    Sales Relationship Manager- Public Sector

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Sector Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing Strategic Accounts (TML-Target Market List) within the Public Sector and NGOs vertical; to drive and achieve revenue targets through solution selling and segment propositions.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    SALES ACQUISITION AND REVENUE GROWTH

    • Individual contributor in a sales role responsible for delivering set revenue targets.
    • Identify growth prospects (New/Up-sell/Cross-Sell) within the TML;
    • Drive the identification and adoption of relevant segment propositions;
    • Device strategic plans for Relationship penetration and ensure implementation of tactical plans including opportunity pipeline management;
    • Proactive Relationship performance management and tracking;
    • Position new Solution offerings within Public Sector and NGOs TML; through retention, acquisition and penetration;
    • Drive acceleration in new growth areas of ICT and IOT
    • Provide thought leadership and Insights from customer engagements within the Public sector and NGOs Vertical.

    RELATIONSHIP & BASELINE RETENTION

    • Develop and execute customer ring fencing strategies in Public sector and NGOs Vertical;
    • Stimulate existing prepositions within Public sector and NGOs Vertical;
    • Develop strong relationships at CXO level in government and wider Buying Centers to understand mid-to-long term Public sector and NGOs objectives;
    • Churn Management in Public sector and NGOs Vertical;
    • Contract Management: Follow up on all existing contracts & renewal;
    • Provide insight into the refinement of customer journey processes;
    • Timely response to customer correspondence (not later than 24 Hrs.);
    • Flag potential escalations in a timely manner.

    NPS- Manage customer relationships to drive Net Promoter Score by:

    • Maintaining strong and deep relationships with accounts under direct management;
    • Follow through on all customer issues until closure;
    • Maintaining communication with the customer throughout the entire customer journey.

    SALES ACCOUNT DEVELOPMENT PLANNING

    • Formulate and manage customer relationship through up-to-date Account Development Plans, opportunity road maps, pipeline management and the entire sales cycle plan;
    • Leverage company assets (events & activities) to nature relationship with key stakeholders (CXO & Buying Centre).

    REPORTING

    • Manage reporting cycles (daily, weekly, and monthly).
    • Strict adherence on use of CRM systems for progressing customer orders and reporting.
    • Timely circulation of customer meeting minutes (Not later than 24 Hrs.)

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree in Commerce/ ICT or a business related;
    • Work experience of 4-5 years managing enterprise customers in a B2G or B2B environment.
    • Knowledge/ Work experience in ICT working in Public Sector, NGOs, Civil society will be an added advantage;
    • Strong relationship building skills.
    • Ability to deliver results and meet and surpass targets;
    • New business development skills.
    • Be commercially savvy with a deep understanding and demonstration of Solution Selling.

    Principal Officer - Money Laundering Reporting Office

    Brief Posting Description                     

    Reporting to the Senior Manager - Money Laundering Reporting Office, the role holder will implement a robust transaction monitoring program to ensure timely detection, investigation and reporting of suspicious activities.

    Job Responsibilities                 

    • Define, test and deploy efficient transaction monitoring scenarios which trigger high quality alerts.
    • Design and implement enhanced monitoring parameters for high-risk customers, partners, locations and corridors.
    • Deploy machine learning models to ensure timely flagging of outlier behavior in local transactions and international money transfers.
    • Automate processes to create efficiencies, improve compliance monitoring and ensure that AML/CFT risks are adequately mitigated.
    • Implement an effective risk-based approach to AML compliance and ensure it is updated regularly.
    • Maintain detailed knowledge of current AML laws, regulations and requirements while monitoring emerging trends or issues within the AML scope. This should drive changes to existing procedures.
    • Perform regular review of AML/CFT controls to assess effectiveness and address emerging risks. This includes review of the following programs; customer and partner due diligence, sanction screening, transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting.
    • Conduct ongoing reviews to ensure all operations comply with the AML policy and applicable laws or regulations.
    • Report control weaknesses or lapses to senior management in a timely manner, recommend mitigation controls or process changes and follow up implementation of agreed actions.
    • Carry out quarterly compliance reviews on M-PESA activities based on the signed off compliance methodology.
    • Prepare regular reports to internal stakeholders and management on the state of compliance and follow through for resolution of any exceptions identified.
    • Proactively identify risks in the assigned projects and follow up implementation of agreed mitigation controls.
    • Active participation during audits by providing documents, explanations and walk-throughs.
    • Follow up for timely implementation of recommendations made by internal and external auditors.
    • Maintain strong working relationship with internal stakeholders such as Financial services, Big Data & Business Analytics, Regional Sales & Operations, Corporate Security, Corporate Affairs, Customer Operations and relevant departments to ensure that compliance issues are regularly discussed and addressed.

    Job Requirements                   

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
    • AML certification (ACAMS or MICA)
    • Good knowledge of money remittance and payment services
    • At least 3 years’ experience in transaction monitoring
    • Detailed knowledge of money laundering techniques, legislation and regulation
    • Experience in automating processes, deploying and optimizing monitoring systems
    • Good understanding of programming languages
    • Exposure to big data analytics
    • Effective communicator orally and in writing
    • Team player who works effectively with others to deliver expected outcomes

    Transmission Configuration and Support Engineer

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Manager – Transmission Configuration and Support the position holder will carry out fault resolution, configuration changes, quality assurance, system improvement, optimization and upgrades to deliver reliable and resilient Core transport network.

