    SAP CI DevOps Engineer

    Main purpose of the job

    • The successful candidate will join our integration team to operate, maintain, and enhance SAP Cloud Integration (SAP CI) solutions that connect SAP S/4HANA with a diverse landscape of business applications. Working approximately 70% in operations and 30% in development, you will take day-to-day technical ownership of integration solutions after project handover, ensuring they run reliably in production while continuously improving them through smaller enhancements and change requests. You will work closely with platform teams, application owners, project teams, and business stakeholders to keep integrations healthy and evolving.

    What you will do

    • Your passion is building and running reliable integrations. You don't just deploy flows; you take pride in operating them with discipline and continuously improving them.
    • You take over approved SAP CI solutions after project handover and assume day-to-day technical ownership through their full lifecycle.
    • You monitor integration flows and message processing, analyse and resolve standard incidents, and diagnose issues across SAP CI and the connected source and target applications.
    • You fix defects, implement standard change requests and smaller enhancements, and deploy corrections through the established release and transport processes.
    • You develop and modify standard SAP CI integration flows, configure integrations using the required protocols and technologies, and create or adjust XML/JSON transformations and XPath expressions.
    • You manage solution-specific certificates, credentials, and configurations, ensuring integrations stay secure and compliant.
    • You contribute your SAP CI expertise within the existing incident-management process, handling standard cases independently and escalating complex ones to internal SAP CI seniors with a clear initial technical analysis.
    • You collaborate closely with source and target system teams during problem analysis, and communicate confidently with platform, application, project, and support teams.
    • You maintain technical and operational documentation, capturing troubleshooting findings, procedures, and solution-specific knowledge so the team's collective capability keeps growing.
    • You share SAP CI knowledge through documentation, pairing, and daily collaboration, helping colleagues build practical SAP CI skills through joint operational and development work.
    • Your task requires close coordination with the SAP CI platform team, application teams, project teams, and business stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • 2 to 4 years of hands-on SAP (Cloud) Integration experience
    • Proven SAP CI development experience, including building and modifying standard integration flows.
    • Experience supporting SAP CI integrations in production, including monitoring, incident analysis, and defect resolution.
    • Experience with SAP S/4HANA integrations.
    • Practical experience taking over and maintaining approved solutions after project handover.
    • Hands-on ability to configure integrations using the required protocols and technologies.
    • Skills in creating and adjusting XML/JSON transformations and XPath expressions.
    • Sound knowledge and skills of technologies (e.g. Java, JSON, XML, REST/SOAP) and integration solutions (e.g. API, ETL, ESB)
    • Experience managing certificates, credentials, and solution-specific configurations.
    • Experience managing releases and transports according to established processes.
    • Structured and methodical troubleshooting approach, with the ability to work independently on standard cases.
    • Confident written and verbal English communication skills, sufficient for calls, stakeholder discussions, and technical documentation.
    • Experience working within formal incident-management and change-management processes
    • Exposure to a broad range of SAP and non-SAP connected applications as source or target systems.
    • Experience contributing to process improvements and helping adapt established processes to SAP CI specifics.
    • SAP certifications relevant to Cloud Integration or Integration Suite (not required, but an added advantage).

    Behavioural competencies

    • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical problems and their business impact in clear language.
    • Structured questioning skills to gather information effectively from business users and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proactive communication about progress, risks, and blockers, including concise status updates covering impact, findings, next steps, and expected resolution.
    • Strong sense of ownership, seeing assigned work through to resolution within the established support process.
    • Structured and methodical problem-solving approach.
    • Willingness to follow established processes and constructively help adjust them where needed for SAP CI.
    • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Collaborative mindset with a genuine willingness to share knowledge through documentation, pairing, and daily teamwork.
    • Focus on quality, reliability, and risk.

    QA / Integration Tester

    Main purpose of the job

    • The successful candidate will join our Integration team as an independent QA resource for the software integration development team, ensuring the quality, reliability, and robustness of our integration solutions for clients across their full lifecycle. You will analyse requirements and acceptance criteria, derive appropriate test cases, and execute functional, API, message-level, integration, and end-to-end tests across synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven scenarios. Beyond finding defects, you will help the team prevent them — identifying recurring weaknesses, building reusable test standards, and constructively challenging approaches where quality gaps exist. You will work independently across multiple integration assignments, in close collaboration with Technical Project Leads (TPLs), senior developers, and the Team Lead.

    What you will do

    • Your passion is quality. You don't just execute test cases; you take ownership of defining the right test approach and preventing defects, not only detecting them.
    • You act as an independent internal QA resource for the Integration team across multiple assignments.
    • You analyse requirements and acceptance criteria, critically assess them for gaps and testability, and derive appropriate test cases.
    • You support regression and release testing, ensuring changes are verified thoroughly before they reach production.
    • You document defects with clear evidence, verify corrections, and coordinate retesting internally with developers and TPLs.
    • You develop and maintain automated integration tests, contributing to a sustainable and repeatable testing capability.
    • You look beyond individual defects to identify recurring or systemic weaknesses across integration solutions, and document quality gaps together with their impact and concrete recommendations.
    • You address findings directly with the responsible TPLs or senior developers, explain where improvement is needed, and constructively challenge existing approaches when relevant gaps are identified.
    • You provide recurring quality summaries to the Team Lead and proactively escalate critical risks and recurring quality problems.
    • You create reusable test standards, template, and checklists for the Integration team

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance or testing, ideally with a focus on integration solutions.
    • Proven experience testing APIs and message-based integrations, including designing and executing test cases at both the API and message level.
    • Experience validating synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven integration scenarios end-to-end.
    • Solid understanding of common integration technologies and message formats (e.g. REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XPath).
    • Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
    • Experience supporting regression and release testing within structured delivery processes.
    • ISTQB Foundation Level certification (or equivalent QA certification) is a plus.
    • Experience testing integrations built on platforms such as SAP Cloud Integration, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, Dell Boomi, or similar.
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab, Azure DevOps) and integrating automated tests into build and release processes.
    • Basic scripting skills (e.g. JavaScript, Python, or Groovy) for test automation and data preparation.

    Behavioural competencies

    • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate findings clearly, honestly, and based on evidence.
    • Strong sense of ownership — takes responsibility for defining the appropriate test approach rather than only executing predefined test cases.
    • Structured and analytical problem-solving approach, with a critical eye for gaps in requirements, acceptance criteria, and integration logic.
    • Preventive mindset — focused on avoiding defects, not only finding them.
    • Proactive communicator, comfortable escalating critical risks and recurring quality problems in a timely manner.
    • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills, able to address findings directly with TPLs, senior developers, and the Team Lead in a respectful and professional way.
    • Be confident enough to challenge existing approaches constructively when relevant gaps are identified.
    • Collaborative mindset with a genuine willingness to share knowledge through documentation, templates, and daily teamwork.
    • Adaptable, managing change and ambiguity with ease across multiple parallel assignments.
