    Account Executive

    Purpose for the Job

    The position holder will handle allocated clients' claims, the insurance claim process for all general insurance claims in motor, property, liability and work injury claims at both retail and corporate lines.

    Duties and Responsiblities

    Claims Advisory and Advocacy

    • Reviewing and analyzing client claims, applications and adjustments and determining whether a client is covered under their insurance policy and that the claim has been properly adjudicated and processed within reasonable timelines.
    • Research, craft and draft appropriate professional and technical responses to claims issues.
    • Giving the client a competent insurance policy and a claims expert’s opinion based on sufficient knowledge and analysis of the relevant facts.
    • Meeting clients and concerned stakeholders on the ground over complaints and dispute resolution.

    Client Account, Claims Relationships

    • Manage claims for assigned client accounts, ensuring all insurance policy claims are handled with due diligence and integrity.
    • Process claims efficiently and accurately, ensuring prompt payments for all valid claims in accordance with policy terms.
    • Maintain effective communication with policy holders to ensure transparency throughout the claims process.
    • Ensure that all claims are resolved and finalized within a reasonable and acceptable timeframe, adhering to internal and regulatory standards.

     Maintaining Claims Records, Data and Claims Reporting

    • Properly handle client information and storage of claims Documents received and ensure the claim files are always updated.
    • Accurately capture claims data in the Core Claims Systems and ensure the claims data is up to date and always correct.
    • Prepare monthly reports for clients and management, highlighting claims trends.

    Complaints & Issues Handling

    • Handling of customer complaints regarding the claims from the portfolio of accounts and by escalation from direct reports.
    • Meeting clients and concerned stakeholders on the ground over complaints and dispute resolution.

    Key Result Areas

    The accountability areas are as follows:

    • Client Retention at 100%.
    • Claims life cycle lead time at 25 - 30days (simple claims) and complex claims at 90 - 180days.
    • Real-time claims information.
    • Claims closure rate at 115% (Closed/New) for the year.
    • Customer satisfaction Index of 85% and net promoter score of 60%.
    • Compliance with processes, policies and procedures at 100%.

    Professional and Academic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university (in a Business / Legal Studies-related discipline).
    • Diploma in ACII / AIIK.

    Account Executive – Retention

    Purpose for the Job

    To retain the Retail & SME portfolio by delivering seamless, high-quality service aligned with the division’s strategy. Drive organic growth across all Retail Insurance lines including Motor, Medical, Life, Pensions, SME, General Insurance, and Home Insurance by leveraging available digital solutions and other distribution channels, in line with the Retail & SME budget.

    Duties and Responsiblities

    • Provide clients with the highest standard of service, handling all queries promptly and professionally.
    • Maintain regular engagement with clients and develop a strong understanding of their businesses.
    • Initiate client engagement for policy renewals at least 60 days prior to the renewal date.
    • Maintain an aggregate retention rate of at least 95% within the SME book.
    • Drive organic growth of existing business by at least 40%.
    • Ensure that 75% of renewals are processed through digital platforms.
    • Conduct member education sessions for clients upon policy renewal.
    • Ensure a seamless customer journey throughout the digital renewal process.
    • Ensure retention business meets KYC documentation requirements.
    • Ensure retention business complies with cash-and-carry policies and credit authorization guidelines.
    • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities within the Retail & SME division.
    • Maintain strong working relationships with insurers.
    • Identify opportunities within the existing client base to promote Retail & SME products through digital sales solutions, in line with divisional targets.
    • Submit weekly retention reports and sales pipeline updates to the Head of Retention.
    • Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting other functional areas as needed to manage workload and cover absences.

    Key Result Areas

    • At least 95% aggregate retention of the existing business for Retail & SME.
    • 40% of new business production from existing business and clients.

    • At least 3 years’ experience in retention and business development.
    • Healthy knowledge of IT solutions and systems applications.

    Professional and Academic Qualifications

    • A business-related degree from a recognized university.
    • Diploma in insurance (AIIK or ACII).

    Account Manager - Business Development

    Purpose for the Job

    The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new business, growing the client portfolio, and retaining existing clients to drive revenue growth and support the company’s strategic objectives.

    Duties and Responsiblities

    • Develop and implement business growth strategies to drive revenue expansion.
    • Identify, target, and build relationships with existing and potential clients.
