    Migration Assistant

    About the Migration Section

    The Migration Section is responsible for receiving and verifying applications for visas, residence permits, and work permits, making decisions in visa cases, conducting interviews, handling inquiries via phone and email, and performing archiving and administrative tasks. The section currently handles applications from 24 countries within its regional mandate.

    The Embassy is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and responsible Migration Assistant. The role requires the ability to work independently, take initiative, manage fluctuating workloads, and remain effective under pressure. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential, as the role involves close cooperation with all members of the Migration Section.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Receive, register, and process applications for visas, residence permits, and work permits.
    • Conduct interviews with applicants for residence permit cases.
    • Respond to inquiries from applicants and stakeholders by telephone and email.
    • Perform filing, archiving, and general administrative tasks.
    • Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Head of Section.

    Essential Qualifications and Experience

    • A university degree in a relevant field such as law, political science, international relations, or another related discipline.
    • At least two years of relevant work experience in areas such as legal services, fraud prevention, migration services (visas/residence permits), or other closely related fields. (Experience should be from within the last three years.)
    • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
    • Additional language skills, particularly French and/or African languages, will be an added advantage.

    Desirable Experience

    • Previous experience working in migration-related roles at embassies, consulates, government authorities, or other institutions handling migration, legal, or regulatory matters.

    Sales Representative

    Job Purpose:

    The sales representative will be responsible for driving sales of janitorial services and cleaning products while cultivating strong client relationships and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires a blend of product knowledge, service awareness, and strategic selling to meet the needs of clients across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prospect, identify, and acquire new clients for janitorial services and cleaning products.
    • Present, promote, and sell detergents, disinfectants, toilet supplies, cleaning consumables, and equipment.
    • Market and upsell janitorial service packages, including daily cleaning, deep cleaning, pest control, and waste management.
    • Conduct effective product demos, service presentations, and client pitches.
    • Negotiate pricing, prepare proposals, and close deals to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
    • Build and maintain long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
    • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure satisfaction with delivered services and products.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and support.
    • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs to identify new opportunities.
    • Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, activity logs, and sales forecasts.
    • Provide feedback to internal teams regarding client needs, market gaps, and product performance.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Proven sales experience of at least 2 years, ideally within janitorial services, hygiene products, or the service industry.
    • Energetic, young, and outgoing personality with the confidence to engage clients and build rapport quickly.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to understand client needs and tailor appropriate solutions.
    • Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
    • Valid driving license is an added advantage.
