This position provides a unique opportunity to be involved in a variety of financial accounting areas including consolidations, international accounting, financial analyses, U.S. GAAP compliance, forecasting and budgeting.  Responsibilities also include coordinating and/or preparing book and certain tax accounting information for use by our external tax advisors in preparing the tax provision and federal, state and local income tax returns.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete worldwide consolidated income statements, balance sheets and statements of cash flow reported to senior management
• Prepare the year-end audited financial statements including footnotes and assist in the coordination of and preparation for the external audit
• Develop and prepare standardized financial reporting and tax packages to meet internal and external reporting requirements
• Monitor U.S. GAAP compliance and stay abreast of new accounting requirements and disclosures
• Prepare worldwide annual budget and quarterly annual forecasts
• Prepare financial analyses and presentations for Board of Directors’ meetings
• Prepare global business segment reporting
• Coordinate and/or prepare financial information and certain tax information required for U.S. tax provision and tax compliance purposes
• Coordinate and/or prepare information related to the annual insurance renewal and other insurance related projects/tasks
• Complete special projects
• Analyze manufacturing and operational costs to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare cost reports and profitability analysis for products, projects, or departments.
• Monitor standard costs and update as necessary to reflect changes in production or market conditions.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting by providing cost-related insights and data.
• Perform margin analysis and support pricing decisions with accurate cost data.
• Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards related to cost accounting.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes with cost allocation and inventory valuation.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems for accurate tracking and reporting.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and present actionable recommendations to management.
• Selected Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Purchasing and Production Functions.
• Any other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in business with a major in accounting.
• Experience (three to four years) in general accounting, financial statement preparation, financial analysis, consolidations and U.S. GAAP
• Emphasis in international accounting
• CPA certification and Big 4 Experience preferred
• Proficient in developing complex spreadsheets using Excel and creating PowerPoint presentations
• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience a plus
• Highly organized and accurate

• Perform basic equipment installations
• Organize and deliver product training to clients on software, equipment usage, and applications
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and professional conferences.
• Apply market knowledge and product expertise to support the development of sales, marketing, and customer service strategies.
• Generate and submit post-training reports, documenting customer feedback and satisfaction levels.
• Monitor competitor activity within the region and provide strategic input to stay competitive.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve both growth and profitability
• Utilize CRM systems to maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunity pipelines, and closed deals.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a Science-related field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, or equivalent).
• 2+ years of experience in technical sales or a related role in the scientific or laboratory equipment sector.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and scientific applications
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand technical product specifications and explain them to non-technical customers.
• Experience with laboratory equipment or scientific instruments is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally as needed.
