    Sales Agronomist -Agri

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identifying new Agri SMEs that can be financed within your region
    • Create awareness of AGT financing products and solutions in the market where applicable
    • Assisting the Account Manager with country operations, projects and client engagements
    • Provide support to agribusiness clients i.e. training, field assistance, demonstrations etc
    • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure the user experience is positive
    • Ensure superior customer service is offered at all times to all levels of clients
    • Promptly identify and resolve problems directly impacting the client and escalate accordingly where required
    • Achieve monthly/yearly KPI’s and liaise with the Account Manager to ensure a seamless service to our clients and end-users.
    • Timely reporting to Account Manager, i.e. client engagements, leads, forecasting and travel etc

    Key Knowledge and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in business administration, Marketing, or a related field
    • Must have experience in sales; the ability to generate and manage leads
    • Strong customer service and relationship abilities
    • Ability to assist with implementation and deployment of services and solutions when and where required
    • Agricultural industry experience is an added advantage
    • Experience and willingness to travel to rural farming communities to assist with on-site training
    • 1 Candidate should be based in Nairobi & the other in Embu Town.
    • Experience in debt recovery or in the digital lending space is an added advantage
    • IT savvy – Experience with ZOHO CRM, Use of 3CX system
    • Exceptional organisational and planning skills

    Chief Accountant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure that consolidated management reports are submitted in a timely manner
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Provide insights into financial performance, including variance analysis and trend identification
    • Gather information and input for budgeting purposes in a timely and efficient manner
    • Analyze historical financial data and trends to develop accurate and realistic budget projections
    • Ensure that budgets are comprehensive, covering all relevant income and expense categories
    • Develop and maintain financial forecasting models to project future financial performance
    • Regularly update forecasts to reflect changes in business conditions, market dynamics, and internal factors
    • Prepare reports on future revenue and expenditure expectations as required
    • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts
    • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records
    • Validate transactions in the Accounting System
    • Monitor cash flows and prepare cash flow forecasts
    • Manage working capital and optimize cash utilization
    • Support group audits and consolidation processes
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
    • Maintaining the company – wide control environment, monitor and report compliance gaps and drive improvement
    • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
    • Develop and update company finance policies, procedures and processes manual
    • Research on technical accounting and tax matters and ensure compliance at group level
    • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local and federal tax laws
    • Stay updated on changes in tax regulations
    • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
    • Utilize accounting software and systems to streamline financial processes
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
    • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff and local finance teams as required
    • Foster a culture of learning and development within the team
    • Drive discussions with the senior management team in formulating the future direction of the company with both strategic and tactical initiatives.
    • Strategically steer the financial ship of the company in regards to current and future financial status
    • Develop and continuously maintain a credible financial plan (budget, forecasting) that supports the organisation’s strategic objectives, including long-term stability
    • Will act as the ‘moral compass,’ assisting in guiding the business to profitability and beyond and support on the business strategic plan
    • Support in organisational fund raising

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field
    • CPA (K) finalist or ACCA
    • MBA is an added advantage
    • At least 7 years’ experience and 3 years’ experience in management in a fast-paced Finance department with an all-round knowledge of all finance processes in a group setting
    • Experience in horticulture or agribusiness will be an added advantage
    • Excellent understanding of accounting and reporting standards and procedures.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good leadership skills with the ability to direct and supervise
    • Preparation of consolidated financial statements
    • Proficiency in ERP
    • Advanced Excel skills

    Sales Manager-Horticulture

    Key Responsibilities

    • Business Development- Export and Local.
    • Proactively create additional sales with new and existing customers.
    • Meet planned sales goals.
    • Maintain complete and accurate records of all sales customers.
    • Provide superior customer service to new and existing customers.
    • Track and analyze customer sales history and purchasing trends.
    • Identify and strategically pursue industry trends in fast-growing segments.
    • Handling marketing functions and special promotions.

    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business expansion and improvement.
    • Be a brand ambassador and regularly post on social media on the availability of products
    • Attend industry events and travel to visit customers to build long lasting relationships
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to senior management.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience
    • Experience in the horticulture industry.
    • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
    • Experience in customer relationship management.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Dedication to providing great customer service.
    • Experience in collaboration cross functions with agronomy and packhouse teams
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to travel nationally to meet with clients, farmers, attend industry events, and oversee sales operations.
