    Cybersecurity Specialist, Threat Hunting

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify advanced threats, track the same, and mitigate them before organizational IT systems are attacked.
    • Continuously detect, analyze, and combat advanced cyber threats. Detect vulnerabilities and mitigate the associated cybersecurity risk before it affects the Bank.
    • Search for evidence of active threats within the Bank’s technological environment that may have bypassed both preventative and detective controls using the latest threat hunting tools and techniques.
    • Continuously strengthen the Bank’s cybersecurity posture through research, threat simulations, threat hunting, and offensive security engagements.
    • Work with the wider Cybersecurity Intelligence Security Operations Centre (CISOC) technical teams to gain insight into critical information security controls and architecture specifics to develop effective threat hunting strategies and analytics that identify malicious behavior accurately while maintaining a low false positive rate.
    • Analyse and correlate large data sets to uncover novel threats and attack techniques that may be present within the Bank’s environments.
    • Collaborate with Security and Threat Monitoring, Threat Intelligence, and Incident Response Specialists to identify opportunities to develop analytical methods to detect advanced threat actors who utilize emerging tactics, techniques, and procedures.
    • Develop and document new and innovative threat hunt hypotheses and methodologies to augment the team’s ability to find existing or new cyber threats that are otherwise going unidentified or unnoticed.
    • Act as a thought leader in the design of cutting-edge detective, preventative, and proactive controls.

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following: 

    • A Bachelor's degree in IT/ Computer Science/ Telecommunications/ Engineering (Electrical or Electronic) or related field from a recognized university. 
    • Must possess at least one security certification from the list: 
      • Certified SOC Analyst (CSA)
      • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
      • Certified Incident Handler (E|CIH)
      • GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
      • GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
      • GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)
      • GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM)
      • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
      • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
      • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
      • Security+
      • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). 
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Information Technology; with at least 2 years’ experience in Information/Cyber Security. 
    • 1 year experience in Security Operations Centre/Security Monitoring/Endpoint Detection and Response/Network Detection and Response.
    • Experience in Security Tools Administration (SIEM, DAM, WAF, etc.) or Incident Response and Management is desired.
    • Experience working in in the financial services industry and in a complex technological environment is desired.

    Agency Support Specialist

    Job Description

    • Providing technical 2nd level support for the Bank's digital channels namely: POS, ATM, Agency Banking, Ecommerce as well as Host to Host Integration to 3rd Party partners. 
    • Provide first level IT training and support to users in addition to keeping track of user issues and oversee their prompt resolution.
    • Delivering business quality solutions by ensuring that they are well tested and are rolled out in a manner that adheres to established business processes.
    • Work closely with IT Security to ensure that the Agency and Merchant Systems are well secured and in implementing SSL and other encryption certificates for ensuring robust and secure Digital Channels services.
    • Performing core systems administration tasks that include, but not limited to, maintaining an inventory of systems, patch management and security attestation of authorized users. 
    • Configuring products and parameters in the Card Management Systems, Card Switch and Merchant/Agency systems. 
    • Support in ensuring timely processing of both incoming and outgoing settlement files for Visa, MasterCard, UPI and JCB as well as timely delivery of related MIS reports to users.
    • Performing core systems administration tasks that include, but not limited to, maintaining an inventory of systems, patch management and security attestation of authorized users. 
    • Continual Service Improvement by recommending and implementing upgrades or changes to the Card Switch, ATM, POS and Agency banking systems.
    • Develop subject matter expert knowledge of Card Systems, ATM, Agency/Merchant banking and Ecommerce payment banking technologies.

    The Person

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or related
    • At least four years’ experience in information technology with at least 2 years’ experience in Card systems administration.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in Agency, Merchant and Ecommerce.
    • 1 year experience Banking Operations.

    Applications Support Manager


    • Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs. Recommend, develop and administer policies and procedures. Recommend, within divisional policy, appropriate service and staffing levels. 
    • Plan, direct, coordinate and review the work plan for Applications Support staff. Assign work activities, projects and programs. Review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures. Meet with staff to identify and resolve problems. 
    • Implement system changes through automation, process change, management solutions and training. 
    • Conduct diagnostic investigations of system errors and implement or recommend solutions or methodologies for resolution. Consult with vendors regarding system functionality. 
    • Prepare various documentation including project reports, process and user manuals, presentations, strategic and technical plans and other related information on assigned application analyses.
    •  Develops risk management procedures, business continuance scenarios, contingency and disaster recovery plans for central and distributed systems and networks to maintain operations during downtime and/or major disasters. Identifies and makes recommendations regarding critical points of failure. Develops and implements policies and procedures for business continuance and disaster recovery plans. Proactive in building processes to minimize/eliminate downtime.
    • Responsible for researching, developing and implementing testing methods and procedures. Ensures that products meet the highest quality standards. Monitors and reports on defects. 
    • Review proposed systems software for compliance with applicable quality assurance standards before acquisition or implementation


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Information Systems or related
    • Professional Qualifications MCP/MCSA/MCSE /MCITP/ITIL 
    • LINUX Administration is required.
    • Master’s degree in Management / IT is an added advantage


    Minimum No of Years’ Experience Required 4 in:

    • Operational characteristics of a variety of computer platforms and operating systems
    • Operational characteristics, services and activities of an information systems and analysis program
    • Principles and practices of application software installation and support
    • Basic budgeting, contracting, purchasing practices, policies and procedures
    • Methods and techniques used in the installation, administration, monitoring, upgrading and problem resolution of central application software systems
    • Principles and procedures of quality assurance and security related to complex, large computer systems and applications
    • Principles and practices of application development and troubleshooting
    • Effective analysis, communication, presentation and customer relationship skills
    • Knowledge of relevant industry (banking) practice
    • Principles and practices of project management and administration
