    Card Systems Engineer

    Job Purpose Statement

    The purpose of this role is to ensure card management systems, card production systems / hardware and other related card support applications are implemented and supported adequately; in a manner that ensures that customer receives reliable service, their information is secured properly, and Service Level agreements of uptime and performance is attained and always maintained. The role also involves ensuring delivery of new initiatives and projects that cover any of the
    supported systems or related areas.

    Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

    Application Development 30%

    • Provide Second and third Level technical & application
    • Support for card products family of systems and supporting environments
    • Facilitate Card application performance tuning, application upgrades, documentation of procedures and overall system optimization to ensure excellent user experience and customer service

    Incident / Problem Management 40%

    • Resolve any incidents causing interruption of service in the quickest and most effective way possible according to defined SLA's.
    • Ensure availability of 24 hour on-call support and provide remedial actions so as to observe service level agreements with business

    Change Management 10%

    • Work closely with system vendors, , Tieto, VISA , MasterCard,XIT,NCR etc. for escalations and system upgrades to ensure compliance with dynamic regulatory requirements

    IT Governance and Security 10%

    • Key systems configurations to ensure generation and maintenance of audit trails for any changes occurring in sensitive databases are captured and secured

    Business Continuity Management 10%

    • Flag areas having inadequate DR, work with IT Infrastructure and Manager Core Systems towards mitigating actions where applicable to enable business operations if BAU fails (specific to Card Systems). 
    • Test and Document Disaster Recovery Procedures

    Ideal Job Specifications

    • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science /Information Technology - Minimum Upper 2nd Class honours.
    • Three year's practical proven experience in installation, setup, support and troubleshooting of any CMS Application across all layers. Preference given to Tieto, XInfotech and CyberSource.
    • Experience in supporting core banking system, will also be an added advantage.
    • Proven experience in supporting banking channels
    • Proven Experience in SQL Scripting
    • Proven experience in systems analysis, design, implementation and support
    • Working knowledge of Card Industry Security Standard – PCI-DSS
    • Proven knowledge of banking operations, operations in business units and business impact analysis
    • A good understanding of Operating systems; particularly Linux, UNIX and Microsoft Operating systems.

    Business Analyst

    Job Purpose Statement

    The Business Analyst will be responsible for applying business analysis tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison among stakeholders in the Business Units in order to understand the structure, policies and operations, and to recommend technical solutions that enable the Business Units to achieve their goals. The role is responsible for carrying out business analysis tasks, including the identification and documentation of actionable user requirements in the form of a Business Requirements Document. 

    Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

    Strategic Planning 30% 

    • Together with the architects, communicate with the heads of their business units to understand their local strategies, develop corresponding long-term plans for IT, negotiate these plans with local business leaders and document the agreed plans for IT as Considerations and Visions relevant for their business units 

    Initiative Delivery 70% 

    • Participate in Initiative Delivery Step 1: Initiatiation, which entails definition of the BRD (by BA), Solution Overview and Solution Designs (by Architects).
    • Work with the teams that are writing business cases for new initiatives, participate in writing of RFP documents, work with product management teams to define solution features.
    • Analysis and Documentation of Requirements- The role will be responsible for the analysis of Business Requirements and documenting Business, Requirements Documents (BRD) using documents from business teams such as Product Management, for example documents on Confluence, and screen mock-ups. The BRD will clearly define the requirements from a technical perspective, documenting details of new solution technical capabilities and/or how existing solutions will be modified to provide the desired technical capabilities. The role is also responsible for questioning – to a point of technical clarity – the need for the requests made in the business requirements
    • Requirements assessment and validation: The role must test requirements (prior to implementation) to ensure that they meet stakeholder objectives and are technically sound. In order to do this, the role must develop the master test plan, which is developed to test the requirements, and which may also be responsible for Technical Quality Assurance once the final project deliverables are ready.
    • Management, Communication and Control of Business Requirements: Using the Requirements Work Plan, the role shall manage the business analysis process; the role shall also manage changes to documents and requirements and the RWP; track status of tasks in the RWP; communicate with stakeholders such as the project manager, business sponsor, and others involved in the business analysis and project management process.
    • Assists the architqects to write Solution Overviews and Solution Designs based on the BRD

    Ideal Job Specifications

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study from a recognized university.
    • At least 3 years background in software development inclusive of databases, applications, infrastructure, cloud technologies.
    • Preferably certified in CBAP
    • Familiarity with DevOps, Agile working and CICD
    • Experience in writing formal Use Cases and other UML tools
    • Experience in software development lifecycle management using waterfall, agile & hybrid methodologies.
    • Excellent systems analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills along with meeting facilitation skills
    • Ability to communicate and influence others.

    Manager , Test Automation

    Job Purpose Statement

    This is a technical role that is responsible for the analysis, design, development and management (technical support) of automated tests for new and existing software. The position requires solid knowledge of software test automation using BDD/ATDD automation frameworks. The role holder should have thorough understanding of SDLC with a focus in automated QA process in agile development environments. This is a role that requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of an agile team, to manage competing priorities and ensure that quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition through to delivery.

    Software QA Processes 40% 

    • The design/analysis, development, delivery and ongoing improvement of all Systems QA processes

    Software Testing 30% 

    • Apply knowledge and experience, showing deep understanding of Software Testing Standards to assist business and product teams develop products that solve business needs

    Governance 10% 

    • Adherence to internal policies and procedures for the development and management of NCBA application development process along ITIL and other best practice standards.
    • Support, maintain and audit existing service lifecycle artefacts, to agreed SLAs.

    Stakeholder Management 10% 

    • Effective management of relationships and protocols with other technical platform owners and internal business owners

    Continuous Improvement 10% 

    • Advise internal customers on technology improvements that will ensure realization and maximization of business objectives

    Ideal Job Specifications

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. A Master’s degree in Technology or Business-related course is an added advantage
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT systems development within a large highly digitized organization designing, implementing and managing mission critical systems, with at least 2 of those years within software testing
    • Experience in writing, executing and monitoring automated test suites using a variety of technologies such as Cucumber, Concordion, Selenium, Appium, Robotium, SoapUI, Jmeter
    • Certification and experience implementing best practice frameworks e.g. ITIL, PRINCE2
    • ISTQB Certification is a plus
    • Hands on experience in software development with major languages Java, Kotlin, C++, C# and practical experience using relation RDBMS e.g. Oracle and MS SQL etc.
    • Strong understanding of SOA lifecycle, Integration patterns and standard methodologies.
    • Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands and SQL will be required.
    • Deep understanding of industry standard formats and protocols (JMS, SOAP, XML/XPath/XQuery, REST and JSON)
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • A good knowledge of the systems and processes within Financial Services industry
    • Issue/bug tracking tools e.g. JIRA
    • Experience with CI/CD tools e.g., Jenkins, Puppet, Chef
