating risks associated with credit extensions.
    • Debtor Management: Maintain accurate records of debtors, monitor the progress of existing debts, and track repayment activities to facilitate efficient debt management.
    • Demand Letters and Reporting: Prepare demand letters for defaulters and compile detailed weekly and monthly debtor reports, aiding in the identification of delinquencies and informing strategic decision-making.

    Role Requirements:

    • Business-related degree or its equivalent from a recognized university, accompanied by CPA 2 or its equivalent. Alternatively, CPA 2 qualification with demonstrated satisfactory experience as a Credit Officer within an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, demonstrating proficiency in credit control or related fields.
    • Exceptional analytical skills necessary for interpreting and effectively working with intricate financial data.
    • Excellent organizational abilities enabling efficient task management, particularly under pressure.
    • Strong commitment to ethical behavior when handling sensitive financial information.
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills, supported by a track record of providing outstanding customer service.
    • Thorough understanding of the laws and regulations governing credit practices in Kenya, ensuring compliance and adherence to legal requirements in credit management processes.
