DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Loading and off-loading of warehouse goods.
• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
• Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
• Securing loads to machine before transportation.
• Inspecting Forklift before operations and documentation.
• Scheduling forklift trucks for maintenance and repairs.
• Operating and managing other technical equipment. E.g. Manual/Electric stackers.
• Managing inventory by following warehouse standards.
• Identifying workplace safety hazards and taking appropriate measures.
• Adhering to safety management standards on site.
• Adhering to production schedules i.e. OTIF and delivery standards i.e. FIFO.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years of Forklift operations in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Forklift service and maintenance is an added advantage.
• At least a D+ in KCPE is required.
• Holder of Forklift Operations and Safety certificate of training from a recognized institution.
• Holder of a valid driver’s license.
• Certificate in Automotive Engineering is an added advantage.
• Creative and Innovative skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Production

• Set the machine assigned
• Making sure that goods produced are of good quality and meet the daily target of the machine
• Supervising the checking and packaging of the products as they come out from the machine
• Making sure that the production form is filled correctly daily
• Separates excess material and unsatisfactory product for reuse using grinding machine

Planning

• Ensuring sufficient issued materials have been  picked from the stores on time to avoid delays and machine stoppages
• Making sure that material reconciliation is done daily

Maintenance

• Perform daily autonomous maintenance of the machine and make sure the machine is always clean and free from oil leakages and if any it should be reported immediately by filing the work order form
• Making sure that work order forms are filled in case of any break down
• Troubleshooting and checking all machine components and confirming all sensors are OK

Working Area /Health and Safety

• Ensure that the working area is clean at all times and the factory cleaning days are observed at all times
• Ensure that all raw materials are appropriately arranged
• Ensure all the drums for material have wheels and are clean
• Observe and follow all the communicated safety procedures

QUALIFICATIONS
Know-How, Technical Skills and Experience

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to complete task and a faster learner
• Good machine aptitude
• Knowledge of Pneumatic, Electronic, Hydraulic and Mechanical systems
• An added advantage to have 1-2 years relevant experience in a Plastic company as a machine attendant/Operator
• Basic understanding of manufacturing Environment/procedures
