    Quality Engineering Lead

    Reporting to the Head, Digital Engineering, the position holder will be responsible for owning, leading, and driving quality engineering practices across all of Safaricom software engineering and digital experience delivery teams. This role is also responsible for providing expert knowledge of test strategy / frameworks and automation of end-to-end test design, execution, and validation, and deficiency identification and remediation, to enable target business capabilities / user journeys

    Qualifications - External

    • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field
    • 7 or more years of work experience in software quality assurance, testing, programming and /or systems analysis, program management
    • At least three years of software engineering or quality assurance leadership responsibilities in large delivery organizations
    • Extensive experience of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with experience writing and executing comprehensive test plans and cases
    • Extensive experience of automated testing tools and frameworks
    • Extensive experience working with agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, TDD and BDD
    • Extensive experience working with multiple programming and scripting languages, such as JavaScript, Ruby, SQL, and Python

    Record to Report Analyst

    Reporting to the Record to Report Team Lead, the individual is responsible for completeness, accuracy and timeliness of preparation of the general ledger and the associated reporting requirements in accordance with Safaricom policies and International Accounting Standards

    The R2R Analyst is also expected to deliver services as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) /KPI’s applicable for the role.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Preparation and posting of journal entries for Safaricom and its subsidiaries
    • Collaborate with team leader in ensuring data integrity and preparing financial information
    • Managing accruals for expenses and amortization of prepaid expenses and maintaining balance schedule for the same
    • Complying with Month End closing requirements and deadlines
    • Ensuring there are no outstanding transactions that are not completed before closing
    • Assist team leader in performing the periodic close of general ledger which includes maintaining the close schedule, scheduling of subsystem feeds and communicating to stakeholders when the monthly trial balance is finalized.

    Senior Service Reliability Engineer

    Reporting to Technical Product Owner – SRE Squad. The Senior Service Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring system availability, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, security, and capacity planning.

    Responsibilities

    • Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health

    Infrastructure Operations Systems Engineer

    Reporting to the Team Lead Infrastructure Operations & Security Remediations, the position holder will be responsible for System support, monitoring and administration of Safaricom Linux/UNIX based servers, NAS/SAN Storage and SAN Directors.  This includes general system administration tasks, software and hardware support, system configuration, SAN management, backups, system monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, skills transfer and customer management.  Configuration management and documentation.

     Job Responsibilities

    • Incidents and problem resolution
      • Working in an agile environment and utilizing relevant tools such as Jira & Confluence.
      • Administering, configuring and troubleshooting servers based on UNIX/Linux and Virtualization. This includes response, problem resolution and escalation of server issues;
      • Administering, configuring and troubleshooting SAN/NAS storage systems and SAN directors. This includes storage LUN provisioning and Zoning.
    • Service Excellence

    Senior Engineer, Cyber Prevent and Defence

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cyber Prevent and Defense, the successful candidate will support in day to day operations and maintenance of Cyber Security services to ensure high availability and support to the business.     • IT Networking Certifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCIE (with a Security option) will be an added advantage.
    • At least 2 years proven experience in IT Networks and/or Systems Administration.

    Senior Reporting Analyst

    Reporting to Operational Excellence Manager- SRE, the Senior Reporting analyst will be responsible to build and reinforce the Agile mindset and to embed Agile principles in the Core Billing & BSS Tribe, measure and report on key stability and reliability performance indicators.

    • Extensive experience with JIRA / Confluence and remote collaboration tools e.g. Mural/Miro
    • Strong analytical and reporting skills: MS Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI
