    Financial Literacy Trainers (50 Positions)

    Description

    EGF Enterprise Development & Financial Inclusion Pillar is Implementing the Young Africa Works Program supported by MCF and Equity Group. The program needs to meet its targets in training and mentorship of MSMEs in financial literacy. To achieve this, additional 50 Financial Literacy Trainers who will be conducting training, coaching and mentorship of MSMEs under the program are required

    • Mobilize & enroll MSMEs under Young Africa Works Program
    • Training of MSMEs in Financial Education.
    • Deliver Financial Education  coaching and mentorship sessions to trained MSMEs
    • Support MSMEs adopt and use digital solutions and tools in their enterprises.
    • Provide periodical  digital literacy training reports as  required 
    • Monitor, review and document program progress of MSMEs through the implementation process.

    Qualifications

    • Mean Grade of C+ in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
    • Minimum Degree preferably in Business Administration or management, cooperative management, micro finance and commerce.
    • Another degree but with diploma in microfinance, cooperative management, community management or experience in Group lending methodology, cooperative management, any community training  is also acceptable.
    • Experience in training, group lending, micro individual lending, Agriculture lending,
    • agribusiness, agency and merchants banking and marketing.
    • Strong understanding of provision of financial services or training to MSME is added advantage

    Skills/ experience required

    • Basic training and facilitation skills with ability to work with diverse business audiences at a group and individual level.
    • Demonstrate understanding of Micro and Small enterprise sector
    • Must be 26 year and above
    • Good communication skills
    • Possess soft skills
    • Team Player
    • Self-motivated
    • Interpersonal skills
    • Organized with good planning skills

    Entrepreneurship Education Trainers

    Description

    EGF Enterprise Development & Financial Inclusion Pillar is Implementing the Young Africa Works Program supported by MCF and Equity Group. The program needs to meet its targets in training and mentorship of MSMEs in financial literacy. 

    • Conducting training need assessments among potential MSMEs for Young Africa Works Program
    • Delivery of entrepreneurship  education training to MSMEs in Young Africa Works Program
    • Conduct demand driven coaching and mentoring of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises in Young Africa Works Program.
    • Ensure all the MSMEs trained in Young Africa Works Program access financial services from Equity Group.
    • Facilitation of market linkages and business networks for the Micro, Small & medium and Small Enterprises.
    • Documentation and dissemination of success stories & lessons learnt in the program.
    • Participate in the development, review and update process of training materials.
    • Evaluation of trainings conducted.
    • Monitoring, reporting and reviewing the progress of the program.

    Qualifications

    • Mean Grade of C+ in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
    • University degree, preferably in Entrepreneurship or Business Management or any business related areas.
    • Any other University Degree with a Diploma in Entrepreneurship or Business Management or related areas.
    • At least one year work experience supporting Micro, Small and Medium sized enterprises.
    • Strong understanding of provision of financial services or training to MSME is added advantage

    Skills/ experience required

    • Good communication skills and application of adult learning principles
    • Demonstrated Training and facilitation skills with ability to work with diverse business audiences at a group and individual level
    • Practical experience in offering business advisory to Micro and Small & Medium enterprises.
    • Personal discipline and self-initiative.
    • Demonstrate understanding of Micro and Small enterprise sector

    Digital Literacy Corps

    Description

    EGF Enterprise Development & Financial Inclusion Pillar is Implementing the Young Africa Works Program supported by MCF and Equity Group. The program needs to meet its targets in training and mentorship of MSMEs in digital literacy. 

    Reporting to the Regional Enterprise Development Coordinator, the holder will be responsible for building the capacity of micro, medium and small entrepreneurs through delivering Entrepreneurship Education, coaching and mentorship in assigned region.

    • Mobilize & enroll MSMEs under Young Africa Works Program
    • Training of MSMEs in Digital literacy.
    • Deliver Digital Literacy  coaching and mentorship sessions to trained MSMEs
    • Support MSMEs adopt and use digital solutions and tools in their enterprises.
    • Provide periodical  digital literacy training reports as  required
    • Monitor, review and document program progress of MSMEs through the implementation process.

    Qualifications

    • Mean Grade of C+ in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
    • Degree in IT, ICT and ICT related fields or Business Management with Diploma in IT.
    • ICT skills; familiarity working with business management software’s and related digital tools/solutions.
    • Knowledge on apps and software development will be an added advantage

    Skills/ experience required

    • Demonstrate understanding of ICT use in the Micro enterprise sector
    • At least one years’ experience working with business management related ICT/ digital tools.
    • Basic training and facilitation skills with ability to work with diverse business audiences at an group and individual level
    • Practical experience supporting entrepreneurs adopt business management digital tools and business related ICT services/ products
    • Possess soft skills  
    • Team Player 
    • Self-motivated 
    • Interpersonal skills 
    • Organized with good planning skills
