    Stud Welder

    Description

    As a Stud Welder, you will play a crucial role in creating strong, durable metal structures through precise welding techniques. Your primary responsibility will involve designing, cutting, and permanently joining metal components, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Using advanced welding techniques such as electric arc welding, you will fuse metal materials with precision, contributing to the structural integrity and long-term reliability of our projects. Your expertise in handling high-heat equipment and ensuring accurate alignments will be critical in delivering superior craftsmanship across all assigned tasks.

    Key responsibilities

    Operational Management

    • Prepare surfaces to be welded by grinding, preheating, filing, drilling, cutting, and bending where necessary
    • Evaluate, design, repair, and/or fabricate machine work as required
    • Perform arc/spot welding where necessary
    • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and job specifications
    • Test and inspect welded surfaces to identify and fix possible flaws
    • Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical, or stud positions
    • Clean metal materials prior to welding to remove rust, grease, scale, or other contaminants
    • Inspect welds for accuracy and conduct quality checks
    • Preheat workpieces using torches to prepare them for bending or welding
    • Change wire and gas cylinders as needed
    • Operate grinders and scrapers to prepare metal surfaces for welding operations
    • Monitor welding equipment and request maintenance when required
    • Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used in a safe manner, adhering to all company safety protocols
    • Perform simple maintenance and repairs as required
    • Perform any other duty as defined by your superiors

    • Follow HSEQ procedures at all times

    Compliance

    • Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures
    • Comply with all relevant laws and regulations

    Other Duties

    • Perform any other duties assigned

    Qualifications

    • Education/Qualification: Training Certificate from a NITA accredited institution
    • Work Experience: 3–5 Years of work experience
    • IT Skills: Basic
    • Language: Fluent in written and spoken English and Kiswahili

    Mechanical Fitter

    Description

    As a Mechanical Fitter, your primary purpose is to play a critical role in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of key mechanical components that drive the success of our operations. You will be responsible for fabricating, fitting, installing, and aligning structures, static equipment, and rotating equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless integration of machinery and infrastructure, ensuring that every component operates efficiently and safely. With a strong focus on precision and teamwork, you will be at the heart of maintaining the operational excellence of our projects.

    Key responsibilities

    Operational Management

    • Analyzing blueprints for mechanical systems to determine the specifications of components to be constructed.
    • Constructing structural components from raw materials.
    • Inspecting fabricated components to ensure accuracy in size.
    • Installation of mechanical parts, including structure, rotating, and stationary equipment, as per procedures.
    • Achieving daily targets and weekly work plans with tools and equipment.
    • Providing daily work briefings to team members and ensuring daily housekeeping.
    • Adhering to all work site safety rules and regulations.

    Planning

    • Arranging tools and equipment in the store.
    • Reporting damaged tools or tools required for future work.

    People and Relationship Management

    • Instilling a "one family" culture and serving as an ambassador for the business's vision, mission, and values.

    Budget Management

    • Taking care of all site tools, equipment, and PPE.

    HSEQ

    • Following HSEQ procedures at all times.

    Compliance

    • Adhering to company policies, standard operating procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.

    Other Duties

    • Performing any other duties assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Education/Qualification: NITA/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
    • Work Experience: 5–10 Years of Experience
    • IT Skills: Basic
    • Language: Fluent in written and spoken English and Kiswahili
