Roles & Responsibilities

Products Registration:

• Be conversant with and ensure that the company adheres to the rules governing pesticides registration and trade
• Be the liaison person for initiation and co-ordination for registration of the company products by the Pest Control Products Board.
• Work closely with the accredited evaluation institutions for the purpose of initiating registration trials, ensuring that trials are conducted in accordance with trial protocol and that trial results and recommendations are submitted to the Pest Control Products Board in time.
• Be responsible for company products labeling, label revisions and extensions as may be required by the Pest Control Products Board.
• Ensure that company products registrations are renewed according to the law.
• Be the company link person with Agrochemical Association of Kenya.

Marketing Support:

• Provide products technical information for preparation of company marketing material.
• Oversee and supervise the preparation of the companys marketing material.
• Give support in training and marketing of the companys products.
• Offer crop protection advice to the sales staff and farmers

Key Skills & Qualifications

• A Degree in Agriculture from a recognized university
• At least a B at O level.
• At least 3 years hands on experience in agricultural production, crop protection or pesticide evaluation (field sales experience is highly desired).
• Conversant with agricultural activities in the country
• Established proficiency in computers Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Good public speaking, communication, and customer service skills.
• Mastery of good written English and Swahili.

• Exemplary communication (written, oral) and interpersonal skills
• Excellent coding abilities to work on numerous parts of a system or application at the same time while being accurate and thorough

• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to offer support to clients in the USA
• Flexibility to adjust to clients changing requests

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe custody of cheque books, payment vouchers and receipts.
• Raising payment vouchers and ensuring allocation of costs is done as per approved chart of accounts
• Prepare all payments being made and ensure that there is substantial documental evidence to support the payment. Ensure the following documents are attached: LPO, Invoice, Delivery note, GRN and a report in case of a service.
• Ensure that all payments are approved as per the Company Finance policy and procedure manual.
• Reconcile all creditors accounts on monthly basis and ensure that all creditors are paid on time.
• Ensure the company accounts are correctly posted in Tally accounting software.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate company books of account.
• Manage petty cash expenditure, including money advanced to staff as imprest and ensure it is accounted for in time and records are maintained.
• Assist in preparing management accounts on quarterly basis.
• Responsible for computation of depreciation of company fixed assets.
• Carry out filing of Finance department, retrieval and re-filing of documents and ensuring documents are when required.
• Prepare monthly reports on petty cash balances, supplier balances, Assets register and staff loans, advances and imprest balances.
• Prepare and release creditors cheques.
• Assist whenever requested to do bank reconciliation on monthly basis.
• Assist in monthly VAT returns and filing and remittance of all other statutory obligations (Withholding Tax, HELB, NSSF, NHIF)
• Assist in half year and annual external financial audits.
• Be responsible for warehouse stock take.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasting activities.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• A Business-related Degree from a recognized university
• CPA-K qualification.
• At least 3 years relevant experience in a busy SME.
• At least grade B at O level.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
