    Programmes Accountant

    The Programmes Accountant will support the effective financial management of programme funds by ensuring accurate accounting, budget monitoring, reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and statutory regulations. The role is responsible for maintaining strong internal controls, supporting programme financial planning and reporting, and ensuring accountability and efficient utilization of resources across all programmes.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • CPA K qualification required.
    • Minimum of three (3) years' relevant accounting experience, preferably within an NGO environment.
    • Experience in donor-funded project accounting and reporting is added advantage.
    • Strong understanding of budgeting, donor compliance, and financial controls.
    • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. 
    • High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.

    Leather Artisan – Maa Bead-Work

    JOB PURPOSE:

    • REPORTS TO: Maa Bead-Work Production Manager
    • Beadwork is seeking a skilled and versatile Leather Artisan to support the production of high-quality leather products integrated with traditional Maasai beadwork. The artisan will be responsible for cutting, stitching, assembling, and finishing leather products, ensuring durability, neat finishing, and consistency while contributing to product development and efficient production processes.

    ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Certificate or Diploma in Leatherwork, Leather Technology, Fashion Design, or a related field.
    • Minimum two (2) years' practical experience in leather product manufacturing and assembly.
    • Strong skills in leather cutting, shaping, hand stitching, machine stitching and finishing.
    • Experience producing bags, belts, wallets and other leather accessories.
    • Ability to work with different types of leather and production materials.
    • Knowledge of leather production tools and equipment.
    • Experience integrating beadwork into leather products is an added advantage.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

    Project Extension Officer – Olderkesi Region

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The Project Extension Officer will serve as The Maa Trust's lead representative and focal point in the Olderkesi region, responsible for coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on integrated community development programmes. The role will support the delivery of interventions in Education, Child Protection, Gender and Safeguarding, Health, WASH, Infrastructure Development, Livelihoods, and Community Leadership, while strengthening partnerships and promoting sustainable community-led development.
    • The Project Extension Officer will ensure that programmes are delivered effectively, meet donor and organizational requirements, respond to community priorities, and contribute to improved wellbeing and resilience of communities within the Olderkesi region.

    ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Education, Public Health, Gender Studies, Development Studies, Project Management, or related field.
    • Minimum 2 years' relevant experience.
    • Experience in Child Protection, Education, WASH, Gender, Health, Livelihoods, or Community Development.
    • Experience in project monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
