Job Purpose:
Implementation of comprehensive quality improvement projects, performing quality control, and continuous quality improvement function to enhance compliance with guidelines, policies, protocols, and healthcare regulations to ensure patient safety, high-quality care delivery, and attainment of certification and accreditation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Participate in the review of quality and patient safety program, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Guide the interpretation and implementation of developed quality standards, policies, and procedures in the context of the quality and patient safety framework.
- Constantly be involved in the training and communication of quality and patient safety issues and standards/best practices throughout the assigned areas.
- Conduct internal quality audits and support the development and implementation of corrective/preventive action plans to address non-compliance.
- Review Certification, accreditation, and regulatory agency survey and audit findings, and support the development and implementation of corrective and preventive action plans to address non-compliance.
- Lead in the collection, measurement, and presentation of data required for monitoring and improving quality and patient safety.
Continuous quality improvement:
- Lead the assigned departments in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for sentinel and adverse events.
- Identify opportunities for Continuous Quality Improvement and support the development and implementation of CQI activities in the assigned departments.
- Support assigned departments in the identification of relevant key quality performance indicators and in developing a database.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Foster a culture of safety and quality throughout the hospital by promoting staff engagement and awareness of quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with department leaders and clinical teams to implement quality improvement projects.
- Provide training and education on quality, patient safety, and compliance standards for the hospital staff.
- Perform any other tasks assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
Education
- Diploma in clinical Medicine or Nursing from a recognized university or college, a bachelor’s degree, and or a Higher National diploma in clinical medicine or nursing will be an added advantage.
- Valid practice license from the regulatory council
- Basic Certificate in Healthcare Quality Management, Patient Safety, and Incident Management.
Job Experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a healthcare quality improvement role in a hospital setting, preferably a level 5 hospital.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in clinical/nursing practice.

- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards

Job Purpose:
The overall purpose of this job is to provide technical support to radio sonographers, radiology reporting, and perform specialized radiology procedures to assist in disease study, diagnosis, and treatment. In addition, this role requires you to manage the quality assurance in the radiology department.

- Leading the development of new services and initiatives that contribute to the financial sustainability and budget of the hospital.
- Ensuring the development and application of clinical quality management methods within the department, including adherence to Safecare standards.
- Support the Head of Clinical Services with ensuring compliance and oversight of clinical practice including credentialing of all practicing radiologists
- Fostering good relations with community physicians and other organizations in the community with the goal of stimulating patient referrals to AAR hospital-based physicians.
- Working with colleagues across the AAR hospital to ensure that opportunities for collaboration are maximized and that clinical services are delivered in the most efficient and cost-effective way.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Bachelors in Surgery
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ working experience as a radiologist after specialist recognition.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery

- Valid certification in BLS and ACLS.
- Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification an added advantage.

Job Purpose:
Perform phlebotomy services to patient and Blood donors as per hospital sample collection manual.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- May man the laboratory front office when assigned by the manager.
- Collect blood samples from both in-patients and out-patients.
- Perform coagulation screening for cases of bleeding disorders.
- Ensure that appropriate samples are received with relevant details both on specimen bottles and request forms.
- Attend to patients queries at reception area.
- Distribute samples to respective sections in the system.
- Attend to blood donors in the blood donor unit and bleed them whenever necessary.
- Familiarize and be updated with the requirements of all QMS implemented in the laboratory.
- Observe/comply with Health, Safety, and security requirements of the laboratory.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Laboratory manager or designee.
Qualifications:
Education
- KCSE C –
- Diploma in Medical laboratory technology or Phlebotomy.
- Training/ experience in HIV patients counselling will be an added advantage.
Job Experience
- One-year minimum experience in a clinical Laboratory.
