Never pay for any notarisation, certificate or assessment as part of any recruitment process. When in doubt, contact us
Distro was built to take that work off their plate. Our AI handles the screening, scoring, and logistics so your team can do what only humans can: build relationships, evaluate culture fit, and make decisions that matter.
You will be the primary point of contact for L3 application support on our web-based platforms, owning issues through to resolution rather than routing them onward. Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex application problems escalated from clients, including performance issues, bugs, and system errors. Tracing root cause through .NET application code and down into SQL Server. Delivering the fix, or working with the development team on it, rather than handing over a description of the symptom. A real part of the job is making the same problem stop coming back: conducting root cause analysis on recurring issues and putting preventive measures in place, monitoring application performance and recommending optimizations, and writing the standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides that let other people resolve what used to reach you. You will also participate in deploying and testing updates, patches, and enhancements, and help end users understand the applications well enough to avoid predictable problems.
You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams on the genuinely complex problems, and with stakeholders on communication while an issue is live. If you enjoy uncovering the root cause of complex issues and communicating clear, honest answers when others are waiting for them, this could be an excellent fit.
You will need:
Nice to have:
You will join the AI Domain team, which owns the enterprise standards, reference architectures, approved model catalog, and governance safeguards for AI across the company. Within it you own the domain intelligence layer: the ontology, the agent workflow models, the fine-tuning strategy, and the intelligence pattern library that product teams build on. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role patterns here are proven through working proof-of-concepts before they become standards, so you will build as much as you write.
Four areas of ownership. The canonical ontology as a semantic layer spanning all PrismHR platforms entities, relationships, business rules, and terminology across co-employment, payroll, benefits administration, workers' compensation, onboarding, and compliance built with the product teams who own each data model, and governed as a living artifact. Agent workflow modeling: business processes decomposed into agentic workflows with tool boundaries, decision points, escalation paths, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints, defining where agents may act autonomously and where they must defer, especially around payroll, money movement, and compliance. Fine-tuning strategy: when to fine-tune, when to retrieve, when prompting is enough, with dataset curation standards covering labeling, provenance, retention, and residency, and domain-specific evaluation harnesses that measure accuracy in PEO and HCM rather than on generic benchmarks. And the intelligence pattern library: retrieval strategies, reasoning templates, agent scaffolds, and validation guards, each proven by a working proof-of-concept before publication and documented with its failure modes.
You will engage with product teams from design through go-live, advise on use-case feasibility and risk, act as the escalation point for domain-AI design questions, and contribute to standards conformance decisions and recommendations to the AI Domain Committee.
You will need:
You will also create and work security tickets against defined procedures, contribute to briefings and reports used in management reviews and compliance audits, propose improvements to standard operating procedures and tooling, partner with IT and product development teams on security operations and risk mitigation, and help colleagues understand security concepts as part of your role.
You will need:
Preferred:
You will also diagnose full-stack problems end to end (network, authentication, SSL, application), own topology documentation, build and test disaster recovery, and act as technical lead and mentor for the team.
You will need:
Your payroll expertise is the product. Most QA roles ask you to test what someone built. This one asks you to know payroll and benefits well enough to predict how it will break before the code exists. PrismHR is the HR, payroll, and benefits platform behind PEOs and ASOs across the United States, backed by Vensure Employer Solutions. Payroll is unforgiving — one mishandled deduction or multi-state tax scenario and a real person's paycheck is wrong. You will design and run test scenarios based on how people actually use the product, build realistic test data, own test strategy and risk on your projects, and report status clearly enough for release decisions. You will also raise the domain fluency of the whole QA team — which makes you unusually influential here.
You will need:
You will lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and work directly with product and QA. A lot of the interesting work is modernization — a mature payroll engine and a modern cloud stack, being joined together without ever dropping a pay run.
You will need:
This role is deliberately the rung where you prove you can hold technical direction through credibility rather than title.
You will need:
Nice to have:
As Lead Automation Engineer you own the automation strategy and the frameworks that implement it.
You will design and build scalable, reusable automation in Playwright and Cypress with JavaScript, across web and API surfaces, and integrate it into CI/CD so that it actually gates releases rather than producing reports nobody reads.
