    Medical Officer

    Dental Consultant

    Job Summary

    Diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimes by assessing the dental health and performing the appropriate dental interventions. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Discuss and treat dental concerns, performing regular cleanings and other preventative & corrective procedures and establish a plan for better dental hygiene;
    • Ordering diagnostic measures, such as x-rays, models, etc.;
    • Performing dental procedures, such as extractions, root canals, and filling cavities in a professional manner while keeping the needs of the patient at the forefront;
    • Prescribing appropriate medications for dental problems;
    • Examine clients’ oral cavity according to the existence of cavities or diseases of the oral mucosa and the gum;
    • Supervision of professional tooth cleaning/full mouth scaling;
    • Train and educate patients on how perform effective oral hygiene at home;
    • Increase number of clients through marketing services and creative practice options;
    • Consult with patients about dental options to discuss treatment of the mouth and teeth;
    • Keep accurate records of patient visits, diagnosis and treatment;

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in dental practice in a busy hospital;
    • Comply with all applicable laws regarding dental and health care;
    • Comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, tools, and diagnostics.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to keep detailed records;
    • Good management skills;
    • Stay updated on patient care, new technology and new products that can improve or treat patient conditions or improve overall health.

    Physiotherapist

    Job Summary

    To assist in conducting in-depth evaluation of patients referred for therapyplan, supervise, coordinate and evaluate outpatient services ensuring patient satisfaction at all times.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conducting initial evaluation and assessment of patients having physical disabilities, disorders or injuries;
    • Selecting and administering appropriate tests to evaluate range of motion, neuromuscular status, pain and physical functional ability;
    • Reviewing medical file of patient for information pertinent in aiding evaluation;
    • Identifying treatment goals and appropriate therapy techniques and equipment to achieve goals;
    • Carrying out the rehabilitative program and designate the party to carry out treatment plan, e.g. patient, employee, ward staff, family members or community caterers;
    • Conducting regular evaluation of patients to assess progress and response to therapy, revise treatment program as necessary to achieve goals;
    • Participating in treatment teams, e.g. Doctors, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, other Physiotherapists to provide information regarding patient assessment to discuss treatment program or to coordinate treatment goals and programs;
    • Advising and recommending to referring doctors on necessary interventions and or change of management;  
    • Developing treatment plan to be followed by patient after discharge and advice the importance of continuing physiotherapy after discharge and to organize their physiotherapy appointments;
    • Instructing patient, families and other professionals in treatment techniques and exercise outlined in the program;
    • Preparing reports of results on evaluation of patients’ physical condition and prepare written treatment plan;
    • Conducting educational sessions or preventative health care in regard to physical status to other professionals in different disciplines. 

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution;
    • At least 4 years of experience in the field;
    • Registered with the Kenya Society of Physiotherapists;
    • Practice license with the Kenya Society of Physiotherapists;
    • Excellent customer service skills.

    Anesthesiologist

    Job Summary

    • Evaluating patients’ vital signs, medical histories, allergies, current medication use, and other risk factors;
    • Administering pain relief before, during, and after medical procedures;
    • Monitoring patients’ vital signs during procedures;
    • Approving general, sedative, regional, or local anesthetics;
    • Reviewing medical files and lab results;
    • Continuing care after surgery to control the level of pain relief and consciousness
    • Communicating continuing care instructions to specialists and nurses

    • Competent with Tracheal intubations, intravenous and central line cannulation, defibrillation and cardioversion, providing emergency medication, providing resuscitation inclusive of pacing and pericardiocentesis and care for the patient post resuscitation;
    • Compassion, self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure for long hours;
    • Good communication (written and verbal) skills;
    • Post Graduate Degree in Anesthesiology from a recognized institution;
    • MBChB or its equivalent holding a valid practicing license and retention certificate from the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council;
    • Valid certification in at least either ATLS, ACLS or BLS certification as applicable;
    • Sound Clinical knowledge, critical thinking, attention to detail;
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a busy hospital

    General Surgeon

    Job Summary

    • Follow the best medical protocols, technical standard and processes in order to provide best care to the patients and shall perform your professional duties without any breach of bye laws and/ or regulations as applicable;
    • Make your services available in accordance with the needs/ requirements of the management;
    • Provide outpatient consultations;
    • Preform surgeries and procedures at the Hospital. Will be in charge of all General Surgery procedures in theatre;
    • Post- operative care of patients through proper follow up of medication and dressings;
    • Be available for rotational call including emergency services in your specialty on priority basis;

    • Make your services available for emergency duties including in ambulances which would include transferring or receiving critically ill patients;

    Pediatrician

    Job Summary

    • Attend and manage acute pediatric cases and emergencies as well as chronic cases and referrals in the outpatient;
    • Facilitating inpatient admission and follow-up diagnostics, review and management of patients in the pediatric ward and newborn unit;
    • Conduct well-baby/Well-child consultations for growth and development monitoring, nutrition consultation and vaccination;
    • Provide Clinical education to patients and caregivers on common childhood illnesses, childhood immunization and nutrition;
    • Attend Newborn deliveries in maternity/Theatre department and follow-up care for all newborns until discharge from the hospital;

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • A Master’s Degree in Pediatrics’ and Child Health from a recognized University;
    • A Certificate of Registration from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
    • A valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.;
    • Minimum of 4 years’ clinical experience as a Pediatrician with in-depth knowledge and experience in clinical diagnosis and management of pediatric illnesses and emergencies;
    • Valid BLS & ACLS certification;
    • Demonstrated professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance;
    • Up to date knowledge of pediatric drug prescription standards and online prescription systems;
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, patient and calm.

    Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynecology

    Job Summary

    • Attend to walk in and referred obstetrics and gynecology patients both out and in patient;
    • Offering obstetrics and gynecology consultancy;
    • Oversee the obstetrics and gynecology department and run the gynecology and obstetrics Clinics;
