    Director of Sport (Senior School)

    The Role

    St Andrew’s Senior School is seeking to appoint a Director of Sport. This role requires committed leadership from a member of staff who has a wide range of personal sporting experience in different team and individual sports, as well as the skills of managing staff and students.  The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the sports programme including fix-tures and, along with other staff, training teams and taking matches.  Sport is a very important part of School life.  The School teams are generally very successful in inter-school sport.  Many of the schools played are in Nairobi, requiring travel to the city several times a term for matches and tournaments, which are mostly held at weekends.  The successful teacher will also be able to teach class PE in Year 9, GCSE PE in Years 10 & 11 and A level PE in Years 12 and 13. The ability to teach a second subject would be highly advantageous.St Andrew’s is committed to providing a vibrant co-curricular and boarding program to which all staff contribute.

    Head of Modern Foreign Languages (Senior School

    The Role

    St Andrew’s Senior School is seeking to appoint a Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL). A love of foreign languages and a keen interest in teaching creatively are key requirements. The  ideal  candidate  will  join  a  thriving  and  well  developed department, and will be expected to teach across Year 9 to Year 13. Experi-ence of following the French Edexcel IGCSE and A level courses would be an advantage.     Head of Art (Senior School)

    The Role

    St Andrew’s Senior School is seeking to appoint an experienced Head of Art to contribute to this vibrant subject. Art is a compulsory subject in Year 9 and a popular examination subject in Years 10-13. There are many opportunities to develop extra-curricular art both within and outside of the school. Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and comput-er-generated art are all media with which the students work.     St Andrew’s, Prep School is seeking to appoint a appoint  a Director of Sport who will be responsible to the Director of Co-Curricular and the Deputy Head Academ-ic for the provision of Sport throughout the Preparatory School, as well as contrib-uting across all areas of school life. This role requires committed leadership passion and a desire for excellence as well as a wide range of personal sporting experience in different team and indi-vidual sports. Strong  skills of managing staff and students are also required.  The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the sports programme includ-ing fixtures and along with other staff, training teams, taking matches and teach-ing Physical Education across the School.  Sport is a very important part of School life.  St  Andrew’s  Prep  School  follows  the  British  Curriculum  throughout  the School.St  Andrew’s  Prep  School  is  committed  to  providing  a  vibrant  co-curricular  and boarding program to which all staff contribute. This post would suit a current Head of De-partment looking for a new challenge and looking to develop their leadership skills.  Alternatively, the role might suit an ex-ceptional individual with experience gained as a Teacher of PE who has a desire for greater challenge and responsibility. Experience of working in a Prep School, or in boarding would be desirable, but not essential.  Above all, what matters is a commitment to help us provide a world-class education for our children
