    Laboratory Analyst - Kericho

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collect, receive and process patient specimens including, but not limited to, blood, urine, respiratory and wound swab cultures.
    • Prepare media, solutions and reagents in accordance with standard operating procedures
    • Perform basic microbiology and molecular techniques including general microscopy, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, conventional and real­ time PCR.
    • Oversee data and specimen process management by ensuring quality of research data entry in worksheets and notebooks, freezer inventories and electronic databases.
    • Operate basic laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, Class II Biological Safety Cabinets, analytical balances and autoclave.
    • Perform daily maintenance and make minor adjustments and calibrations to equipment.
    • Package and ship isolates to and from partner laboratories.
    • Order, receive and store study supplies and maintain supply inventories.
    • Prepare reports, write standard operating procedures and communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff.
    • Manage data inputs in project databases and perform basic data analysis.
    • Participate and assist in QA/QC, safety, competency and proficiency testing programs.
    • Train student interns and staff and/or scientists where applicable.
    • Comply with all relevant safety, hygiene and infection control policies.
    • Be prepared to work on weekends and long hours if necessary.
    • Any other duties as allocated by the Laboratory Manager, Project Manager or Principal Investigator (Pl).

    Biostatistician/Bioinformatics - Kericho

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to designing research projects that apply valid scientific techniques and use information obtained from baselines or historical data to structure uncompromised and efficient analyses;
    • Assist in planning data collection methods for specific projects and determine the types and sizes of sample groups to be used;
    • Assist in adapting statistical methods to solve specific problems in biomedicine and other relevant fields;
    • Develop and test experimental designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods;
    • Provide support for analysis and interpretation of statistical data to identify significant differences in relationships among sources of information;
    • Participate in developing an understanding of fields to which statistical methods are to be applied to determine whether methods and results are appropriate;

    • Participate in preparing data for processing by organizing information, checking for any inaccuracies, and adjusting and weighting the raw data;

    Senior Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Developing documentation for Dynamics 365 Business Central applications and drawing up hardware specifications according to instructions;
    • Analysing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions and security systems;
    • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive grants management system leveraging advanced ERP technologies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices;
    • Conduct detailed business process reengineering to optimize grant management workflows;
    • Integrate the grants management system with existing financial systems, ensuring seamless data flow and robust financial reporting capabilities;
    • Utilize ERP systems such as Dynamics 365, SAP, or Oracle for customization and configuration to meet specific business and compliance requirements.
    • Support the establishment of a one-stop-shop grants management unit by integrating key functions such as finance, HR, procurement, audit, compliance, and legal into a unified platform;
    • Ensure the integrated system architecture supports comprehensive grant management, budgeting, and auditing functionalities;
    • Implement security protocols and compliance measures to meet local and international regulatory standards, including intellectual property and data protection laws;
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system scalability and operational efficiency.
    • Develop system documentation, including configurations, business processes, and user guidelines;
    • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system functionalities and compliance with stakeholder requirements;
    • Provide end-user support and training, translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring effective system usage;
    • Monitor system performance post-implementation, identifying areas for improvement and optimization, and implementing necessary enhancements;
    • Maintaining an up-to-date equipment maintenance register;
    • Installing, configuring, and monitoring Dynamics 365 Business Central components and integrations with other systems;
    • Updating and maintaining the Institute’s Dynamics 365 Business Central environment
    • Performing regular data and application backups for Dynamics 365 Business Central
    • Mentoring staff and providing technical guidance on Dynamics 365 Business Central.

    Vacancy Requirements:

    • At least four (4) years of relevant work experience.    Mandatory
    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;    Mandatory

    Senior Clinical Officer - Manda Bay Base

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Take history from patients and examine them to make appropriate diagnosis of common ailments.
    • Interpret laboratory results to make proper diagnosis.
    • Counseling patients in health-related matters for psychological healing.
    • Prescribe drugs to patients to ensure they get the required treatment.
    • Treating and follow up of patients and clients in medical health institutions and study sites.
