    Regional Inventory Officers - 6 Posts

    About the Role:

    Apollo Agriculture is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Regional Inventory Officer to oversee inventory management operations at both agrodealer and warehouse levels. As a Regional Inventory Officer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that Apollo's assets are safeguarded through accurate stock management and the maintenance of data integrity.

    You will work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve any inventory issues and provide continuous and timely updates on discrepancies and other arising issues to the Risk and Loss Control Manager. As a Regional Inventory Officer, you will be a critical player in ensuring our customers have access to the right product, in the right quantities and at the right time, thus providing an excellent customer experience.

    This role is ideal for you if you have experience in inventory management, are an intuitive problem solver and self-driven.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and manage stock levels across warehouses and agrodealer locations.
    • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions.
    • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and share regular inventory reports with stakeholders.
    • Provide actionable insights to optimize stock management and reduce waste.
    • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or losses promptly.
    • Escalate unresolved issues to the Risk and Loss Control Manager.
    • Collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
    • Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to align inventory needs.
    • Support agrodealer partners in inventory management to enhance their experience.
    • Ensure all inventory processes comply with company policies and standards.
    • Safeguard company assets by minimizing risks related to inventory loss or damage.

    Requirements:

    • Diploma or degree in Logistics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university.
    • At least 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, accounting, or warehousing.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
    • Experience in cycle counting and stock audits.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • A team player with strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in inventory management software is a plus.

    As the Insurance Manager, you will balance individual contribution to high-impact projects with the leadership of a high-performing team to achieve ambitious business targets. You will play a pivotal role in empowering farmers to understand their coverage, fostering trust in our solutions, and enhancing resilience across our customers in Kenya and Zambia.. By aligning insurance strategies with Apollo’s mission, you will play an essential part in securing livelihoods and making farming more profitable and sustainable.

    Responsibilities:

    • Innovation and Product Development: Assess market needs and farmer feedback to design and enhance insurance products, including drought-resistant covers and tailored microinsurance options.
    • Stakeholder and Partner Relations: Build and maintain strong partnerships with insurers and regulatory authorities, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring compliance.
    • Data-Driven Risk Assessment: Use data models to forecast risks, set fair premiums, and design precise policies based on yield, weather, and demographic insights.
    • Efficient Claims Management: Streamline claims processes for quick, transparent payouts while analyzing trends to address recurring issues.
    • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Mitigation: Ensure all products meet legal standards and proactively address potential risks.
    • Farmer Education and Engagement: Educate farmers on coverage benefits and policies to build trust and encourage informed decision-making.

    Requirements:

    • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution, preferably in a STEM field. A master’s degree or specialization in actuarial science, insurance, or risk management is a plus.
    • Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in insurance, with a strong preference for experience in microinsurance or agricultural insurance.
    • Actuarial Expertise: Strong foundation in actuarial science, with demonstrated experience applying actuarial principles to design, evaluate, and optimize insurance products.
    • Project and Partner Management: Excellent project management skills, with proven partner management and negotiation abilities.
    • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of insurance compliance regulations.
    • Technical and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret data, generate insights, and drive decision-making. Proficiency in SQL or Python is an added advantage.
    • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust strategies as needed.
    • Customer Focus: Customer-centric mindset with a demonstrated ability to design solutions that address customer needs.
