    Deputy Director of Physical Planning

      Duties and Responsibilities

    • Developing plans for strategic county projects and programmes
    • Interpreting county policies
    • Formulation of strategies
    • Contacting thematic issue research on matters relating to strategic county project and programmes
    • Supervising preparation of county urban and rural plans
    • Implementing strategies for public education
    • Participation and engagement
    • Preparing annual state of physical planning reports on county projects /programmes
    • Providing guidance to liaison committees and secretariats

    Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

    • Have at least eighteen (18) years of experience of which five (5) should be in Public Service
    • Have a Bachelor degree in any of the following disciplines Urban and Regional planning. Urban planning or town planning from a recognized institution
    • Have a Masters degree in urban and regional planning, urban planning, or town planning from a recognized institution
    • Be a corporate member of Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town planning chapter)
    • Be a registered by the physical planners Registration Board
    • Have certificate in computer from a recognized institution

    Deputy Director Land Surveys

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Developing new land survey techniques and policies
    • Assessing human capacity development needs in line with the changing professional demands
    • Supervising research of new and emerging technologies
    • Verifying cadastral, adjudication, topographical, sub- divisional schemes, photo engineering surveys
    • Carrying out quality control of astronomical, gravity, magnetic, cadastral, VLBI observations, adjudication and general boundary surveys
    • Calibrating and certifying survey equipment.
    • Estimating and costing of survey projects.

    Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

    • Have at least eighteen (18) years of experience of which five (5) should be in Public Service
    • Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Land surveying and photogrammetry, Geomatic, Geomatics Engineering. Technology in Geomatics, Technology in Geo-informatics, Geo- spatial Engineering. Philosophy in Technology (Survey) from a recognized institution.
    • Masters in any of the following disciplines: Land Surveying, Land management. Cartography, Photogrammetry, Photolithography, Geomatic, Geomatic Engineering, Technology in Geomatics. Technology in Geoinformatics, Geo- spatial Engineering, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Urban or Regional Planning, Geodesy, Hydrography. Environmental Science, Information Science or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Full membership of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (MISK).
    • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;

    Senior Assistant Director of Pharmaceutical, Services/Pharmaceutical Specialist I

      Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinating pharmaceutical services in a health facility;
    • Coordinating medicine and therapeutics committee activities in health facility;
    • Developing and reviewing standard operating procedures for all pharmaceutical services in the facility;
    • Conducting research on medicine utilization;
    • Providing continuous professional development education to pharmacists;
    • Evaluating appropriateness of donated medical supplies;
    • Maintaining pharmaceutical inventories;
    • Participating in facility management committees;
    • Providing medicinal information in preparation of patient drug management therapies;
    • Coordinating preparation of annual work plans and ensuring they are adhered to;
    • Coordinating capacity building and deployment of dental personnel.

    Requirements for appointment

    • Have at least eighteen (18) years of experience, five (5) of which should be in public service.
    • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm) degree from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy and Poison Board;
    • Masters degree in any of the following: Pharmaceutical Policy Analysis and Formulation, Pharmacognosy and Complementary Medicine; Toxicology; Clinical Pharmacy; Pharmacovigilance and Pharmaco-epidemiology; Medicine Supplies Management: Medicine Regulation; Narcotic and Psychotropic substances Control; Pharmaceutics; Pharmacology and therapeutics; Pharmaceutical Analysis; Tropical and Infectious Diseases; Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Industrial Pharmacy; Health system Management; Pharmaceutical Care; Health Informatics; Health Economics; Epidemiology; Biostatics; Medical Statistics; Drug Design and Development; Clinical Trials; Quality Assurance; Radio Pharmacy; Public Health, Microbiology, or Molecular Pharmacology from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy and Poison Board.
    • Certificate of Registration by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
    • Valid practicing license from Pharmacy and Poisons Board
    • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
