    Finance Specialist

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •  Provide expertise in analysis of the design, effectiveness, and additionality of KIM's financial institution partnerships, including with MFIs, commercial banks, non-bank financial institutions, impact private equity funds and pension funds.
    •  Review and analyze business and financing models employed by the activity.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    •  A minimum of a master's degree from accredited college or university in economics, law, business, or any closely related field
    •  Minimum of 10 years' experience in Kenyan SME-oriented financial services and/financial sector development activities, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in multiple segments.
    •  Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of financial sector development activities.
    •  Strong relationship management, communication and writing skills.
    •  Fluent in English and Kiswahili

    Business Enabling Environment Specialist

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •  Support the evaluation in assessing the design, delivery and effectiveness of KIM's national and county-level public sector partnerships
    •  Support the evaluation in assessing KIM's effectiveness in improving the investment climate for new and existing SMEs.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    •  A minimum of a master's degree from accredited college or university in political science, public policy, or a closely related field.
    •  Minimum of 5 years' experience in the design, delivery or evaluation of business enabling environment improvement activities, including related to strengthening the national and/or local investment climate in Kenya
    •  Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and collect information from a wide range of public sector officials.
    •  Demonstrated experience in undertaking evaluations of business programs
    •  Fluent in English and Kiswahili

    SME Investment Specialist

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •  Provide technical expertise related to the analysis of the design, implementation and effectiveness of KIM activities intended to strengthen the capacity of SMEs to access private capital
    •  Support the TL to assess the additionality and outcomes of KIM's assistance on the activities of SME beneficiaries.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    •  Advanced degree (finance and Investment) in relevant field (e.g., financial services and business development services)
    •  Minimum of 10 years' experience related to SME development and investment mobilization, with experience in Kenya preferred
    •  Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of SME development programs
    •  Strong relationship management, communication and writing skills.
    •  Fluent in English and Kiswahili
