    Pharmacist, Per Diem

    Job Summary

    The Clinical Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care as required by the Medical Center's patients. The Clinical pharmacist performs clinical and educational functions required in drug monitoring, with emphasis on appropriateness, safety and cost-effective drug therapy. The Clinical pharmacist is actively involved in quality improvement activities of medication use throughout the medical center as assigned. This position also functions as a staff pharmacist up to 50% of the time as assigned The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

    Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $104.79 - $104.79 (Hourly Rate).

    Required Qualifications

    • 1 year's experience with demonstrated competency in area of specialty
    • PharmD Degree

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 1-2 years of experience with a minimum of 1 year in area of related field
    • Completion of a Residency Program or equivalent
    • Board Certified

    Surgical Technician

    Job Summary

    Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse circulator, the ORT assists the surgeon and the nurse in delivering care to the patient undergoing surgery The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

    • Associates Degree
    • One year (When the unit is staffed with enough experienced surgical techs to support a recent graduate of a surgical tech program or internship, applicants without the requisite experience may be considered)

    Diet Clerk, Per Diem

    Job Summary

    This person works as a team to provide food service that is safe, accurate, and responsive to the customer and patient’s needs. This person may work within the Diet Office in one or more of the following areas. Diet Clerk duties include processing patient and guest meal orders using phone, foodservice software, and electronic health record in a timely and accurate manner based on diet orders and restrictions. Formula Tech duties include preparation and mixing of patient formula orders in a timely and accurate manner based on formula orders and safety guidelines. Human Milk Tech duties include preparation and fortification of human milk orders in a timely and accurate manner based on fortification orders and safety guidelines. Tray in Motion (TIM) Clerk duties includes working on trayline to check meal trays for accuracy and deploying trays from kitchen to tray passers in a timely and accurate manner using scanners, meal carts, and other transport equipment. This person maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer, patient, and staff interactions and is looked upon as the ambassador for the department of Nutrition and Food Services. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $33.26 - $33.26 (Hourly Rate).

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • A minimum combined 2 years experience in patient food service operations and/or customer service call center operations and/or nutrition education OR 3 years customer facing experience within the food service, hospitality or retail industries.    
    • Read, write, follow written or oral instructions and be understood in English
    • Ability to use math skills at or above high school level
    • Basic computer skills
    • This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Two years of college or equivalent
    • Some college level nutrition course work preferred
    • Fluency in Spanish preferred
    • State of California Food Handler certification or Servsafe certification
