Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support project operations and project management
2. Find, prepare, review and submit competitive tenders
3. On-board new clients and receive initial client briefing 
4. Prepare bills of quantities, perform cost pricing and cost analysis 
5. Generate cash flow projections for projects and manage the cash flow 
6. Prudently manage project finances
7. Manage subcontractor contracting
8. Coordinate the procurement process and mange vendors
9. Submit and negotiate contract variations and additional works
10. Ensure contractual and legal compliance for all projects
11. Follow up and ensure clients make payments on time
12. Lead and manage teams
13. Perform day-to-day general administrative duties and support the implementation of HR policies.

Person’s Requirements

1. Must have at least 4 years of work experience mostly in an Interior design company
2. Must have experience managing construction projects with an emphasis on interior fit-out
3. Must have exposure to project financing and cost control
4. A finance professional with construction industry experience or an experienced Quantity Surveyor with finance expertise is preferred
5. Experience preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and tenders is required.
6. ArchiCAD/AutoCAD quantity take-off experience
7. Possess good leadership and management ability
8. Very strong client relationship management skills

Our Client is an interior architecture and design firm based in Kenya. They provide end-to-end processes for design solutions; from design, planning, and execution (build/fit out) to furnishing and decorating spaces.

They seek to hire a Project Manager. The individual will be mandated to oversee the company's projects from start to end ensuring that projects are executed within the required timelines and budgets.

Gross Salary 92, 000/-

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Project Mobilization- prepare project schedules, mobilize and allocate resources
2. Have oversight over all projects and prepare project reports
3. Manage project expenses-develop and implement cost savings measures 
4. Manage and lead the project team reporting to them, training and mentoring new site teams 
5. Ensure the site has relevant compliance documents
6. Be in charge of quality assurance of all fit-out projects -ensure that standards and specifications are met
7. In liaison with the Operations Manager negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors 
8. Prepare and submit weekly wage schedules for workers’ payments
9. Maintain good relationships with clients and vendors
10. Identify new business opportunities

Person’s Specifications

1. At least 5 years of work experience in construction project management with an emphasis on Interior design
2. Has experience and skill in project budgeting and resource management
3. Holds a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Construction or Project Management 
4. Proficient in Archi-CAD / AutoCAD and Ms Office Programs
5. A highly proactive individual, possessing risk management skills
6. Ability to lead and manage a diverse team
