    Manager Agency Banking & Alternative Channels

    Job Description

    Reporting to the Head of Operations & Customer Experience, the job holder will be responsible for the management of card systems, ATMs, Mobile Banking, Agency Banking, Internet Banking, host to host and other interfaces to other banking channels.

    • Provision of hands-on deployment, management, and business support for all alternative revenue streams within the bank e.g., Card systems, ATMs, Mobile Banking, Agency Banking, internet banking and interfaces to other banking channels to ensure total customer satisfaction as well as meeting organizational goals.
    • Vendor relationship management e.g. service reviews, obligations planning and management, SLA adherence.
    • Management, deployment, implementation, User acceptance testing, upgrade, Operator /end user Training on the Channels system to ensure performance, security and business benefits.
    • Ensure compliance provided by International Payment Providers (e.g. VISA/ MasterCard) and the regulator (CBK) relating to the Card systems, ATMs, Mobile Banking, Agency Banking, internet banking and interfaces to other banking channels are implemented within stipulated time frame.
    • Delivering business solutions by ensuring that they are well tested and are rolled out in a manner that does not adversely affect business processes.
    • Continuously analyze user requirements to develop and provide solutions.
    • Ensure compliance of SLAs with system vendors and Faulu business units from a business perspective.
    • Monitor the performance of the Card systems, ATMs, Mobile Banking, Agency Banking, internet banking and interfaces to other banking channels to ensure smooth running of these systems.

    • To ensure support calls are escalated to the ICT technical team/external team, using the agreed escalation procedures.
    • To contribute to team meetings and play an active role in the development of the service delivered by the team.
    • To actively engage in personal development within the role, and to pursue appropriate qualifications/training as agreed.
    • To provide reasonable availability for any out-of-hours activities as required by the role.
    • To promote Agent recruitment and push transactions at the Agent and Merchant locations by ensuring optimal service delivery by the Agents, their outlets, and branches while at the same time organizing and conducting frequent training for Agents and Sales Consultants.
    • Drive usage of Money Transfer services, Mpesa float sales and tills & Paybill utilization.
    • Grow partnerships with Money Transfer service providers to increase service offering.
    • Develop profitability models for each delivery channel and preparation of periodic profit and loss estimates.
    • Develop new Mobile functions and marketing plans in line with the Bank’s Mobile and Digital Banking strategy.
    • Optimally drive growth of Mobile Banking transactions via Advertising, Customer education and promotional activities in conjunction with the relevant banking departments.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED FOR THE JOB)

    • A University degree in a relevant field in Business or Information Technology or equivalent qualification with over five (5) years’ experience.
    • Thorough understanding of the working of delivery channels i.e., card business, ATMs, money transfer services etc.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the banking industry.
    • Project management skills to oversee projects to ensure effective implementation in a timely and cost-effective manner

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED, NOT A REQUIREMENT)

    • Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
    • Ability to conduct research to attract new to bank customers and retain existing customers.

    • Knowledge of financial transaction flow of the card business.
    • Ability to lead a diverse team to deliver results.
    • Experience in Alternative channels operations and handling of related risks.

    Tender Officer

    Job Description

    Drive sales through the tender business channel by having an elaborate execution plan for optimal business benefit and revenue growth.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • To grow the tender business portfolio through enhanced tendering activities and business acquisition engagements.
    • Ensuring all relevant documentation for bid proposals is complete and accurate.
    • Preparing written proposals, and financial proposals and attaching all the relevant documentation.
    • Ensuring that tenders are fully completed and submitted within the stipulated time frame and delivered at the right address
    • To scrutinize, analyze the tender documentation to make sure we can match the technical, skill and experience requirements to maximize our winning opportunities
    • Attend to Site / Clarification meeting & to debrief the tendering department & circulate the minutes for discussion
    • Coordinating planning and input for tenders
    • Coordination of tender reviews and deadlines and adjusting them to the frameworks given.
    • Follow up with the non-awarded or lost tenders as to improve our quality standards
    • Maintaining proper records and details of all tenders submitted and not submitted and the reasons therefrom.
    • Coordinate Travel Insurance sales through the portal and attend to all inquiries relating to travel insurance and delivering all quotes requested

    QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field from a recognized university
    • Experience of 2 years and above in relevant field.
    • Insurance technical knowledge is an added advantage

    Credit Operations Officer-Credit Services

    Job Description

    To ensure compliance with internal credit operations policies and procedures, best practices and CBK prudential guidelines to facilitate management of credit risks within tolerable levels. Originates all credit facilities disbursements for all segments and syndicated loans while ensuring absolute data integrity when capturing the credit facilities in the company’s core banking system. The role handles all credit disbursement and repayment for all products sectors in the company by following the laid down procedures and completeness off all credit documentation to safeguard the institution.

    MAIN ACTIVITIES:

     Loans Processing as per SLA & TAT

    • Prompt and efficient processing of all loan products disbursement facilities in T24 core banking system.
    • Processing of RTGS instruction as per the credit checklist and credit approval on loan disbursed amount.
    • Loan termination, liquidation and pay offs of loan related facilities in core banking in respect to customers instructions and credit approval.
    • Ensure marking of Limits/Overdraft and maintenance in core banking systems as per credit approvals and customers’ request.
    • Posting of refunds/recoups in T24 core banking system as per customers instructions and credit approval and collecting commissions as per the bank policy.
    • Processing of loan write offs and write back in core banking system as per board and credit approvals against loan provisions in GL.
    • Loan amendments on repayment dates, interest rate and modification of terms as per credit approvals.
    • Restructuring of Non-performing loans in T24 core banking systems as per credit approvals/board approval.
    • Ensure full capacity utilization of application right processes/procedure, ensuring accuracy and compliance/and verification of supporting documentation for loan related application to prevent income leakage by ensuring recovery of all commissions on loans facilities, Trade loans, and recoups/refunds.
    • Compliance to the bank’s policies and procedures.
    • Prompt and efficient response to branch queries raised through email within 24 hours to meet customers timelines and customers’ needs as per the bank policy.
    • Keenly reviewing, verification and approvals of documents in EDRMS before any disbursement is done for proper/correct processes to avoid error/loss of bank funds.
    • Accurate filing of all loan related facilities, recoups/refunds, Loan disbursements, amendments and other client instructions as effected in the unit for future reference and ease retrieval when need arises.
    • Comply with the banks Anti Money Laundering (AML) & Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) policy as defined by CBK prudential guideline.

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    • At least two (2) years banking experience.
    • Experience in: AA loan related knowledge, Credit disbursement and AA reconciliation related issues
    • Prior experience in using T24 core banking system and well versed in T24 processes and procedures.

    SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

    • Practical experience in use of relevant MS office applications, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Possess thorough knowledge of banking products and services and a wider understanding of the general banking universe/Industry.
    • Good communication and engagement skills.
