    Inside Sales Manager

    Are you ready to be part of a fast-growing business that is revolutionizing how low-middle income customers access quality goods at affordable prices? Copia Global is looking for an outstanding Inside Sales Manager who will set up and rapidly grow our outbound tele-sales channel which works with our Agents to grow their revenue and income.
    About the Role:

    Reporting to the VP Sales and working closely with the Field Sales Managers, you will be fully accountable for revenue generation from the outbound call center team. Copia manages more than 5000 Agents and is rapidly growing this number. Your team will work with these Agents to drive revenue growth through regular structured outbound calls. This role will be creating a new department and you will initially be working with a very small and young team, however we expect this team to grow rapidly. Specifically, you will:

    • Generate revenue as targeted
    • Play a critical role in Agent Development and Retention
    • Consistently achieve required productivity/efficiency KPI’s such as Calls/Agent and Results/Call
    • Work with Field Sales Managers to align the two work streams of field visits and outbound calls to ensure a coordinated, structured approach to Agent development.
    • Create appropriate targets and metrics for the outbound team and ensure that these are met.
    • Work with Tech and Analytics to develop automated reports that ensure we are calling the right Agents about the right things.
    • Work closely with the Customer Care Manager to align on inbound and Customer calls and phone/ticketing technology and functionality.

    Requirements

    About You:

    • You have 7+ years’ experience in contact centers, most specifically in an outbound tele-sales environment.
    • You have a proven track-record in selecting, training, coaching and developing contact center associates to generate revenue and you are clear on the metrics, KPI’s, technology and processes that are required.
    • You can think strategically to identify issues that are holding sales back and work effectively across an organization and with your team to quickly address these issues.
    • You operate with a sense of urgency – every single day.
    • You thrive in entrepreneurial environments where you have considerable scope to shape programs and work effectively without supervision. You have a strong focus on “creation” – ideally having grown a small team to significant scale.
    • At the end of the day, you know that results are all that matter – and that’s what you strive for – day in, day out.
    • You are fluent in English and Swahili

    Sales Training Manager

Copia Global is looking for an outstanding, entrepreneurially minded Sales Training Manager who wants to play a pivotal role in equipping our sales teams and Agents with the capabilities to take us to the next level.

    About the Role:

    Copia is growing extremely fast and is seeking an outstanding Sales Training Manager to ensure that the capabilities of our teams keep up with the demands of the business and that our Agents have the necessary training to effectively acquire, retain and upsell customers. Reporting to the VP Sales, the Sales Training Manager will work with our field based sales teams, our delivery teams and our tele-sales teams to ensure that they have the required capabilities to most effectively drive revenue through the Agent network. You will also be responsible for owning the Agent Training framework and working closely with Agent trainers in the field. This is a very critical, hands-on, individual contributor role and you will be developing and delivering content and programs yourself as well as training trainers.

    Amongst other things, specifically you will:

    • Develop the correct messaging and mediums to effectively train Agents – this may include group or individual training sessions (in person or on phone), utilizing booklets, video, SMS or other channels. You will own the Agent Training agenda to update it when new products or services are included and to continually improve it.
    • Train all relevant team members – field, inside, delivery - on how to most effectively deliver this training.
    • Co-coordinate all aspects of Sales Trainee Onboarding including content development, content delivery, post-onboarding coaching and follow-up training reminders. You will own this training agenda and continually update it and optimize on it.
    • Create and deliver ongoing training to sales teams and sales leaders at monthly regional sales meetings as well as other forums.
    • Develop e-learning programs to complement in-person training for sales teams.
    • Spend time in the field to coach and identify training gaps for the sales teams and Agents.
    • Develop a competency and career path model for sales teams.
    • Create, deliver and coordinate all aspects of onboarding and ongoing training for the Customer Care team.
    • Provide any other requested support to the organization.
    • Work with any third parties that might be used to provide supplemental training.

    Requirements

    About You:

    • You have 7 years + of Sales Training experience, ideally some of it in a fast-growing organization with lots of change.
    • You are an expert in curriculum development and have proven experience in developing useful and impactful training materials for both trainers and learners.
    • You have extensive experience in training and capability for both field-based sales teams and tele-sales teams. Ideally you also have experience with inbound Customer Care roles.
    • You are tech savvy and delight in using technology for training delivery including the creation of e-learning programs and micro-learning (SMS or What’s App training). This includes being able to create these yourself with programs such as Articulate.
    • You are a passionate and excellent trainer with people always demanding your services.
    • You have no problem getting your hands dirty to find out what people should be trained on – you proactively decide to shadow in the field and translate your learnings into actionable, impactful learning lessons.
    • You are accustomed to working with youthful and relatively inexperienced learners who have not previously been exposed to formal business training.
    • You are fluent in both English and Kiswahili
