    Baby Minder - Kisumu

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide high quality care of study participants’ children and listen, consult with parents, children and clinic staff
    • Ensure a safe and good hygiene standards environment for participants’ children within the clinic environs by creating clean and safe area that prevent a potential hazard to children.
    • Ensure children dedicated equipment such as baby coats are in good condition, well maintained, and safe to use and age appropriate
    • Ensure comfort, observe and report any matters that require attention such as accidents, emergencies that may occur among study participants’ children
    • Listening to, encouraging, enabling, engaging, motivating, stimulating and ensuring the safe keeping of the participants’ children
    • Change baby nappies and ensure their comfort and Provide a range of play activities, both indoors and outside
    • Regularly replenish children supplies and provide refreshments for children and their parents
    • Ensure that appropriate communication methods are used when communicating with children, parents, and fellow staff.
    • Ensure that the children feel secure, and are safe, warm, comfortable and well fed
    • Work with other staff within the study clinic
    • Perform Variety of unskilled tasks as helper in the clinic

    PhD Fellowship - KEMRI, Kenya and Oslo, Norway

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct ethnographic, qualitative, and/or policy research aligned with project objectives.
    • Participate in project meetings, seminars, and workshops at KEMRI and UiO.
    • Present research findings at national, regional, and international academic and policy forums.

    PhD Studentship - KEMRI, Kenya and University of Bergen (UiB), Norway

    Key Responsibilities:

    • The PhD candidate will conduct and coordinate data collection for the economic evaluation included in the HEKIMA project in Kenya, Uganda, and Malawi;
    • Perform costing analyses and different economic evaluation analyses comparing mAbs with DP and possibly other interventions for post-discharge malaria chemoprevention;
    • Publish at least three peer-reviewed scientific papers as part of the PhD requirements, summarize and discuss them according to UiB requirements in a thesis, and defend the thesis.
    • Engage with the relevant research group at UiB, and project stakeholders in the study countries, including policymakers, funders, and implementing partners.

    Postdoctoral Researcher

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain structured data systems to integrate surveillance, clinical, environmental, and climate datasets.
    • Clean, harmonize, and prepare large multi-source datasets for statistical analysis.
    • Integrate geospatial and climatic data with cholera incidence data.
    • Develop a Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP) for modelling cholera transmission dynamics and vaccine effectiveness.

    Clinical Research Scientist - KEMRI-CGHR

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implementing pre-clinical and clinical research projects and/or supervise designated aspects of the work
    • General diagnosis, care, treatment and provision of specialized clinical care for study participants
    • Assist in carrying out fieldwork and pre-clinical and clinical experimental procedures
