DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
- Constructing base templates if necessary.
- Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
- Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.
- Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work.
- Fabricating and constructing metal components.
- Grinding and finishing completed products.
- Performing quality checks on completed products.
- Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
- Completing job reports.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Previous work experience as a metal fabricator.
- AWS certification and advanced welding experience.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
- Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.

- Fixing the scaffolding to the building or structure to make it more stable, using short ‘tie tubes’
- Laying planks (battens) across the scaffolding for workers to walk on
- Putting up the scaffolding poles (standards) and attaching the horizontal tubes (ledgers) to them with couples
- Unloading scaffolding equipment at the site
- Fixing guard rails and safety netting
- Taking down the scaffolding after a job is finished.
- Setting base plates on the ground at regular intervals (these stop the upright poles slipping)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Scaffolding experience

- Setting out the work area, following engineering plans.

- Follow up Contractors MC installation and testing activities for EIT systems.
- Ensure that activities are planned, performed, and documented in accordance with the project specifications and Company technical requirements.
- Perform receiving inspections of all EIT equipment and document accordingly.
- Contribute to a constructive and professional working relationship between Contractor's and Company's Team members, especially with the EIT discipline personnel.
- Read and understand all Electrical, Instrument & Telecom installation procedures and requirements
- When required assist other team Inspectors and participate in other various activities
Qualifications and Skills required
- Engineering degree, but longer relevant experience may compensate for less formal education
- Strong knowledge and long experience with similar heat tracing NORSOK installation is a requirement.
- Basic ATEX qualifications
- Organized with good communication skills (spoken & written English)
- Able to work in a team and get along with others
