DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
2. Constructing base templates if necessary.
3. Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
4. Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.
5. Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work.
6. Fabricating and constructing metal components.
7. Grinding and finishing completed products.
8. Performing quality checks on completed products.
9. Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
10. Completing job reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
2. Previous work experience as a metal fabricator.
3. AWS certification and advanced welding experience.
4. Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
5. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
6. Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.
7. Advanced mathematical and engineering skills.
8. Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
9. Ability to stand for long periods

1. Fixing the scaffolding to the building or structure to make it more stable, using short ‘tie tubes’
2. Laying planks (battens) across the scaffolding for workers to walk on
3. Putting up the scaffolding poles (standards) and attaching the horizontal tubes (ledgers) to them with couples
4. Unloading scaffolding equipment at the site
5. Fixing guard rails and safety netting
6. Taking down the scaffolding after a job is finished.
7. Setting base plates on the ground at regular intervals (these stop the upright poles slipping)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
2. Scaffolding experience
3. Must have a “safety first” attitude and strong mechanical skills.
4. Must not be afraid of heights
5. Basic arithmetic skills
6. Physical fitness

We are looking for an enterprising steel fixer to join our construction team. The responsibilities of the steel fixer include following engineering plans, using hand and power tools, cutting and bending steel bars and mesh, and connecting rebar with wire, clips, or welds to build-up sections.

To be a successful steel fixer, you should be able to read and interpret engineering plans and work according to those plans. Ultimately, a top-notch steel fixer should be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all-weather types and at various heights

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Setting out the work area, following engineering plans.
2. Using hand and power tools to cut and bend bars or mesh.
3. Tying steel reinforcement bars (rebars) to build cages.
4. Fitting spacers and chairs (supports)
5. Using rebar to build special casts to keep setting concrete in place.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

1. A completed apprenticeship in steel fixing.
2. A completed “Work Safely at Heights” short course.
3. An NVQ certification in steel fixing may be advantageous.
4. Basic work experience in construction may be advantageous.
5. A good understanding of health and safety issues.
6. The ability to read and follow technical plans and drawings.
7. The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
8. A head for heights.

Job Role Description
Main task will be to follow up on the heat tracing cable installation, design verification and mechanical completions

Roles and responsibilities

1. Strong HSE focus and mindset
2. Follow up all heat tracing installations
3. Secure that all heat tracing scope is built
4. Follow up Contractors MC installation and testing activities for EIT systems.
5.  Ensure that activities are planned, performed, and documented in accordance with the project specifications and Company technical requirements.
6. Perform receiving inspections of all EIT equipment and document accordingly.
7. Contribute to a constructive and professional working relationship between Contractor's and Company's Team members, especially with the EIT discipline personnel.
8. Read and understand all Electrical, Instrument & Telecom installation procedures and requirements
9. When required assist other team Inspectors and participate in other various activities

Qualifications and Skills required

1. Engineering degree, but longer relevant experience may compensate for less formal education
2. Strong knowledge and long experience with similar heat tracing NORSOK installation is a requirement.
3. Basic ATEX qualifications
4. Organized with good communication skills (spoken & written English)
5. Able to work in a team and get along with others
