    Lecturer in Law (2 Positions)

    Job Qualifications
    Minimum Requirements

    • Must have a Masters Degree in Law
    • Must have a PhD or equivalent Academic Doctoral Degree in Law
    • Must have at least three (3) years teaching experience at university level;
    • Must have published at least two articles in refereed journals or one university level textbook or two (2) book chapters.
    • Should be proficient in computer packages
    • Should have evidence of administrative experience

    Job Responsibilities

    • To actively participate in Department/Faculty/University community service activities
    • To attend and effectively participate in Departmental, Faculty and University meetings and functions
    • To be available for students and staff for office consultation
    • To be committed to continuous improvement of the Department and Faculty
    • To conduct research, publish and participate in seminars
    • To ensure regular review of his/her courses in conformity with quality assurance reports and emerging international best practice
    • To ensure that quality continuous assessment of students takes place and feedback promptly given to the students
    • To perform any other official duties that may be assigned by the Dean, the immediate supervisor and University Management

    • To teach at least 10 unique units (two semesters) per academic year

    Supply Chain Officer

    Job Qualifications
    Minimum Requirements

    • Master's degree in Procurement and Contract Management, Procurement and Logistics or Supply Chain Management or similar disciplines.
    • Professional qualification in Procurement and Supplies (CIPS or CPSP-K).
    • At least four (4) years working experience in a similar position.
    • More than five (5) years' administrative experience
    • Experience in Microsoft Office and an ERP System.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Coordinate prequalification of suppliers, selections and negotiations.
    • Ensure compliance to procurement procedures and practices.
    • Ensure implementation of Quality Management Systems in the department.
    • Ensure integration of ICT into the supply chain management operations;
    • Ensure preparation, consolidation and submission of Annual University Procurement Plan and Disposal Plan.
    • Ensure the tendering processes are executed as per the Procurement Act 2015.
    • Establish and update current procurement policies, procedures and practices.
    • Guide user departments on effective and efficient procurement procedures, specifications, and requests.
    • Identify, monitor and mitigate supply chain, strategic and operational risks by ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place.
    • Interpret and advise the Vice Chancellor on all procurement and asset disposal matters to ensure that the University complies with Procurement Laws, Regulations and Government Circulars.
    • Monitor and implement procurement processes through Enterprise Resource Planning System.
    • Oversee the development of work plans for the department, supervise implementation and evaluate performance to achieve the University’s strategic goal.
    • Oversee the disposal of obsolete, redundant and surplus items.
    • Preparation of tender documents, adverts and notices.
    • Prepare and participate in both internal and external audits.
    • Professional qualification in Procurement and Supplies (CIPS or CPSP-K);
    • Provide secretariat services to evaluation, disposal, negotiation and all procurement committee meetings.
    • Spearhead all negotiations with suppliers for the University’s value for money as required by the Procurement Laws and Regulations.
    • Verify procurement documents e.g. Local Purchase Orders, schedules, Request for Quotations, letters and reports.

    Executive Director - Administration & Human Resources

    Job Qualifications
    Minimum Requirements

    • Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or a related field.
    • Strong strategic planning and organizational development skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Should have a broad knowledge of the laws and policies governing University Education in Kenya.
    • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement and drive results in a complex organizational environment.
    • Licensed Member of a relevant professional body in good standing.
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management or Certified Human Resource Professional or related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in adminitration, human resource or a related field, preferably in a higher education setting.
    • Capacity for innovation, creativity and adaptability to respond to changing needs, technologies and best practices in administration and human resources within higher education.
    • Demonstrated expertise in human resource management including recruitment, employee relations, performance management and compliance.
    • Demostrated leadership experience in financial management and budget oversight preferably within a complex academic institution or similar organization.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and best practices related to employment, labour relations, and administrative operations.

    • Provide strategic guidance to the University Council and Executive Management on administrative and HR-related matters as per CUEA policy and labour laws.
    • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for administrative functions, namely facilities management, Transport, Maintenance, Security, Infirmary, Catering and Housekeeping.
    • Represent the organization in meetings, negotiations, and collaborations related to administrative and HR functions, and serve as a liaison between the organization and external stakeholders.
