    Senior Associate Tax

    Key roles and responsibilities

    • Assist the Managers, Directors and Partners in delivering services to clients in diversified sectors
    • Extensive involvement in the provision of general and specialized tax compliance reviews including on corporate taxation, employment taxes, customs and excise, and VAT to check that the clients are complying with the various tax laws
    • Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and Kenya Revenue Authority
    • Provide tax structuring and tax consulting advice on various tax matters
    • Carry out corporation tax computations and advising clients on the tax liabilities and disclosures
    • Manage the preparation and review of clients’ tax returns (PAYE, VAT, corporation tax and withholding tax) to ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns
    • Undertake tax due diligence and tax health check reviews
    • Keep abreast with technical developments in the profession and the country, in order to anticipate client needs, and offer value added and practical business solutions
    • Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within the stipulated timeframe
    • Manage multi-disciplinary client service teams

    Qualifications and experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
    • Qualified Professional Accountant- CPA(K)/ACCA
    •  Strong tax technical knowledge across direct and indirect taxes as well as regulatory requirements
    • Work experience of between 4 to 8 years in tax consulting

    Manager, Technology Transformation – CIO Advisory

    Roles and Responsibilities

    The overall responsibility for the CIO advisory manager role is to lead a team involved in building and customizing digital transformation strategies and defining adoption approach for our clients. You will work closely with our client’s CIOs to help transform and manage IT. You will also drive CIO advisory business development efforts within the market, leveraging on deep multi-sector technical knowledge and experience.

    CIO advisory engagements will include but not limited to:

    • Digital strategy formulation and review
    • Aliment IT Strategy to Business Strategy
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • IT cost optimization
    • IT budget and spend/IT service costing
    • IT services chargeback reviews
    • IT cost benchmarking
    • IT supplier management
    • IT Asset management
    • Pre- and post -project review
    • Change management
    • IT readiness to change assessment

    • IT capability maturity assessment (e.g., ITIL, COBIT)

    • Managing Engagements
    • Be responsible for the CIO advisory team and related engagements
    • Planning, managing and delivery of CIO advisory related projects to ensure business risks are recognized and appropriately managed before adversely affecting the project objectives. Activities include planning, scoping, budgeting, development of execution methodologies and resourcing the project
    • Provide technical knowledge, direction and training to the engagement team to produce quality deliverables on time and on budget
    • Building and promoting strong client relationships by understanding client needs and proposing digital initiatives to serve their needs
    • Providing and facilitating the involvement of subject matter experts for the key components of the strategy during the formulation stage
    • Presentation to project committee or board of directors (where relevant) on the engagement status, recommendations and action plans.

    Professional Qualifications And Experience:

    • Professional qualification such as Digital Transformation Certification, Lean six sigma, Prince2 AGILE, TOGAF, ISTQB, COBIT, ITIL certifications preferred
    • Team/ engagement management skills
    • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong understanding of corporate governance and the regulatory environment
    • Demonstrated track record of quality work, project management and productive team interactions
    • Willingness to travel moderately

    Manager Technology Transformation

    Roles and Responsibilities

    The overall responsibility for the Manager, Powered Enterprise is to lead a team involved in assisting clients transform back office operations through ERP solutions using KPMG’s Powered Enterprise tools and assets. These solutions cover all back-office processes including HR, Supply chain and Finance and are built on platforms such as Oracle, Microsoft and SAP. You shall help in defining strategies and defining adoption approach for our clients. You will work closely with our client’s CFO, CHRO, CIOs etc to help transform and manage the identified processes.

    • Managing Engagements
    • Be responsible for the ERP/Powered Enterprise advisory team and related engagements
    • Planning, managing and delivery of related projects to ensure business risks are recognized and appropriately managed before adversely affecting the project objectives. Activities include planning, scoping, budgeting, development of execution methodologies and resourcing the project.

    Professional Qualifications And Experience:

    • 8 plus years in IT and business experience
    • At least 5 years’ experience working with various OEMs or partners especially Oracle, Microsoft or SAP
    • Professional qualification such as Digital Transformation Certification, Lean six sigma, Prince2 AGILE, TOGAF, ISTQB, COBIT, ITIL certifications preferred
    • Various requisite qualifications/certifications in various systems including Oracle, SAP or Microsoft
    • Team/ engagement management skills