    Detailed Description

    • Fault management on Transmission networks and Resolution of tickets assigned in remedy within the SLA.
    • Perform preventive maintenance of all core transport network elements and links. Ensure proper documentation is done for all tasks performed.
    • Transmission network infrastructure vendors Management to ensure adherence to agreed SLA’s.
    • Review and Implement transport configuration changes as per the changes execution process and procedures.
    • Carry out acceptance of new transport infrastructure and technologies before traffic loading.
    • Perform and document transport BCP and disaster recovery tests.
    • Ensure proper synchronization of all network elements and perform maintenance of the network clocks
    • Perform software updates and Patch management of all transport equipment / systems
    • Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our transmission networks quality and reliability.
    • Ensure all core transport elements are manageable from the NMS’s
    • Carry out transport network optimization to achieve best performance.
    • Carry out demand and capacity management.
    • Transport infrastructure spares management as per spares management procedures.
    • Automate existing and new processes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Telecom Engineering, or related field.
    • At least two years technical experience in supporting transmission networks, preferably Service provider environment or equivalent.
    • Experience working with various transport technologies such as DWDM, SDH, Microwaves, IPRAN and conversant with network synchronization techniques.
    • Good working knowledge of IP networking. Certification in either CCNA, CCNP, HCNA or HCNP preferred.
    • Strong technical analysis, robust troubleshooting and problem resolution skills in DWDM and routing systems.
    • Experience in outside plant fiber, issue identification, and maintenance.

    Principal Engineer - Transmission Planning capacity & Optimization

    Reporting to the Senior Manager- Transmission & IP Engineering, the position holder will be responsible for management of TNP Team involved in Modeling, Planning, design, optimization and project management of reliable transport systems /networks in support of timely transmission requirements.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide preliminary technical vision, direction, and delivery expectations before any Fixed project to the home build is initiated.
    • Management of Modeling and planning of Transmission systems/network and respective capacity planning and analysis.
    • Equipment planning and subsequent Transmission hub and BSS space management.
    • Ensure Network build with 70% occupancy and 30% growth factor.
    • Project management of Transmission projects from inception of plans to Projects handover to NM and management of transmission systems/equipment suppliers.
    • Ensuring equipment space and power availability for planned systems.
    • Ensure PO process is followed through, goods landed in time and RFI/S issued to right departments.
    • Running of transmission/transport trials, equipment/system parameter checks and evaluation and subsequent recommendations for approval and adoption of new equipment, systems and technologies into the network.
    • Ensuring Due diligence in products introduction to network.
    • Liaison with Implementation department during site surveys and visits to ensure timely monthly rollout in accordance to timeframes set in Roll out process.
    • Approval of transmission designs and plans for required bandwidth.
    • Approval of leased bandwidth capacities or Tx facilities from third parties.
    • Ensure proper test gears to subject new equipment to full suite of compliance tests.
    • Ensure monitoring of all network elements is achieved.
    • Ensure TX team is adequately trained to perform expected duties.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Higher National Diploma in Electronics/Telecommunications  
    • 5 years’ experience with 3 years specialized role in a busy telecommunications environment –Involved in installations /commissioning and planning of major telecom projects especially in the transmission field.
    • Knowledge in Pathloss design tool and microwave planning
    • Networking knowledge/CCNA or HCNA /CCNP or HCNP

    Manager - RAN Evolution Planning & Deployment

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager - Access Network Planning & Design, the role holder is responsible for smart Network coverage and capacity Planning using NPS,CQI, Customer Segmentation data, network performance statistics, CDRs, Geo location data, crowd sourcing data, products pricing data and data forecasting tools to work out a data-growth propensity model mapped to revenue. The output will be site prioritization based on customer value and traffic.

    He/She will be responsible for the planning and execution of new Technologies in line with the RAN evolution strategy and work closely with the Technology Strategy team to deliver on the Tech Strategy.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Smart Planning: Generate of Smart Capacity, coverage and Upgrade plans based on customer value. Ensure proactive generation of smart coverage nominals to maximize business revenue and increase competitive edge of business.
    • New Features: Performs development, testing, and validation of RF (HW &SW) feature plan proposals. Provides input in defining implementation guidelines for approved new features and technologies. Coordinate trial testing for new features.
    • Process Automation: Participate in developing internal process used for radio network design and Optimization. Monitoring processes, tools and behaviors for Automation opportunity identification.
    • Innovation: Continuously researching and engaging key stake holders on new technologies, processes to enhance network. Engages Vendors and Strategy team on hardware and software roadmaps and new RF technologies.
    • Architecture and Design: Translates business and customer requirements into technology requirements using data and research to make decisions that are competitively and financially robust. Define the architecture and design of RAN systems and solutions to meet current and future business needs
    • Testing and Evaluation: Defines test cases and acceptance criteria based on user requirements   Reports and interprets test results assesses the effectiveness of tests and testing tools
    • Optimisation: Monitors RAN systems and services to identify performance issues. Troubleshoots and resolves complex network issues end-to-end.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, computer science, IT  or any technical related field
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to details, Communication and interpersonal skills, Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
    • 4 years’ experience in telecommunication with hands–on experience in Radio Network planning.
    • Practical knowledge on use of radio planning tools and capacity planning tools, MySQL, M2000, NetAct, Advanced Excel, Erlang-B etc.
    • Experience in process automation and database audits interfacing with planning tools.
    • SQL database queries and scripting for data manipulation, GIS and crowd source analytics is an added advantage.
    • Candidates with experience in Nokia or Huawei RAN equipment will have an added advantage.
    • Practical knowledge of all RATs and interoperability is must.
    • Thorough knowledge in traffic modeling, coverage and capacity forecasting& management.
    • Knowledge of Core access planning, Paging and LAC dimensioning.
