    Risk And Compliance Officer

    About the Role

    • Reporting to the Assistant Manager Risk & Compliance, the role will support the implementation and monitoring of the company’s risk and compliance framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. The role will also play a key part in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the execution of the Risk and Compliance Management framework across the business.
    • Assist in AML/CFT compliance activities including client due diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, and ongoing monitoring.
    • Investigate AML alerts, manage high-risk customer accounts, and escalate or file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) where required.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date AML records, compliance logs, and documentation.
    • Assist in preparing and reviewing internal policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
    • Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to authorities such as the Financial Reporting Centre (FRC) and Capital Markets Authority (CMA).
    • Monitor investment portfolios to ensure compliance with CMA guidelines and internal limits.
    • Conduct routine compliance monitoring and real-time surveillance to identify and mitigate risks.
    • Provide day-to-day compliance guidance to business units on applicable regulations and internal policies.
    • Assist in ensuring compliance of pension portfolios with Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA) guidelines.
    • Support the review of marketing materials and client communications to ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Track regulatory changes and assist in implementation of new requirements.

    Who We’re Looking For

    Essential Knowledge/Skills and Experience Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • A Professional certification in risk, compliance or Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) will be an added advantage
    • At least 1-2 years’ relevant experience in a compliance, risk or audit role within the financial services industry, preferably fund management or banking.
    • Demonstrated experience in maintaining compliance records, conducting assessments, or supporting regulatory reporting processes.

    Network Security Engineer

    About the Role

    • Reporting to the ICT Infrastructure Manager the role will be responsible for ensuring CIC Network (LAN & WAN) connectivity to all our Branches and Regional Offices and protecting the computer systems, networks, and data against security breaches, unauthorized access, and cyber threats

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, implement, and manage network security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System), and other security appliances
    • Administration, management and maintenance of computer network systems, data circuits, application servers, routers, LAN, WAN and phone systems.
    • Responsible for the configuration and installation of network appliances and network software packages.
    • Core Network and Support via installation and configuration of networking hardware and software components
    • Maintain documentation related to network security configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
    • Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities, analyze logs, and investigate security incidents to identify and respond to potential threats.
    • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and potential security threats including the timely deployment of security patches and updates for network devices, operating systems, and software applications.
    • Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices, policies, and procedures.

    Essential Knowledge/Skills and Experience Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or in a related field
    • Certifications in CCNA
    • ITIL, and/or, CISA is desirable

    Cloud Engineer

    About the Role

    • Reporting to the ICT Infrastructure Manager, the role will be responsible for ensuring design, implementation and management of cloud-based systems and building & maintaining cloud infrastructure for CIC Group. The role shall be involved in creating and managing scalable cloud-based services, overseeing data storage solutions, cost optimization, providing support, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless cloud operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure Management

    • Design, build, and manage highly secure, scalable, and available cloud architectures to meet business needs.
    • Oversee the configuration of cloud infrastructure components, including networking, security services, and storage solutions and hybrid connectivity.
    • Monitor cloud management and data storage services to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Support negotiation efforts with vendors to control costs and ensure scalability of cloud services.
    • Enforce cloud security best practices including IAM, RBAC, encryption, vulnerability management, and network segmentation.

    Development & Lifecycle Participation

    • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, and quality assurance.
    • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.

    Training, Innovation & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing training as needed.

    Underwriting Manager

    About the Role

    • Reporting to the ICT Infrastructure Manager, the role will be responsible for ensuring design, implementation and management of cloud-based systems and building & maintaining cloud infrastructure for CIC Group. The role shall be involved in creating and managing scalable cloud-based services, overseeing data storage solutions, cost optimization, providing support, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless cloud operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the end-to-end underwriting of Group Life new business, renewals, policy alterations and scheme administration.
    • Review and approve underwriting decisions within delegated authority while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
    • Drive timely renewal management, retention strategies and profitability of the Group Life portfolio.
    • Monitor portfolio performance through claims experience, loss ratios, premium adequacy and emerging risk trends, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
    • Oversee quotation preparation, pricing support and policy issuance within agreed service level agreements.
    • Lead implementation and continuous enhancement of Group Life underwriting systems and process automation initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, delegated authority limits and audit recommendations.
    • Manage facultative reinsurance referrals and ensure adherence to treaty arrangements.
    • Prepare and present underwriting performance reports, portfolio analytics and management information to support strategic decision-making.
    • Lead, coach and develop the Group Life underwriting team to deliver high performance, technical excellence and customer-centric service.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Claims, Actuarial, Finance, Operations, ICT and other stakeholders to support business growth and operational excellence.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance underwriting efficiency, customer experience and service delivery.
    • Support the development, review and implementation of Group Life products, underwriting guidelines and operational procedures to align with business strategy and market needs.
    • Manage service delivery by monitoring underwriting turnaround times, productivity and quality standards to ensure agreed customer service levels are consistently achieved.
    • Identify, assess and manage operational and underwriting risks while promoting a strong risk management culture and ensuring business continuity within the underwriting function.

    Who We’re Looking For

    Essential Knowledge/Skills and Experience Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial, Business, Insurance or Statistics.
    • Minimum of 10 Years work experience within a busy underwriting environment with supervisory experience of not less than 3 years
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Technical competence in insurance
    • Proficient in MS office tools
    • Excellent analytical skills
