Role Purpose

Reporting directly to the Service desk Administrator, the resource will be primarily in charge of managing the Service desk and providing 2nd level IT support while managing 1st level support personnel.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure that staff queries are resolved as soon as possible and within agreed SLA times.
• Coordinate with various other IT resources (Application and Infrastructure) to ensure that any IT PC/LAN/WAN issues are resolved as soon as possible
• Manage vendors deliveries & invoices appropriately.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on Jubilee owned IT assets on a regular basis to guard against early/frequent breakdowns
• Provide support for VC, meetings /conference room IT requirement.
• Close support calls within agreed time frames, accurate inventory is maintained and that agreed upon SLA with Users for their request is maintained.
• Providing first line support to customers & escalating customer calls to second line technical support.
• IT Communication for changes & critical updates from to the business & users.
• Any other tasks as assigned by the Service desk Administrator in accordance with the workings of the IT department of Jubilee Insurance

Functional Skills

• Active directory domain security and management
• ITIL Knowledge
• Basic Networking Skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from a recognized University
• ITIL
• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

Relevant Experience

• 2+ years in experience networking, hardware, and system software.

Role Purpose

The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of multi-platform web applications. The developer should have experience to participate in the entire app lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support. The developer will work closely with the IT and core business application teams to deploy end-to-end and seamless applications that integrate with the wider Jubilee digital apps eco system.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver across the entire Web/app lifecycle –concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
• Working closely with Web app developers to deploy seamless multi-platform and responsive apps
• Conceptualize, build, test, and realize digital applications
• Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions
• Build prototypes at technical scoping stage of projects
• Working along the Web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the core business applications and other customer focus initiatives.
• Working with the vendor developers to build and integrate user interfaces to create compelling device specific user interfaces and experiences
• Standardizing the platforms to minimize duplication of effort and improve time-to-market timelines
• Continuously re-factoring to optimize performance for the apps
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the web technologies space
• Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Attend industry events/ conference – both attending and presenting
• Obtain sign-off of newly developed applications and features
• Design and build unit, system, and integration tests for web application code

Functional Skills

• Understanding of compiled languages
• Strong Knowledge of PLSQL, SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system
• Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
• Good understanding of OO programming and design patterns
• Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, Android, jQuery, Ajax
• Experience building web and native apps
• Experience using social media APIs Ads integration using a 3rd party ad server (DART)

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer & Telecommunications field
• Relevant professional qualification

Relevant Experience

• 2+ Years’ experience in responsive web applications development environments
• Knowledge of the financial, and especially, insurance industry is an added advantage
• A thorough understanding of how to interpret customer needs and translate them into technical specifications