You will set automation standards and best practice across teams, review other engineers' automation code, and mentor QA engineers into stronger automation practice.
You will also lead our use of AI tooling in testing, test generation, maintenance, failure triage, and coverage analysis, which is genuinely open territory here rather than a solved problem you inherit.
You will work directly with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to define test strategy and acceptance criteria, analyze results, and drive root causes to resolution.
You will need:
You will design single-page applications over a Node.js API tier, evaluate technologies and build proof-of-concepts, write technical specifications, and communicate them credibly to engineers and executives alike. Live problems right now: mobile performance, per-tenant branding without redeployment, accessibility, and making a distributed system observable enough to diagnose rather than guess.
You will need:
We are hiring four automation engineers across senior and Staff level, which means there is genuine room here to come in and grow rather than slot into a fixed role. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks — not just write scripts inside someone else's. You will create and execute automated tests across web, mobile, and API surfaces, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. You will work with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to define test strategy and acceptance criteria, perform code reviews and set automation best practice, analyze results and drive root causes to resolution, and continuously improve coverage, efficiency, and reliability. You will mentor junior QA engineers on automation practice and tooling.
You will need:
You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and application deployment, automate build, test, release, and rollback, and integrate security scans, quality gates, and infrastructure validation into those pipelines. You will implement monitoring, alerting, and logging, participate in incident response and root cause analysis, and drive the post-incident improvements that actually stop the same thing happening twice. You will work closely with Software Engineering, QA, Security, and Architecture as a shared owner of production rather than a downstream service desk.
You will need
There is real scope to improve rather than only maintain. You will build tools and scripts that automate EDI setup and maintenance, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement in Agile ceremonies.
You will need:
You'll own quality for our reporting dashboards, data pipelines, and analytics tools end to end: designing test strategy, validating data accuracy across sources and ETL processes, and catching the kind of subtle data issue that a functional test would sail right past. You'll work closely with data engineers, product managers, and software developers to define what "correct" means before a feature ships, not after a client flags it.
You will need:
You will partner with product management on requirements before they are finalized, and with QA on whether the test strategy actually covers the risk. You will write technical documentation that survives after you move on. You will also work on the boundary between our modern stack and the mature payroll core, which is where the most interesting engineering problems on this platform live — real constraints, complex data, and a migration that has to happen without a single missed pay run.
You will need:
You will own solution architecture for cloud-native .NET applications, lead architecture reviews and modernization initiatives, drive microservices, API-first, and event-driven design, guide deployment strategy, observability, performance tuning, and production readiness, and mentor engineering teams across locations. You will collaborate directly with product, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders.
You will need:
You will partner with other architects on the architecture vision, work with executives on technology strategy, drive design and integration of major new capabilities with senior developers, and coach a group of architects and senior engineers. The problem set: a mature multi-value payroll engine, a modern cloud SaaS layer, an active modernization program, and a live question about where AI-driven patterns fit in an enterprise HR platform.
You will need:
You will debug real production issues across tiers, which is where most of the genuine learning on this platform happens, and work in containerized environments with Docker. AI is part of the work here, both in how we build — AI-assisted development is normal practice on this team — and in what we build, as AI capability moves into the product. If you are already using these tools seriously and thinking about where they help and where they mislead, that is directly relevant. There is a clear growth path toward Senior Software Engineer, and the modernization work happening between our mature payroll core and the modern stack means genuinely interesting architecture to grow into rather than years of maintenance.
You will need:
As a Staff Software Engineer you will own significant functional areas end to end-design, implementation, test coverage, and production accountability. You will diagnose the hard problems, the ones that have defeated other people, across the application and down into the database. You will set engineering standards, lead code reviews, and mentor engineers. And you will have real input into how and in what order this platform evolves, including where modernization makes sense and where stability is worth more.
You will need:
This is deliberately not a role that has stopped being technical. You will make architecture and design calls with your leads, review approaches, and stay credible in a code review.
If you want a purely process-facing management seat, this will frustrate you. You will work directly with product management on scope and priority, with architecture on technical direction, and with QA and DevOps on release quality. And you will be accountable for a product being genuinely finished — built, released, adopted, and supported — rather than for a set of sprints closing on time.
