    Lead - Data Governance and Data Management

    Job Purpose:

    This Role is responsible for driving the implementation of the bank data governance framework, ensuring that data is properly defined, owned, controlled, protected, and used as a trusted enterprise asset. The role supports the data office in establishing data policies, standards, data quality controls, metadata management, data ownership, and regulatory compliance practices across the bank. The role ensures that business and technical teams have clear accountability for data and that critical data used for reporting and analytics is accurate, consistent, secure, and fit for purpose.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement and operationalize the enterprise data governance framework, policies, standards, and controls.
    • Define and maintain data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across key data domains.
    • Drive data quality management through profiling, monitoring, issue tracking, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
    • Maintain enterprise metadata, data catalogue, business glossary, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.
    • Support master and reference data management to improve consistency across systems and reports.
    • Ensure data governance practices align with privacy, security, regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements.
    • Work with business, technology, risk, compliance, and analytics teams to resolve data issues and improve data usage.
    • Produce governance dashboards, data quality reports, issue logs, and management updates on data governance maturity.
    • Any other official duty that may be allocated from time to time.

    • The ideal candidate must possess the following:

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, Informatics,Information Systems or another quantitative.
    • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring
    • (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
    • Experience with Python.
    • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages.
    • 2-5 years’ experience in technology/data analytics

    Data Scientist

    Job Purpose:

    • The Data Scientist will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making across the Bank.
    • The role holder will analyze large and complex datasets to uncover actionable insights, build advanced analytical and machine learning models, and support optimization of business processes aimed at maximizing revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Enterprise level data hub: Collaborate with Engineering to develop and enrich enterprise level analytical platform.
    • Analytical Models: Design and launch innovative and complex analytical models to drive optimization and improvement of product development, Marketing techniques, risk management and business strategies.
    • Machine learning algorithm development: Understand of machine learning algorithms and their applications in areas banking.
    • Any other official duty that may be allocated from time to time.

    Data Engineer

    Job Purpose:

    • The role holder will be responsible for architecting, building, testing, and maintaining the data platform to support the business focus of driving Insights, Analytics, and Data.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Architecture design: Envision and designing the architecture of the data platform in line with business requirements.
    • Development of data related instances: Develop, customize and manage integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems.
    • Data pipeline maintenance: Responsible for Maintenance and monitoring of the overall performance and stability of the system.
    • Machine learning algorithm deployment: Responsible for deploying of Machine learning models to production environments. This entails, configuring data attributes, managing computing resources, setting up monitoring tools, etc.
    • Manage data and meta-data: Responsible for managing the data stored and structuring it properly via database management systems.
    • Any other official duty that may be allocated from time to time.

    Relationship Manager – Youth and Mdosi Junior Banking

    Job Purpose:

    • The Youth & Children Relationship Manager is responsible for acquiring, growing, and managing the Bank’s youth and children customer segments. The role focuses on deepening financial inclusion, driving early-life customer onboarding, and building long-term brand affinity among young customers, parents, schools, and youthfocused institutions.
    • The position ensures seamless end-to-end customer experience across the youth and children ecosystem — including schools, parents, guardians, youth groups, academies, and partner organizations — while aligning with the Bank’s enterprise growth strategy across retail, digital, and MSME segments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Business Development & Revenue Growth:

    • Grow the Bank’s market share within the youth and children ecosystem, including schools, parents, students, youth groups, academies, NGOs, and children-focused institutions.
    • Lead acquisition initiatives for children and teen accounts, youth savings, digital banking adoption, and early financial education programs.
    • Drive cross-selling opportunities across retail banking solutions for parents, guardians, school administrators, and youth entrepreneurs.
    • Build sustainable relationships with key stakeholders including school heads, education bodies, churches, youth leaders, development partners, and community-based organizations.
    • Support branches and regions in executing youth-focused campaigns, partnerships, and onboarding activities.
    • Champion customer experience for the youth and children segment, ensuring smooth onboarding, activation, and usage of digital channels.
    • Represent the department in relevant internal and external forums for youth and children.

    Operational Excellence & Controls

    • Ensure adherence to the Bank’s Audit, Risk, and Compliance policies.
    • Support regulatory compliance across youth and children onboarding processes.
    • Identify and escalate operational, customer, or reputational risks through approved channels.
    • Contribute to achieving acceptable rating in all audit reviews.

    Innovations & Customer experience

    • Collaborate with product and digital teams to design a competitive Customer Value Proposition (CVP) for children, teens, and youth.
    • Enhance customer journeys and segment-specific touchpoints to improve engagement and retention.

    • Develop and execute youth and children engagement programs, including financial literacy clubs, school
    • outreach, parent forums, and youth empowerment workshops.
    • Provide market intelligence and feedback to support product innovation and continuous service improvement.

    • Leverage data and insights to improve customer journeys and refine segment strategies.
    • Any other official duty that may be allocated by management from time to time.

    The Person:

    • The ideal candidate must possess the following:

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, social sciences or related field. MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
    • Professional Qualifications: CPA, ACCA, CFA, or other relevant banking/finance certifications.
    • Minimum 5-7 years in banking or financial services, with at least 3 years in relationship management for youth and children clients, MSMEs, or retail banking.
    • Proven track record in portfolio growth, client acquisition, and relationship management.
    • Experience in digital banking adoption, youth and children focused financial solutions is desirable
